Former colleagues' New Year's party~♪ I often go to Kyoteiro at Hirakata T-SITE, and I remember finding Ding's in Sanjo, Kyoto before and how delicious their soup dumplings were, so I thought I would go there again when I visit Kyoto...and lo and behold, they have a branch in Sakaisuji Hommachi! How convenient! This time, we made a reservation for a course meal! - Steamed edamame - Today's appetizer - Grilled soup dumplings with wings (2 pieces per person) Using a pizza cutter to cut the crispy skin, one bite and the soup bursts out, so satisfying! It's a bit cooler than when it's in the steamer, which is great for someone like me who has a sensitive tongue (lol). - Jade dumplings (2 pieces per person) These are the ones in the steamer. The skin is chewy and the filling is bouncy, a fantastic texture! - Vegetables-filled super tasty dumplings (3 pieces per person) These are the wing dumplings! A slightly light flavor. - Today's stir-fried crunchy vegetables A gentle flavor stir-fried in Chinese soup. The nice aroma of garlic gives your stomach some room (lol). - Fried chicken and french fries The coating is light and the fried chicken and skin-on potatoes are crispy! - Taiwanese street stall-style steamed vermicelli in a steamer Not fried vermicelli but steamed vermicelli! The flavor was a bit mild for me, so I added soy sauce to it! With this many dishes and all-you-can-drink included for 4,000 yen, what a deal! I want to go again since it's close to my workplace!

When I visited Ding's Sakai-suji Honmachi branch and found out that I could dine on the terrace with my dog, I was delighted. It was a wonderful experience to enjoy delicious food with my beloved pet, and we had the best time together. The steamed dumplings with vinegar were exquisite, with the perfect balance of meat juice and acidity spreading in my mouth with each bite. The juicy and delicious flavor, combined with the right amount of acidity, made it a delight to eat without getting tired of it. Additionally, the mapo tofu was authentic and had a deep, flavorful taste with a hint of Sichuan pepper. The high quality of the dishes made for a satisfying meal. What surprised me was that the lunch prices were under 1000 yen. I was truly amazed that such quality dishes could be enjoyed at such an affordable price. This restaurant offers excellent value for money. Despite entering just before the last order, the staff provided pleasant service. They greeted us with smiles and were attentive in taking orders and providing service. The warm atmosphere of the restaurant made it a comfortable space to enjoy our meal.

I went to Honmachi on November 4, 2022, and my car stopped at Sakaisuji Honmachi. I ended up at a ramen place, maybe? I went to the place across the street. The menu was a bit confusing with "Rich Dan Dan Noodles, Fried Soup Dumplings with Wings" lunch set. It took about 10 minutes for the food to arrive. When it came, I was surprised to find that the Dan Dan noodles were quite ordinary. The soup was a bit spicy and made me cough. I didn't really need the extra spices. The noodles were actually pretty good when mixed with the soup. I underestimated it because it looked so ordinary. I tried the fried soup dumplings. I added some chili oil for extra flavor. It was a shame because they were delicious even without it. Oh well, my fault for underestimating. Thank you for the meal. Today's lunch set was Rich Dan Dan Noodles and Fried Soup Dumplings with Wings for 980 yen. Parking fee was 300 yen.

You can choose between dim sum and noodles or rice for 980 yen, known as the "Din's Lunch." Choose from dim sum options such as steamed xiao long bao, crab shumai, steamed shrimp dumplings, or grilled xiao long bao with wings. For the main dish, options include rich tantan noodles, Hong Kong shrimp wonton noodles, hot and sour soup noodles, leek ramen, Sichuan-style mapo tofu, shrimp chili rice bowl, or braised pork rice. The winged soup dumplings were recommended, so I ordered the set with winged soup dumplings and minced pork rice, which I had never tried before. First, I tried the minced pork rice. It was as I had imagined, but delicious. I ordered extra rice, so the flavor was a bit light, but that's understandable. As for the winged soup dumplings, I enjoyed trying them with gyoza sauce, miso sauce, and other condiments. The simplest way, with vinegar and soy sauce, was my favorite. I entered the restaurant on a weekday after 2 pm. There were 2 groups of 3 customers already inside, but no one else came in after me. The other customers were sitting on the terrace, so I felt relieved. I ordered the lunch set for 980 yen, which included 4 types of dim sum and a choice of 6 main dishes. With a Hot Pepper coupon, a drink was also included in the price, making it a reasonable deal. I chose the chicken wing barbecue xiaolongbao and the Hong Kong shrimp wonton noodles. The xiaolongbao was small and not too oily, with a light taste compared to other places that serve greasy and piping hot xiaolongbao. It felt more like a regular xiaolongbao with wings attached. However, the taste was still good, so I had no complaints. The wonton noodles had a light broth, which I enjoyed. The large wontons (4 in total) were satisfying in terms of portion size. I would like to revisit to try other menu items.

Visited a well-known Chinese restaurant chain for the first time. It seems like they only offer one lunch option, but you can choose your dishes. The interior of the restaurant has a pub-style atmosphere. Sat at a table and started with the chicken wings soup dumplings. Be careful, as the hot soup might splash out if you're not careful when biting into them. Next, had the Lu rou fan (large portion for free). The restaurant is non-smoking indoors (smoking allowed on the terrace). The taste is pretty close to the authentic one. The large portion might be enough even for men. Added a drink and dessert set for an extra 300 yen. Chose orange juice and had almond jelly for dessert. The total came to 1280 yen. There seemed to be more women in the restaurant. I was looking forward to lunch, but as soon as I entered, the staff were talking loudly to each other. When I asked the female staff for water during the meal, she slammed the glass down. The enjoyable time was ruined. The soup dumplings were delicious, but they were not served hot. I feel like there are many areas that need improvement.

It has a casual yet neat atmosphere, resembling a typical izakaya from the outside. For lunch, they offer a set menu where you can choose between dim sum and noodles or rice. If you go north from Sakaisuji-Honmachi, you will find this place. I avoided it at first because there was a sign outside saying smoking was allowed, but it turns out they have a terrace where you can smoke. The menu consists of items like xiaolongbao and steamed dumplings, and you can choose one dish from noodles or rice dishes. I chose the dan dan noodles and xiaolongbao. The dan dan noodles were light and had a sesame flavor, although it wasn't thick like sesame paste. It had chili oil and Sichuan peppercorns, but it wasn't spicy so it should be fine for those who don't like spicy food. The xiaolongbao came out piping hot. The noodles were thin, so I wanted to eat them quickly, but I decided to finish the xiaolongbao first to avoid the soup leaking out. It was a delicious meal!

I went to a xiaolongbao restaurant for lunch. I visited during the second half of lunchtime, so it was not crowded and I could easily find a seat. I ordered shrimp dumplings and mapo tofu rice bowl. First, they brought out a soup with seaweed in it, which was a nice touch. After a short wait, the waitress brought out the dishes. The shrimp dumplings were delicious, especially when dipped in vinegar soy sauce. The mapo tofu rice bowl had a good amount of spice, but it was more tailored towards Japanese taste, so it could have been spicier. The portion size was a bit small, probably because it's a Taiwanese-style restaurant. The restaurant was similar to Din Tai Fung, but it had its own unique charm. I would like to go back and try more xiaolongbao, although it might be a bit pricey. Overall, if you're curious, I recommend giving it a try. Thank you for the meal!

I want to eat xiaolongbao, so I came here. When I entered the shop, a unfriendly woman greeted me without even looking up and told me to disinfect from a distance. Did they reduce the lunch menu? Now there seems to be only the C set. The menu paper seems to be reused, with C set written on it. Are there no one asking about A and B sets? I'll have steamed xiaolongbao and lu rou fan. I don't want noodles because it's hot... First, the lu rou fan arrived. The meat is all minced. It's a bit disappointing... The taste is okay. It's the type with minced meat on top. The minced meat tastes like artificial egg. I'll leave it. The xiaolongbao also arrived late. It comes with shredded ginger and black vinegar. Well... it's not that great. It didn't leave much of an impression. It cost 980 yen. It seems cheaper at night.

Today's dinner was great. I went with my colleagues to a nearby restaurant. It was convenient and I enjoyed being able to drink Taiwanese beer, as I am a beer lover. The food was a bit cold but still delicious. We ordered too much and now I am stuffed! Thank you for the great meal today.

Din's, a restaurant known for its famous xiaolongbao dumplings developed by the head chef of the renowned Taiwanese restaurant "Din Tai Fung." I ordered the Din's Lunch Set A for 980 yen. With Din's Lunch Set A, you can choose your favorite dim sum and main dish. For dim sum, I chose steamed xiaolongbao instead of the usual pan-fried xiaolongbao (lol). I wanted to taste the classic first. For the main dish, I chose Eel Noodles. It came with rice and soup. First, the xiaolongbao was served with four pieces. I placed them on a spoon, added some ginger, and savored them. They were chewy and juicy! Delicious! They may not compare to the xiaolongbao I had at the original Din Tai Fung in Taipei back in February, but these xiaolongbao are pretty good too! After finishing the xiaolongbao, the Eel Noodles, rice, and soup arrived. The crispy Eel Noodles were simply delicious. They paired well with the rice. I will definitely revisit to try the pan-fried xiaolongbao next time. Thank you for the meal. Fall 2019.

We went with 6 men on Friday at 7pm. We had 5 servings each of the famous minced pork dumplings and steamed dumplings. We also had dumplings, meat dumplings, Taiwan night market fried sandals, oil-drizzled chicken, steamed chicken with ginger sauce, jellyfish cold dish, shrimp mayo, stir-fried vegetables, steamed vermicelli, Chen's TKKG for 5 people, minced pork rice, Shanghai fried noodles, shredded pork with green peppers, sesame balls, almond tofu for 3 people, and addictive cabbage for 2 people. Everyone enjoyed the food and finished it in less than an hour. We would like to visit again. The restaurant is spacious and easy to make reservations.

I entered the restaurant right at 12 o'clock. At that time, there were only a few customers. However, by around 12:30, more customers started coming in, and the restaurant quickly became almost full. There were more women than men in the restaurant. The menu included instructions on how to enjoy the delicious Xiao Long Bao. Gently lift it up, scoop it with a spoon, take a small sip of the soup, then dip it in your favorite sauce. It was recommended to prepare the sauce on a plate before the Xiao Long Bao arrives as it cools down quickly. It's best to eat it piping hot! The eagerly awaited dishes have arrived. After the company drinking party, we went to this place located on the south side of Honmachi Street. The restaurant was quite spacious and filled with office workers. There were five of us, so we were able to get a reasonably large table. We ordered the Mega Jockey drink which was a good deal, but it was really big and we had already had quite a bit to drink at the previous place, so finishing it was a bit of a challenge. The menu had a wide variety of dim sum, including shrimp dumplings and wing-tipped xiaolongbao. The xiaolongbao was piping hot and I almost burnt myself, but it was really delicious. The fact that they had wing-tipped xiaolongbao was also a nice surprise. I would like to come back here and take it easy next time, without having already been to another place.

Started early on a Saturday with steamed peanuts and edamame... while enjoying delicious soup dumplings. The serving time was reasonable, so we had a great time. Of course, the food was delicious. However, I wish there was a smoking section as the smoke from the neighboring table was bothersome.

Today we had dinner together at a popular restaurant in the neighborhood known for their soup dumplings. We sat on the terrace and started with a toast with beer. We ordered edamame as a starter, followed by soup dumplings with wings, vegetable dumplings, shrimp stir-fry, sweet and sour pork, and mouthwatering chicken. We enjoyed endless drinks and the atmosphere of the restaurant was great. The staff were friendly and the food was delicious. Thank you for the meal!
