GOTO series. At the time of writing this article, the GOTO points have already been discontinued, and the 4th meal voucher has been postponed at FamilyMart due to a lack of prepared forms. With the spread of COVID-19, perhaps it is a good timing for the end of GOTO? In the midst of this, I visited a unique GOTO lunch place called "BiMi in Ieshige". The price range is suitable for the small group campaign, and there are not many reviews, but they seem quite positive, so I decided to try it out. The restaurant was surprisingly run by one person. Initially, I thought it was only one floor, but I was led to the second floor. With the limited seating and one person running the place, it must be tough... I had reserved the ▪️Lunch Course for 2500 yen (excluding tax). Initially, it was difficult for the one person to take orders for a single person, and the drink did not arrive promptly... Well, it can't be helped when dining alone. Finally, the drink arrived. However, the course menu did not arrive. Eventually, the first dish arrived: ▪️Grilled Saury with Saikyo Miso Sauce. The presentation was beautiful, using saury fish with a sauce made from saury roe. It was a creative dish and surprisingly delicious! The grilled saury itself was tasty, and the saury roe sauce was outstanding. This sauce would go well with most grilled fish dishes. Next, after a bit of a wait, the ▪️Wagyu Beef Nikujaga Dome arrived. It was not your typical nikujaga. The crispy coating and the sweetness of the Wagyu beef combined to create a delicious dish. It was my first time seeing this dish, and it was of high quality. And to finish, the ▪️Crab Yaki Onigiri Dashi Chazuke arrived. It was also delicious, with crab resembling somen noodles inside and complementing the grilled onigiri and dashi. Lastly, as a service, a ▪️Melon Smoothie and Homemade Pudding were served. The homemade feel was great! Thank you. We had about 4 drinks in total, and the bill came to around 7500 yen. The content of the dishes was quite satisfying. Looking at the menu, it seems that the first sauté may change depending on the day, but the other two dishes are also available a la carte. The prices are not too high for dinner, and it seems suitable for regular use. However, one thing that bothered me was the repeated mention of the GOTO Eat night menu during the latter part of the meal. It was emphasized that it is definitely a deal at night, with 1000 yen per person. It's definitely a great deal for small groups in Osaka. The course is a must at night. It seemed a bit out of place to keep promoting GOTO Eat and emphasizing how affordable it is. Although the master probably meant no harm, it might be better to be a bit more cautious about that. However, the fact that only 500 points are earned for lunch and the dessert was served as a service was appreciated. The exterior of the restaurant looks like a prefab hut, but the interior is very clean and the restroom is also clean. Therefore, it is difficult to evaluate the restaurant, but the level of the food is very high, and I have high expectations for its future evolution. This time, I give it a high rating. If there are no issues with GOTO and the speed of food and drink service is more consistent, it could easily be a restaurant in the 4-point range. I look forward to visiting again in the future.
