I visited to kill time before meeting on August 2, 2019. It was hot today too. I enjoyed a drink while people watching at an outdoor table. This place is a typical casual pub. New Sapporo station is a place I used to frequent during my student days. There are still some nostalgic spots, but it has changed quite a bit. Now, time for beer and ham cutlet. The portion is too big. What should I eat next? I ended up ordering oysters too. It feels nice to be dining outdoors. Next time, I'll try the yakiniku outside. Eating outside is the best in summer. Thank you for the meal!

It was the second shop. The lively atmosphere was pleasant! The female staff in the hall were very attentive. The dishes were very generous in portion size, the zangi was large, and I couldn't finish it all, so I took it home. It was a restaurant I would like to visit again. ( ´ー`)

Famous for their karaage, Parent and Child Punch finally visited. I'm not a fan of highball drinks, but I was able to easily enjoy their Jin Highball here. The deep-fried Camembert cheese has a nice salty flavor and a crispy texture, very delicious. The simmered motsu (offal) is only 100 yen, which is incredibly cheap. The daikon radish is well-flavored and the green onions add a nice touch. The motsu is bite-sized and just right as an appetizer. The salted cabbage with sauce is a bit disappointing as it's just cabbage with sauce on top. And the bomb karaage is huge, too big. It's coated with curry or shichimi flavor on the surface. It comes with ketchup and mustard on the side for flavor variation. The karaage is crispy and juicy, full of deliciousness. Wrapping it in the cabbage and dipping it in ketchup is delicious. They apparently sell karaage separately for 100 yen each in the restaurant? It makes sense why there's always a line of students from Toyo University. I'm very satisfied. Thank you for the meal.

Today's fourth stop! All-you-can-drink beer with appetizers like simmered pork knuckles, fried salmon sashimi, and fried chicken. The food was delicious and had a nice punch to it. I couldn't finish everything, but the staff kindly offered to pack it up for me for just 10 yen. I took them up on their offer and brought the leftovers home.

The store has a retro Showa era vibe, with cute waitresses, mascot gentlemen, and a quirky manager welcoming you. The food is delicious, including non-alcoholic cocktails. It's a fun and enjoyable retro izakaya with a variety of dishes like 100 yen motsu stew and birthday chicken wings. I recommend giving it a try!

In August 2018, I went to a popular izakaya known for its large Zangi with my friends in Odori after drinking. We left before the last train and headed to Shinsatsu for the fourth round. We found a place open until 1 am and used a Hot Pepper coupon for a 120-minute all-you-can-drink deal with beer included for 980 yen (excluding tax). The appetizer plate for 540 yen had enough for four people. The total bill came to 2160 yen. The Zangi was huge and tasty, but the meat was a bit too bold for my taste. The Motsu stew for 108 yen was amazing. The place seemed more geared towards young people, with young female groups and good-looking male staff. It felt a bit too young for us, but overall it was a good experience.

I made a reservation for my birthday celebration and visited the restaurant for the first time. I wanted to order the famous menu item "Genkotsu Zangi" to eat a lot of chicken wings, but unfortunately it was sold out. I saw the Genkotsu Zangi being served at another table and I thought I would like to try it next time.

I received a free chicken wing tip service, equal to my age, on my birthday month (*≧∀≦*). It was perfectly seasoned and delicious. The restaurant seemed to be popular as customers kept coming in one after another.

Feeling tired on a Thursday, I decided to have a drink. I went to a nearby izakaya that had caught my eye. It was quite cold outside, but when I entered the restaurant near the nearest station, the heating was working well and the room temperature made me a little sleepy. I was happy. I ordered a course that included all-you-can-drink and all-you-can-eat. The beer arrived quickly and I made a toast. The food was served promptly and it was decent, suitable for drinking. I understood why this place is always crowded. However, when I tried to order one last round, the staff informed me that the all-you-can-drink time had ended 10 minutes ago. I had completely missed the announcement. I had a rough idea of the time, but I wish they had at least given a last call for orders. If it had been busy, I would understand, but there were few customers and the staff had time to chat. Well, I also should have been more aware, but in my experience with all-you-can-drink, I have always been reminded of the last call at every other place I've been to.

I have visited this restaurant a few times to receive birthday presents of chicken wings with my family. It's a delicious izakaya, but the lighting inside is a bit dim.
