Visited Osaka for some errands and ended up in Namba. Decided to try the famous 【Kushikatsu Daruma Dotombori Store】. Ordered the Dotombori Set for ¥1400 excluding tax and a Highball for ¥420 excluding tax. Despite the evening hour, the restaurant was full. Luckily, they managed to seat me quickly. It seemed like there were more locals than tourists. I wanted to eat quickly rather than think too much, so I opted for the recommended assorted kushikatsu set instead of individual items. The Dotombori Set included original kushikatsu, natural shrimp, mochi, asparagus, quail egg, pork cutlet, tsukune, wiener, cheese fish cake, a total of 9 skewers, plus a speed menu combination. Started with the Doteyaki as an appetizer, which was already quite generous in portion and had a delicious authentic flavor. Honestly, there was too much meat. The taste and quantity of the menu were excellent. The Highball was strong, making it a good deal. It was enjoyable to sip slowly as the ice melted. The assorted kushikatsu arrived in about 7 minutes, with a visually appealing presentation of 9 skewers. I was satisfied with the variety that came out compared to ordering individual items. While the rule was no double-dipping, I liked the sauce that was easy to eat by pouring it on the plate. The light batter made the kushikatsu crispy, fluffy, and easy to eat. Each skewer was hot and delicious. I enjoyed eating and sipping my Highball. It's not just about the price, but also about the taste. People in Osaka are quite particular about these things. It had been a while since I last tried kushikatsu at a famous Osaka restaurant, and I never know when I'll be able to come back again after visiting Dotombori. It was a good memory, especially with a nice buzz. #ThankYouForTheMeal #Daruma #KushikatsuDaruma #Kushikatsu #Harachi #Foodie #OsakaSpecialty #OsakaGourmet #OsakaIzakaya #OsakaJapaneseCuisine #OsakaFoodie #Foodstagram #WantToConnectWithFoodies #FoodPorn #Delicious #FoodBlogger #FoodieGram #InstaFood #Nanba

It was Friday evening, so there was a line outside the restaurant. However, the wait wasn't long, and we were seated quickly even though the restaurant was full. The service was fast, and the food was satisfying as expected from a famous restaurant! *The sauce was the pour-over type, not the dipping type.

- The sushi pieces are larger and cheaper compared to other restaurants in Osaka
- The taste is delicious!!
- Despite being crowded, the service is fast
- Beer is served in chilled cups
- If you want to eat kushikatsu in Osaka, Daruma is the way to go!!
*During the lunch hours of the Obon period, we waited in line for about 20-30 minutes.

I visited a restaurant for kushiage in Namba after going to Koshien for high school baseball cheering. I originally planned to go to Shinsekai, but due to the scorching heat, hunger, and thirst, I got off at Namba instead. It had been 5 years since I last had kushiage in Osaka, as there aren't many good shops in the Kanto region. It was delicious. The surprising thing was the time it took to serve. When you order with a QR code, it comes out in about 5 minutes! Amazing! I tried various items, but personally, I recommend the classic kushiage items like Vienna sausages, pickled ginger, lotus root, beef, and pork.

I lined up before the opening and was able to enter right away. I ordered my favorite items such as pickled ginger and shrimp. Everything was crispy and not greasy, so delicious. It felt light and I was able to eat more than I expected. Ordering is done through a mobile system. They have a wide variety of drinks which is nice.

When in Osaka, you have to try kushikatsu! I was surprised to realize it had been 10 years since my last visit. The bright and cool interior with tablets for ordering gave a modern impression. The taste was still amazing as ever. The Man'nenji red pepper was delicious.

I first tried Daruma's kushikatsu in Osaka and was amazed by how different it was from Tokyo's kushikatsu, so I came back again. The crispy kushikatsu was a dream come true! The perfectly oval shape, like a Frankfurt, is truly a work of art. I ordered pork belly x2 (a repeat!), bonjiri, shiitake mushroom, yam, rice cake, and a lemon sour. The pork belly was so delicious that I had to order it again! The junky flavor is irresistible! I know I'll miss eating this kushikatsu for a while. Thank you for the meal!

I arrived around 3 pm and was able to enter without waiting. The set menu may be a good deal, but if you know what you want to eat, you can order each item separately! The cabbage that used to be free before now costs 100 yen. The beef tendon was also soft and delicious.

I went to Daruma, a famous kushikatsu restaurant in Osaka, located near the lined up shops in Dotonbori! Every time I come to Osaka, I always plan to visit this place, but the long lines always made me give up. Finally, I was able to go! The freshly made kushikatsu was amazing! The red pickled ginger, shrimp, vegetables, and smelt were all incredibly delicious.

I visited this restaurant during my trip to Osaka. I was with my 1-year-old child and they provided a small bowl and spoon/fork for the child. The onigiri, ramen, and edamame were easy for my child to eat. Cabbage is charged separately, and the sauce is self-serve. I was nervous about the line, but we were seated in about 15 minutes because the turnover was quick. There's a guy outside the shop making castella who will give you an idea of the wait time.

I usually avoid fried foods, but since I came all the way to Osaka, I decided to try some kushikatsu. I visited Kushikatsu Daruma, a place I've always wanted to try but never had the chance to due to long lines. Luckily, I only had to wait about 10 minutes this time. The beer server and glasses were well-maintained, and I enjoyed delicious beer along with the kushikatsu. The kushikatsu was served quickly and I was very satisfied with my meal.

It had been a long time since I last visited Daruma-san. I always imagined it to be crowded, but on a weekday at an early hour, there was no line at all, and I got in right away. However, the inside of the restaurant was bustling. The menu was accessed through a QR code for online ordering, which was a bit of a hassle, but convenient for the many foreigners there. I was really hungry, so I ordered a lot at once. The food came out quickly, making it hard to keep up with the pace, and the kushikatsu ended up getting cold. I ordered kushikatsu, sirloin, domestic black wagyu beef, pork, chicken skin, quail, wiener sausage, shrimp, asparagus, onion, and ate about 10 pieces by myself. I also had kimchi, doteyaki, and chicken soup noodles. It was delicious, but I ended up with indigestion later that night. It cost around 8,000 yen. It was cheap, but I felt that eating too eagerly was not ideal for me that day. Going to a place like this in Osaka once in a while is a good idea!

The crispy and slightly sweet batter is addictive! The vegetable skewers are delicious with the crunchy texture of the vegetables inside the batter. The meat is also top-notch (lol). My favorite is the shrimp. All-you-can-eat cabbage is a must at a fried food place. There is always a long line, but this time we were seated right away. Whenever I go to Osaka, I always end up at Daruma! I usually go for day drinking, but this time I tried it for dinner. I will definitely go again!

This is my first visit. Orders are placed through a QR code system using a smartphone. There are various options such as individual items and sets, and I ordered a variety of dishes. The food was delicious and crispy, and I was able to eat without getting heartburn. The dishes were brought quickly and I could eat continuously. I want to go again.

I ordered a variety of sets. The classic meats were delicious, but the scallops and oysters were also very tasty. The rice cakes and cheeses were surprisingly light and easy to eat. The best part was that the food didn't feel heavy on the stomach, which greatly contributed to the deliciousness and ease of eating.

I arrived at Kushi Katsu Daruma around 12:30 on a holiday and waited for about 20 minutes before entering! I always thought kushi katsu would be heavy, but the kushi katsu at Kushi Katsu Daruma was so delicious that I felt like I could eat as many skewers as I wanted! The mozzarella, sweet potato, soft-boiled egg, etc. were all delicious.

I stayed at Redi-Kure at the end of last year for one night, and before catching the night bus, I wanted to have a dinner that felt like Osaka, so I chose kushikatsu. I ate a lot so that I wouldn't get hungry before breakfast time! It's a shame that due to the influence of COVID-19, I couldn't have the experience of dipping in the sauce... but everything was delicious. Thank you for the meal!

This restaurant is always packed with people... I wonder how much money they make, haha. It seems to be very famous in the kushikatsu industry. It was my first visit. I was surprised by how the food is brought to you on a conveyor belt like in a sushi restaurant. The taste is unique with the crispy kushikatsu coating. It's so delicious, I could eat it all day. However, compared to Kushikatsu Tanaka, the non-fried items on the menu are a bit lacking. Even the initial cabbage serving was a bit disappointing in quality. Kushikatsu Tanaka's cabbage is so crunchy... But the crispy coating is truly one of a kind. Thank you for the meal. I would definitely like to taste it again someday!

Order: 2 skewers of pork cutlet, 1 coarse ground wiener, 1 mozzarella cheese, 1 asparagus, and 1 oyster. The skewers were fried haphazardly. It's okay for the price, but not really worth a revisit, maybe only for those visiting Osaka for the first time.

I visited the restaurant on Saturday afternoon. I was prepared to wait in line, and indeed there was a line. However, the turnover at the restaurant was good, so I didn't have to wait too long to get in. The staff's atmosphere was good. Orders are made by scanning a QR code with a smartphone. This time, I ordered the Dotombori Set, and for the speed menu, I added Oden for an extra 100 yen. My friend from out of town was impressed by the taste. It's a shame that in these times, the sauce is now for pouring rather than dipping, but it can't be helped. I also ordered cheese as an additional topping.

Doteni was delicious! It had a sweet miso base and I want to eat it again! The skewers were okay, with a crispy bread crumb coating and sauce that you squeeze from a tube bottle. You can order with your phone, and they have set options which are easy to order. Just be careful because the floor is slippery!
