The entrance was a bit hard to find, and there were stairs up to the second floor. The sushi came out at a good pace, which was nice. The sushi and chawanmushi were delicious! The lunch course had great value for money, it was amazing!

This is a sushi restaurant with only a counter. In the evening, you can choose from two courses. The content of the sushi itself remains the same, but the appetizers before the sushi and the atmosphere may change. I asked for the sushi rice to be lightly seasoned. The tuna from Shiogama was fatty and delicious. The gizzard shad was not too vinegary, allowing the natural flavor of the fish to shine. The red snapper was a rare white snapper, with firm and flavorful flesh. The restaurant has a small number of seats, but the interior is bright and welcoming.

I visited a hidden sushi restaurant in a miscellaneous building in America-mura, where the owner trained in traditional Edomae sushi at places like The Ritz-Carlton Osaka. The restaurant has a small L-shaped counter with 9 seats, focusing on the harmony between delicious sushi and sake. I had a hot water mixed with one grain of barley shochu from Nishi Shuzo in Kagoshima Prefecture. The meal started with a watercress appetizer. Then, I enjoyed fresh squid, rich-tasting cutlassfish, shiny jack mackerel, and rare fatty bonito. I also had Shirasu shrimp from Toyama Bay, blowfish, flounder, and a steamed egg custard with cod milt. The meal ended with miso soup. The experience was truly delightful and brought back memories of past sushi meals.

Mっる: "I want to eat sushi." Me: "Sure! (。・ω・。)ノ" And so, on this day, we visited Keyaki for a celebration with Mっる. I won't reveal what we were celebrating, so if you want to know, please DM me directly. I had some points on a certain site, so I used them to make a reservation for a selected sushi course with 2 drinks included for 9,500 yen. Mっる didn't want any appetizers, so I chose a course with more nigiri. The restaurant had a hidden gem vibe, but since I know Amerikamura well, we arrived with ease. Upon entering, the chef greeted us by himself. We toasted with a beer and enjoyed the course. Here's what we had: (Appetizer) - Seasonal vegetable ohitashi: A gentle and flavorful dish with a delicious broth. Mっる enjoyed it so much that I ended up giving them mine as well. (Nigiri) - Swordtip squid, fugu, Nagasaki cuttlefish, Toyama white shrimp: The swordtip squid was refreshing with salt and lemon. The fugu, cuttlefish, and white shrimp were all incredibly delicious. Mっる, who usually doesn't like shrimp, even enjoyed the white shrimp. (Warm dish) - Seasonal chawanmushi with crab: A rich and flavorful chawanmushi with plenty of broth. Mっる struggled with the video of opening the lid but enjoyed the dish nonetheless. (Nigiri) - Striped jack, Ishigaki sea bream, Kawahagi liver, tuna toro, ikura & uni, simmered anago: Each nigiri was delicious, with the Kawahagi liver being a standout for Mっる. We ended the meal with simmered anago. - Tekka maki, miso soup: We also had a tuna roll and miso soup, which were both delicious. (Additional order) - Ikura, flounder: We added some ikura and flounder to our meal, both of which were fantastic. Overall, we had a great time at the restaurant. We had the place to ourselves, and the chef took care of all our drinks. We had a pleasant conversation and enjoyed our time there. It was a delightful experience. Thank you for the meal!

It's been a while since my last post! On this day, I went to a sushi restaurant with a friend in between studying sessions. Each piece was carefully prepared and delicious. I used to not like sea urchin, but I tried it. However, I couldn't overcome my dislike for it. I love ikura, so I had seconds without sea urchin. My recommendation is the fatty tuna and tekka maki. The fatty tuna had a rich flavor and was delicious. The tekka maki was so tasty that I even had my friend's portion! Definitely give it a try, everyone! Thank you for the meal!ヽ(´▽`)/​

A small and cozy restaurant with only 9 counter seats, perfect for lunch. Due to the impact of the pandemic, we had the place to ourselves that day. The chef engaged in conversation with us and it was enjoyable. The sushi was delicious and they had a variety of rare items. We chose the Lunch Omakase course for ¥5,600 per person, paired with 4 glasses of sake, totaling ¥12,000 for two people. We would love to come back again.

I made a reservation for 20:30 and visited the sushi restaurant. They only have counter seats. It's a hidden gem kind of sushi place. There were 3 customers before me and no customers after me. Payment can be made with cash or card. I had the keyaki course for ¥11,500, which included dishes like boiled watercress, Nagasaki kue, salt and plum soy sauce, kawahagi, grilled bonito, grilled kinmedai, walnut salad, cheese, swordtip squid, blowfish, fatty tuna, kohada, Toyama white shrimp, striped jack, sea urchin, conger eel, and seaweed miso soup. I ordered 2 drinks, which were warm tea. I also added one more squid, but it tasted different from the one I had at the beginning. I forgot to take a picture.

[November 2020 Osaka solo dining] During my business trip to Osaka, the situation with the number of new COVID-19 cases seems to have worsened since the declaration of a state of emergency. However, there are still some matters that require face-to-face discussions, so I decided to complete the minimum amount of work in a one-night, two-day trip. Due to the current situation, there was no post-meeting socializing, so I ended up having dinner alone in my hotel. I made a reservation for a sushi restaurant through a certain booking site, taking advantage of the GOTO EAT campaign. The restaurant was located on the second floor of a building in a corner of America-mura and was quietly operating. I reserved a course for 11,000 yen, which included 7 appetizers and 8 pieces of sushi. I thought it might not be enough, and indeed it wasn't. I ended up adding an extra negitoro roll. Here is the menu of the 11,000 yen omakase course I ordered in November 2020: [Appetizers] - Blanched water eggplant - Nagasaki cutlassfish with plum soy sauce and salt - Bonito tataki with fatty meat - Kawahagi liver roll - Salt-grilled golden eye snapper, red konjac (from Shiga), walnuts - Whale bacon - Matsutake mushroom chawanmushi (savory egg custard) [Sushi] - Squid with salt - Pufferfish with ponzu sauce - Sea bream from Akashi - Fatty tuna - White shrimp from Toyama with salt - Striped jack - Salmon roe and sea urchin - Eel - Negitoro roll (additional) - Miso soup [Drinks] - Kirin Lager small bottle - Shinomine Junmai - Sanchimori Junmai Daiginjo - Saku, Masanochi, Junmai Ginjo - Buyu, Junmai There were various types of sake available, and I had about 100ml of sake as part of the omakase course, but the prices were unknown. The total bill came to 16,000 yen per person. Location: From Yotsubashi-suji street, head south towards Namba from the Yotsubashi intersection. Turn left at the second intersection, pass under the Hanshin Expressway, then turn right (south) at the second corner (T-junction), and the restaurant is on the left on the second floor of the building.

There is a stylish shop on the 2nd floor of a fashionable building. It is a hidden gem of a shop. The interior is small and clean, and we ordered the carefully selected sushi course with 13 items for 8000 yen. We also ordered an additional item on the side and some assorted sushi. The sushi was made with the owner's carefully chosen ingredients and was delicious. The rice was just the way I like it. The freshness of the ingredients was evident and everything was delicious. The owner seemed kind and friendly. This shop mainly offers omakase courses and does not have other dishes or a la carte options. I was satisfied with the quality of the food for the price. It's completely different from other restaurants (laughs). I definitely want to visit again.

I made a reservation and visited the restaurant for dinner on a weekday. Despite being located right in the middle of America-mura, once you enter the restaurant, it feels like a different world. It's a sushi restaurant with a nice atmosphere and only 9 seats at the counter. We were promptly seated upon arrival. There were no typical sushi display cases or condiments like soy sauce or wasabi on the counter. The menu consisted only of course meals. We ordered the most popular "Keyaki" course. The meal included fresh raw yuba, seasonal sashimi of flounder, tuna, and sweet shrimp, grilled dishes, anago, and hotaruika chawanmushi, followed by 8 pieces of nigiri sushi. I love raw yuba, and it was deliciously creamy. The sashimi was all natural and very tasty. The grilled anago was also well-prepared. The hotaruika was a seasonal treat. The chawanmushi was flavorful and delicious. The nigiri sushi had each piece flavored, so we didn't need to add soy sauce, which was a bit different but allowed us to taste the natural flavors of the ingredients. We were served a sake from Mie called "Saku," which was delicious. The young chef was friendly and we enjoyed chatting with him across the counter. The restaurant was very clean and had a cozy, hidden gem atmosphere. It was a wonderful dining experience, and I would love to visit again if I have the chance.

Sushi Keyaki in Shinsaibashi, America-mura has been open for a solid 5 years, but it seems like not many people know about it. They offer two courses, one for 3500 yen and another for 8000 yen. I opted for the 8000 yen course which included 12 pieces of nigiri and other dishes. The sushi rice was good, not too firm. The highlights were the squid, sea bream with plum, white shrimp, and horse mackerel. The fatty tuna was also delicious. The chef may seem quiet and intimidating at first, but he turned out to be very friendly and engaging. Overall, it was a satisfying meal!

After a long time, I went to Sushi Keyaki (^o^) I've been busy lately and haven't been able to go out to eat much, so I made time to go there. The atmosphere is great, with a friendly owner! It's really nice (((o(*゚▽゚*)o))) Today, I enjoyed the Keyaki course! Not just sushi, but also sashimi, grilled dishes, appetizers, and chawanmushi, I was completely satisfied (^o^) I forgot about work and enjoyed myself slowly... It was the best, the best, the best (((o(*゚▽゚*)o))) Here's a haiku: Enjoying sushi after a long time, I can do my best! Good job!! When can I go again next time? (^O^)/

Since moving to Osaka, I have only had counter sushi once, and I'm reaching my limit (lol). So, I decided to visit Keyaki in Shinsaibashi❗ To cut to the chase, I can't wait to go again and the restaurant has a hidden gem vibe, making it perfect for a secret date. I had a 12-piece course with Sumika, Karei, Koji Shima Aji, Hata, purple sea urchin, and ikura. I can't remember the rest (lol). As someone who loves white fish, this was a great place for me❗ The owner also chatted with us about various things, making it a very comfortable experience. Since it was my first time, I refrained from taking photos. Sorry for not being helpful⤵️ The location is a bit hard to find, so I recommend doing some research before a date ===========
