Once a month, I stay at a hotel near Fukushima and wander around looking for shops. There are plenty of shops, but luckily some are open from 4 pm. I entered before 5 pm and found that beer and highballs were on sale at a great price! The sashimi platter was fresh, the bonito tataki was good, the white fish with plum tempura was tasty, the clam steamed in sake was delicious, the squid tempura was crispy, and there was a red paste dish from a certain region. The mentaiko pizza had a thin crust and was delicious as a snack. Everything was very cheap, but there were no complaints. The staff was friendly, and I definitely want to go back. We drank and ate for just under 6,000 yen for two people.

The sashimi, various sushi, red miso soup, grilled mackerel with salt, and seafood yakisoba were delicious. The herring had a rich flavor, and both the sushi and grilled mackerel were consistently good. Even though it was only the second stop, I ate and drank too much. These dishes made me do so. Considering revisiting.

The children were delighted with the table-top grilled hamayaki. The prices are cheap, but it feels like a cheap izakaya. It's really appreciated to have this price with three adults who drink alcohol and three children who eat a lot!

The restaurant is conveniently located near the station with a good entrance. There are many counter seats, table seats are divided into private rooms, and there is also a raised tatami seating area. There are plenty of a la carte menu options, and the sashimi is fresh. The cheese toro yaki was delicious. They also have a good selection of alcohol. I would like to visit again.

Until 7:00 pm, beer was very cheap, so I thought it was a fish-focused restaurant, but it turned out to be a normal izakaya. Tuna seems to be the main dish. They have self-grill options, but I prefer to have them grilled for me. I ordered seafood pancake, grilled squid, and seared tuna cheek. All of them were good value for money. The seafood pancake and grilled squid were great as snacks with drinks! The seared tuna cheek was incredibly tender and flavorful, probably the best dish. The portion of tuna cheek was twice the expected size, which was nice. They have a touch panel for ordering, so it's easy to use for individuals or groups.

It is located about a 2-minute walk south from JR Fukushima Station on the Osaka Loop Line, in a slightly wider alley. I ordered the "Salmon and Salmon Roe Rice Bowl." Since they were out of ikura, they asked if tobiko could be used as a substitute before placing the order. - Food and Taste: 3.0 The "Salmon and Salmon Roe Rice Bowl" comes with miso soup and pickles. The salmon was thinly sliced into 6 small pieces. The freshness was average. There was a small amount of rice, which balanced the dish, but it lacked volume. The rice was covered halfway with tobiko, and the rest was accompanied by pickled ginger, shiso leaves, and chopped seaweed. It wasn't bad, but as a salmon lover, I felt a bit unsatisfied. - Service: 3.1 The service was average. Upon entering, they greeted us with a lively "Welcome, how many in your party!" and drumming sounds. This is typical of an izakaya. Unfortunately, they do not offer extra rice for rice bowls. However, for set meals, you can get extra rice. - Atmosphere: 3.1 The interior had the typical atmosphere of a seafood izakaya. There was a tank (or live fish basket) near the entrance. The counter seats were spacious, which was comfortable. The background music was Western music. There were more than 7 customers when I arrived and about 3 after. It seemed popular among office workers due to its location and time. - Cost Performance: 2.8 The "Salmon and Salmon Roe Rice Bowl" was priced at 968 yen. It felt overpriced considering the small amount of salmon, limited rice portion, and lack of side dishes. I would expect it to be around 700 yen. - Drinks: Not specified Overall, I may have set my expectations too high for a seafood izakaya.

A shop located a short walk from Fukushima Station. Many places tend to be empty after 2 PM for lunch, but fortunately, this place serves lunch until 3 PM. They offer three set meals, with this one including fried chicken and sashimi as the main dishes. I'm trying to cut down on carbs, so I had a small portion of rice, but I still feel bad for leaving so much food. The fried chicken comes in four large pieces, served with daikon salad and miso soup, all for 580 yen (excluding tax), making it a very reasonable and satisfying lunch. Looking forward to exploring more lunch spots in Fukushima.

Short-term battle until 8:00 pm. This doesn't concern me as I can't drink alcohol, but anyway, the staff were energetic, the horse mackerel (taste) was good, and the prices were good. If you don't have any particular preferences, this is a highly recommended restaurant.
