I visited a popular sushi restaurant at Tenkacha-ya for the second time in my life. The menu for the day included winter melon simmered dish (tsukidashi), shirako ponzu, seared sawara, egg and carrot pickles (complimentary), squid with sea urchin, kawahagi liver topping, tai?, medium fatty tuna, sweet shrimp?, simmered conger eel, horse mackerel and onion vinegar dish, salmon roe, kawahagi and raw conger eel sashimi, squid sashimi with sea urchin, hamachi belly, salted conger eel, toro hagashi, grilled nodoguro dashi, nodoguro, marinated tuna, young burdock and hairtail fish grilled with vinegar, and negitoro roll. The bill came to around 7,000 yen per person. The food was not only delicious but the service was amazing. The head chef called customers by their reservation names and engaged in conversation, which I found impressive. The staff were all smiles and very attentive, and I could see why the restaurant is so popular. Although the food took quite a while to be served after ordering, the lovely atmosphere made up for it. I have no complaints at all. I entered the restaurant at 5:00 PM and left before 9:00 PM, spending a total of 4 hours in a sushi restaurant, which is quite rare. The most delicious dish was the raw conger eel sashimi! It was my first time trying raw conger eel, and it was boneless, without any unpleasant taste, and full of umami flavor as I chewed. It was really delicious. If you're looking for a reasonably priced, delicious sushi restaurant with great service, I highly recommend Koshu-ya at Tenkacha-ya. If you have some time to spare, definitely give it a try!

I want to eat sushi until I'm full of happiness ♡♡♡ When I called the main store, they said they are currently serving standing sushi. The location is after passing through Shop Minami and crossing the street, the shop is located on the other side. They start around 5 pm, which is convenient. The shop operates with only the head chef, and the interior can accommodate about 5 people. I stopped by after work and was the first in line. I started with a small bottle of beer and ordered two omakase nigiri sets for 1,000 yen each. The toppings included: sweet shrimp, marinated tuna from Miyagi Prefecture, ark shell, cutlassfish, white fish, tuna from Katsuura, horse mackerel, conger eel, and scallop. Mmm, so happy (๑˃̵ᴗ˂̵). Everything was delicious ♡ Now, for some more orders! Squid tentacles, raw squid, ark shell, sayori (halfbeak), and tekka maki! I really enjoyed eating sushi until I was full of happiness ♡ Especially delicious were the sweet shrimp, marinated tuna, ark shell, and raw squid. I thought about asking for some soup, but they seemed busy and I couldn't. Even the Nishinari Madam who stopped her bicycle to buy inari sushi and rolled sushi for takeout agreed! This place is truly a popular spot.

I walked around Osaka city after a long time, but wherever I went, it was crowded with people, creating a very dense situation. I tried changing locations a few times, but it was still the same. And the temperature was high and hot. I got tired after a few hours and ended up leaving. On my way back, I bought takeout sushi from a place in Tennoji called "Koshu-ya," which specializes in takeout sushi. I wanted to visit the highly praised "Koshu-ya main store," but I have not been able to do so yet. There is another shop across the street from this takeout specialty store, which seems to be run by someone who used to work at Koshu-ya. When I visited that shop in the past, it was only open at night, but now they also serve lunch. I passed by the shop and saw the lunch menu, but I forgot to take a picture, so I don't remember the prices. Anyway, I was tired, so I decided to buy one of each item displayed at the storefront: Anago sushi roll for ¥1180, Battera for ¥540, Inari sushi for ¥430, and Hosomaki rolls for ¥430, totaling ¥2580. The Anago sushi roll was so delicious that I regretted not buying it before. It was simmered in a sauce that brought out the flavor of the Anago, and it melted in my mouth. The Battera was undoubtedly delicious, especially with the Sansho pepper seeds that came with it. Unfortunately, they didn't have my usual Tai sushi, so I only bought Battera this time. The Inari sushi had a traditional homemade taste, with a thick fried tofu pouch seasoned with a subtle sweetness and filled with burdock, carrot, sesame, and shiitake. It was full of ingredients and had a delicious taste that was addictive. The Hosomaki this time was "Shinko maki & Myoga maki." The balance of ingredients in the rolls was exquisite. The "Shinko maki" had shiso leaves, bonito flakes, sesame seeds, and pickled radish, while the "Myoga maki" had myoga ginger, shiso leaves, and sesame seeds. They were both incredibly delicious. The content of the rolls may vary depending on the season. Even though they didn't have any rolled sushi that day, they are also delicious. Recently, MyRebi has been using takeout sushi from chain conveyor belt sushi restaurants, which looks delicious, but for me, the takeout sushi from Koshu-ya in Tennoji is the number one in terms of taste. Even without fresh seafood, the taste is satisfying enough. The prices are reasonable, and it's a wonderful shop.

The popular sushi restaurant at Tenkacha-ya, I bought anago sushi, battera (sea bream), and inari. I hesitated between choosing mackerel and sea bream, but I chose the light sea bream. The anago was soft and delicious! The battera was light and tasty, and the inari had a deliciously sweet fried taste. I would like to visit this restaurant again when I am nearby. Thank you for the meal. Stay home, takeout.

Last time, I had sushi from the shop across the street and it was delicious, so I bought some as a souvenir for my family. This time, I also bought some sushi along with donuts when I transferred trains at Tennocha-ya Station. The "Inari Sushi" was amazing with its thick fried tofu, giving it a gentle sweetness while preserving the tofu flavor. The rice was filled with burdock, carrots, sesame seeds, and shiitake mushrooms, which I really liked. My family loved it too. The "Inari Sushi" was the last one left, so I only bought 5 pieces, but I want to buy more next time. I also bought the "Horse Mackerel Sushi" this time, which was delicious. My family loved the "Red Snapper Sushi" last time, so I plan to buy both next time. The "Conger Eel Sushi" also looks tempting, but I always think the conger eel sushi I eat at home is the best, so I don't feel the need to try it elsewhere. Overall, the take-out sushi from Etchu-ya was a big hit with my family and it's my number one choice for take-out sushi. I hope to visit the main store where MyRebi has visited and enjoy a leisurely meal there someday. Thank you for the delicious meal.

I read MyRebi's review and found out that you can only eat standing sushi once a month, which I was really looking forward to, but somehow I completely forgot about it. The restaurant has now become a take-out only shop. I bought a red snapper tempura for my daughter who loves tempura for ¥540-1 piece. Since I had come all the way to Tennocha on the weekend after work, I decided to eat some sushi at Koshukeya, which is diagonally across the street from Koshukeya (take-out only shop), and then went home. The main store seems to be different from there, and I have read many reviews by MyRebi. The tempura I took out this time was eaten by my children late at night and they said it was quite delicious. I'm glad. I'll buy it again.

I finally stopped by here after wanting to visit for a while. I ordered the Chirashi sushi for 1050 yen, which had shrimp, scallops, octopus, and other toppings. The flavors were a bit strong, but it was delicious. The nigiri, battera, and rolled sushi all looked delicious too. I accidentally wrote this review for the wrong restaurant, so here is the corrected repost.

Now, let's keep going~( ̄ー ̄)v The third stop is a sushi restaurant♪ This is the famous Koshinoya's third branch in the gacha community! Actually, when I asked the staff, it seems like the second branch has closed down, so this one has been promoted to the second branch! (laughs) It was a little after 9:30, so the restaurant was empty. But soon after, a pair of men came in (^-^) I decided to skip beer and went for sake instead! I ordered the recommended 5-piece nigiri set, which included sea urchin gunkan, shrimp, medium fatty tuna, kohada, and horse mackerel. Each nigiri was already seasoned by the chef, so there was no soy sauce on the table. This 5-piece set for 1000 yen was truly a great deal! I also added a hagfish nigiri to my order. Since I hadn't tried hagfish this year, it was my first time enjoying it♡ The bones were perfectly removed, and it was delicious (^_-)-☆ I wanted to try simmered conger eel and blackthroat seaperch, but unfortunately, they were already sold out by the time I arrived. Despite that, this restaurant is conveniently located near the station, so I plan to come back earlier next time to try more dishes! Thank you for the meal m(_ _)m

I went to Tenka Chaya. Tenka Chaya is quite an attractive town for me. It is a transportation hub where the Sakaisuji Line of the subway and the main line and Koya Line of the Nankai Electric Railway intersect, and with just one more station to Hagi no Chaya, it has a somewhat deep atmosphere. There are many standing bars, and I want to explore them in the future. You can get take-out sushi from daytime to evening, and standing sushi from evening onwards. However, standing sushi is only available once a month, so I had almost given up, but I happened to enter when I passed by. (I heard that it's open quite often recently?) The place is under the elevated structure of Tenka Chaya Station. There is no parking lot. The inside of the restaurant has standing space for about three people. First, I ordered a medium bottle for 450 yen. Then, I ordered the recommended 5-piece sushi set for 1000 yen. First, it was Chutoro and Hirame, I think? High-quality sushi came out, and I was so nervous that I forgot to hold back on the toppings. Next was Umazurahagi liver, Nodoguro. A complimentary tamago was served. I also had pickled ginger, and the last was simmered anago. The rice was small, and when you eat it, it melts in your mouth. All the toppings were excellent. The fish was thick, but it disappeared in your mouth smoothly. I felt like I was eating at a high-end sushi restaurant. All the sushi was well-made. The 5-piece set for 1000 yen is a good deal and quite satisfying. I ordered Tekkamaki for 400 yen on my way out. The seaweed was great! It was crispy and stuck to the upper palate. You have to eat it right away to avoid it getting moist. This was also really good. It was all under 2000 yen, but I had a wonderful sushi experience. I would like to go again if the timing is right.

On September 20, 2016, Typhoon No. 16 brought heavy rain to Osaka but quickly passed through Wakayama, relieving the area of strong winds and reducing its strength. After finishing work early on Tuesday, I decided to have a drink and some solo barbecue near the train station for the third week in a row. However, due to the typhoon, the barbecue restaurant I was aiming for was closed. I used the Tabelog app to find a standing sushi restaurant called "Etchuya," located under the Nankai Electric Railway tracks, just 30 seconds walk from the station. This restaurant is the third branch of the Etchuya chain, specializing in take-out sushi during the day. Initially, I thought about going to the clean-looking second branch across the street, but since there were no customers inside, I decided to enter this one instead. The small restaurant only had a counter, and with just four people, it would be considered full. The previous customer left just as I entered, leaving me alone with the slightly younger chef for almost an hour. I had the following items, all with tax included and clear pricing: - Asahi Super Dry beer (medium bottle) for 450 yen - Barley shochu on the rocks (Tatsunoko Sake Brewery, Kagoshima) for 400 yen - Whale meat and eggplant stew for 500 yen - Nigiri sushi: Izumi red clam, sweet shrimp with kelp, autumn pike conger eel, scallop soy-marinated, squid, conger eel, octopus, and adda horse mackerel - Green onion and fatty tuna roll for 800 yen I started with a bottle of beer and a toast. The chef served me the whale meat and eggplant stew as a complimentary dish, which was delicious and tender. The nigiri sushi was served one piece at a time on small rice balls with small toppings. The overall taste was rich and well-balanced, perfect for pairing with alcohol. The red clam and pike conger eel were highlights, and the sweet shrimp with kelp and adda horse mackerel melted in my mouth. The octopus and scallop soy-marinated were soft and flavorful, making them very enjoyable. I also had barley shochu poured generously in my glass, and we had a pleasant conversation about sushi I had tried in various parts of Japan. The chef shared stories about his experiences studying sushi at six different restaurants in Tokyo with his wife, who eventually got tired of sushi. He was a great listener and a conversationalist, making the time spent there very enjoyable. Towards the end of my meal, a regular couple arrived, so I moved aside to give them the central seats and enjoyed a cup of hot tea before settling the bill. It was a heartwarming experience at the standing sushi restaurant, and the fact that I could drink and eat so much for a reasonable price was fantastic. I promised to try all the items on the menu next time I visit. It was a stroke of luck that I could visit this place, as I read a review mentioning that the standing sushi restaurant is run by young chefs and only opens once a month in the evening. It seemed like I was fortunate to have met the head chef of the main branch during my visit. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

The World Tea House Visiting Record Episode 9 "Etchu-ya 3rd Store" Etchu-ya's 3rd store is located across the street from Etchu-ya 2nd store under the elevated tracks of Tenkachaya Station. However, I never expected the reviews here to be so difficult... ● Episode 1: Takeout Sushi Edition Etchu-ya's 3rd store is a takeout-only sushi restaurant, unlike the main store or the 2nd store. The takeout sushi is actually made at Etchu-ya's main store. If they run out of a certain type of sushi, the manager of the 3rd store will call the main store to request additional production, and a part-time female employee will deliver the additional takeout sushi by bicycle. So, even if the sushi you want is sold out, as long as the main store has the ingredients, they can make more and bring it to you. ■ Takeout Sushi Lineup ■ The takeout sushi lineup includes: ・Makizushi 490 yen ・Premium Makizushi 860 yen ・Inarizushi (5 pieces) 430 yen ・Recommended Nigiri (3 pieces) 300 yen ・Barazushi 1080 yen ・Battera 540 yen *Horse mackerel, young sea bream, mackerel ・Anago Baton Sushi 1080 yen ■ Tried Everything on the Menu ■ I visited the store multiple times as usual and tried everything that caught my eye. ・Horse Mackerel Battera The thick horse mackerel was not fishy at all and had a good balance of flavors. The addition of wood buds between the horse mackerel and white kelp gave a wonderful aroma. The accompanying pickled ginger with sansho pepper added a nice spicy and aromatic touch. ・Anago Baton Sushi The most expensive item on the takeout menu, the anago baton sushi, featured a thick and melt-in-your-mouth texture. It was topped with sesame seeds, which added a delightful nutty flavor. This anago baton sushi is incredibly delicious! ・Inarizushi My personal favorite from the takeout store is the inarizushi. The deep-fried tofu pouch was thick and juicy, with a generous amount of chopped shiitake mushrooms, carrots, and burdock root, along with plenty of sesame seeds. The delicious tofu pouch is sourced from "Kuzaiya," a tofu shop in Kyoto. ・Kohada Battera The kohada battera, not a standard menu item, had a slightly firmer texture. The use of shiso leaves and sesame seeds added a nice fragrance. While it was tasty, I personally prefer the horse mackerel battera. ・Premium Makizushi The premium makizushi featured a luxurious mix of ingredients, including anago, mountain burdock, denbu, tamago, sesame shiitake mushrooms, shrimp, and trefoil. The crispy texture of the mountain burdock and the spicy soy sauce flavor were excellent accents to the dish, and I loved the taste. ・Barazushi The ingredients in the barazushi included octopus, shrimp, anago, squid legs, edamame, kinshi tamago, denbu shiitake mushrooms, and sesame seeds. While it was delicious, the only downside was the anago, which was a bit tough instead of the melt-in-your-mouth texture like the anago baton sushi. ● Episode 2: Standing Sushi Edition Since I visited the takeout sushi store multiple times, I became friendly with the store manager and learned various things about the store. Then, the store manager of the takeout store shared a surprising story with me. It turns out that on the store's regular day off, which is Monday, they operate as a standing sushi restaurant once a month at night. An intriguing revelation... However, there was one problem... I hadn't asked about the next operating day yet, and the store manager on duty for the next day was different from the 3rd store's manager. So, I had no idea when the next operating day would be. In that case... I had to get off at Tenkachaya Station every Monday to check! And thus, my long and arduous battle began... ■ Visiting Every Week But Still Closed ■ From the first Monday of June, I kept getting off at Tenkachaya Station every week... But I couldn't seem to catch the operating day. I started to doubt if they really operated on Mondays... Despite my doubts, I continued to visit for four weeks... Until finally, I encountered "X Day"! In June 2016...

[16/07/First Visit] Standing and Eating Series #6 This place - a popular standing sushi restaurant, the 3rd branch of Echuya-ya, known for takeout usually, but once a month they have a standing sushi event. During the standing sushi event, a young chef (around 26 years old) who is training at the main branch, runs the shop alone. Mr. Tabelog was invited by Men-san and decided to give it a try! - The restaurant was small and packed with 4 adults. - We ordered bottled beer and cheers! Delicious! What we ate: - Assorted sashimi: Squid, sea urchin, tuna, red snapper seared, and grilled conger eel. The best was the grilled conger eel, the charred surface was delicious. - Fresh oysters: Milky and delicious. - Spanish mackerel in vinegar: Fatty and tender mackerel with a nice vinegar dressing. - Simmered octopus: Tender and lightly seasoned. - Tamago (complimentary): Lightly sweet. - One piece of sardine sushi for 150 yen: Melts in your mouth. - One piece of clam sushi for 300 yen: Slightly soy sauce and dashi flavored. - One piece of sandfish and kelp sushi for 150 yen: Sticky and fragrant with kelp. - Snow crab: Tender and moist. - One piece of conger eel sushi for 150 yen: Fluffy and moist. - One piece of blackthroat seaperch sushi: Smooth and creamy. The cost performance was great, with two people spending around 7000 yen for a satisfying meal and drinks. The young chef was a bit shy but entertaining. The highlight of the experience was not just the delicious food and value for money, but the young chef himself. I highly recommend trying to interact with him during their once-a-month event. Thank you for the meal!

I personally think that Koshinoya at Tenkachaya is the strongest and best casual sushi restaurant. I bought their takeout products this time. They were out of Anago eel sushi and rolled sushi, so I couldn't choose options like horse mackerel, sea bream, or mackerel, but it turned out to be good. I was thinking of choosing something that my 4-year-old and 1-year-old children could also eat, so I ended up making that choice. First of all, the rice is exceptionally delicious. It has a sweetness from the sugar, but also a great flavor from the rice itself. The rolled sushi (around 500 yen) with burdock root, egg, and trefoil is simple yet each ingredient is of very high quality. I bought it because it looked much better than the one from the main store, and both adults and children were satisfied with the quality. The Anago eel was fluffy and combined with the perfectly cooked rice, it was incredibly delicious. No wonder they sell out early. It's located right near Tenkachaya Station, so you'll miss out if you don't buy it. Highly recommended!

When this store was in a different location, the first thing I tried was the inari sushi. I wasn't a big fan of sushi in general, so I ordered inari sushi which I used to eat as a child. I wonder if many people order inari sushi at a sushi restaurant? The taste was so delicious that I occasionally buy it here. (Now I don't order inari sushi at the main store, haha.) I also love the conger eel sushi and the battera sushi, which is sometimes not made with mackerel and is delicious.

On a holiday, my wife and I went on a trip to Osaka's Tenmabashi to have lunch at "Echuya," which started offering lunch sets from April this year. Despite the low price of 950 yen, we were very satisfied with the lunch. On our way back, we stopped by the takeout-only "Echuya" located across the street to buy a souvenir for our home! - Echuya is a popular takeout-only shop in Tenmabashi. - The shop is located on the north side of the commercial facility "Shop Nankai" under the elevated structure of Nankai Tenmabashi Station. - It is the second branch that operates lunch service, located just across the street. - The shop has a narrow storefront, but with a signboard that says "Tenmabashi Echuya." - The interior can accommodate 3-4 people and used to serve standing sushi in the past. Menu: - Inari Sushi (5 pieces) 430 yen - Rolled Sushi 490 yen - Battera (pressed sushi) 540 yen - Anago Battera 1180 yen - Upper Roll 970 yen - Small Sea Bream Battera 1080 yen - Mackerel Battera 1940 yen Although the mackerel battera looked delicious, we had just finished lunch, so we decided to buy the battera, which our daughter loves! The battera here uses horse mackerel instead of mackerel, marinated with vinegar and salt to make pressed sushi. In the case of takeout, the rice may become hard, but here the rice was just right, with a soft texture that crumbles in the mouth. The overall taste is refreshing with a subtle sweetness and vinegar flavor. The sansho pepper seeds served with pickled ginger are delicious. After eating sushi at Echuya, buying a souvenir here seems like a local tradition. The sansho pepper seeds were so tasty...

There is a shop called Echuya directly across from Tenkacha-ya Station heading north. I tried their takeout and the conger eel sushi stick was delicious! The inari had a unique taste that I couldn't find elsewhere, and the thin rolls were also tasty! When I brought some back home, they became a hit with my family. (laughs)
