Each dish was colorful and vibrant, with the use of rapeseed flowers and chrysanthemums making me feel the arrival of spring ☺️ The most delicious dish was the roasted duck. The orange-colored sauce is made from carrots, and with each bite, the rich flavor of the duck spread in my mouth, making me want to eat more just by looking at it ("´༥`"). Every ingredient used in the dishes was a rare treat that I don't usually have, making it a luxurious lunch experience ♬︎♡ The staff's service was polite and the explanation of each dish was easy to understand ✨ I'm curious about their dinner menu, so I'd like to visit again!

It was my (umpteenth) birthday month, so we went for a celebratory lunch. It used to be hard to get a reservation here, so I hadn't been in a while. I saw some people who came without a reservation getting turned away because it was fully booked. It's definitely better to make a reservation in advance. The food was just as delicious as before, and I was very satisfied. The wine was flowing too (laughs). We had lunch on the terrace, and the breeze was so pleasant.

I went on a trip and made a reservation to enjoy my first riverside dining experience, but unfortunately it rained on the day and we had to dine indoors. It was quite a shock, but the food was delicious. It was a bit chilly due to the rain, so it might have been better if the rain had stopped and we could dine outside. I would like to visit Kyoto again, so I will have a rematch.

During the Golden Week period, the riverside lunch course was quite a deal at 2800 yen per person. Each dish was beautifully presented and tasted delicious. The riverside lunch during this season was not too hot or too cold, allowing us to fully enjoy the beautiful scenery!

When I went to Kyoto, I wanted to visit this restaurant and used it for lunch that day. Since it was Sunday, I made a reservation and visited. The sign saying "Today's reservations are full!" was displayed. The second-floor restaurant overlooks the Kamo River from the window, and the fresh greenery is lovely. Just seeing that raises your spirits, doesn't it? On this day, only set courses were available. I reserved a course that came with beef. The appetizer of salmon tortilla goes well with bread. The pasta of the day was Sawara Genovese with a nice aroma of seaweed. The meat was also delicious! I think the sauce is what makes it tasty. This time, we didn't have dessert after the meal, but it's also possible to add it. Next time, I want to try the desserts too! You can enjoy Italian cuisine while spending a relaxing time. It's that kind of restaurant. Thank you for the meal!

The restaurant has a cute atmosphere and is located in a lovely place. I made a reservation for the lunch course. I happened to pass by and entered a restaurant while looking for a place where I could eat pasta. I had the Ikariya Basic Course. The soup used spring cabbage and had a spicy kick to it. The salad had potatoes, tomatoes, and various other vegetables mixed in. The Campanile was served with mustard. The Cocotte Souffle Fromage was a dish made with eggs and white sauce, giving it an impression similar to a Western-style chawanmushi. The Maru Chicken Confit offered different cuts of leg and breast meat. Lastly, there was a peppery pasta dish made with pork belly and mushrooms. The restaurant had a small interior that seemed to be renovated from an old townhouse, with only a limited number of seats available. It seems they also offer birthday surprises.

I made a lunch reservation with my friend and went. It had been a long time, but it was still delicious. The 2nd floor we were seated on had bright tables with a nice view of the Kamo River from the windows. The staff's guidance was polite, and they explained each dish as it was served. The portion size was just right, not too much or too little. I thought I could have ordered dessert too. Since I can't drink coffee after a meal, I opted for a hot blend tea. It had a mysterious taste with a rooibos tea base. I would like to go again.

I visited the restaurant on a Thursday at 5:00 PM when it opened. There were two groups ahead of us. We were told that we could use the floor seats until 6:30 PM. I regret not choosing a table inside as it was getting a little cold towards the end of October. While eating the fluffy omelette on the hot iron plate, I warmed myself up. It's true that you should eat a meal in good conditions. The creative cuisine and atmosphere are very nice.

I had a riverside lunch. The weather forecast predicted rain, but luckily it was just cloudy. The lunch course was all delicious. The pasta was tasty, and the chestnut pork was flavorful with a slightly tangy and peppery sauce. There are steps, but strollers are allowed. They don't provide baby chairs, so we attached a belt to the adult chair for our baby.

When I went to Fortune Garden, I was told it was fully booked and was worried about what to do in the rain... But luckily, I saw inside the restaurant from the window and it seemed all female customers. When I asked, they said if I waited a bit, it would be okay. It seems like a place where reservations are essential. If you give them your phone number, they will call you when a table is available. Lunch is a set menu for 2500 yen, where you can choose from three meat dishes for the appetizer. I tried the recommended grilled mackerel and grilled eggplant for an additional 300 yen, and it was a great choice. The Spanish chestnut pork shoulder roast was also delicious with a fantastic sauce. The soup that comes with the pumpkin bread has a special butter in a small bottle - it's so tasty! I was very satisfied with the food. The lemon slice in the highball and sudachi cello gave a refreshing impression and tasted great. They offer a coin drink for 500 yen, limited to lunchtime. The seating is a bit close together, and it's mostly female groups, so it may not be the most relaxing dining space. It was quite lively on that day, but the female staff were very friendly and kind, so I felt comfortable throughout my meal.

When it comes to casual French cuisine in Kyoto, Ikariya is the place to go. I have visited four of their locations and each one maintains a consistent level of quality in both food and atmosphere. The prices are reasonable, allowing for a stylish dining experience, making it a reliable choice for gatherings. This review is for my second visit to Ikariya Dining. I tried the "Kamogawa Summer Terrace Lunch Course (with beef as the main dish)" for 3400 yen. The appetizers offered a variety of textures and flavors, with the pasta being particularly delicious with generous ingredients and perfect seasoning. The beef harami was cooked just right and very tasty. However, there was one disappointing incident... When I asked for a refill of baguette, I was charged 180 yen for one piece. It made me a bit sad because I had expected unlimited baguette with a French course meal. Despite this, I still appreciate the effort put into providing high-quality dishes at this price point. I couldn't help but wish they offered an option for unlimited baguette at a small additional cost to maintain the feeling of indulging in as much bread as one desires. Overall, I still love this restaurant. Thank you for the delicious meal!

I went on a night when the heat was becoming more bearable. We were able to eat by the riverbed. The only downside was that there were flies buzzing around constantly. The food was consistently delicious, especially the pasta. The half-size confit and the famous fromage souffle were also delicious. The service was attentive, and we were offered plate replacements multiple times.

Visited with a reservation at 6:00 PM on Saturday. Made the reservation a month in advance. Originally planned to sit by the riverside, but due to rain, we sat indoors. We ordered a la carte instead of the course menu. The Cocotte Souffle Fromage had a rich broth flavor and was more flavorful than expected. The confit of whole chicken was tender. After about an hour and a half, they informed us that the riverside seating was ready, so we moved outside. It was delightful to enjoy drinks outside! We had five drinks each. Overall, the food was delicious.

Dinner at a riverside terrace in Kamogawa. The sky cleared after the rain, turning blue with fluffy clouds, and the temperature was surprisingly comfortable for a summer night in Kyoto. We had a course meal that included chilled tomato soup, salad, beef terrine, cheese, and duck confit. The chilled tomato soup had a perfect balance of tomato acidity and the richness of olive oil, making it a recommended dish even for those who aren't fans of chilled soups. The salad was simple but paired excellently with the tangy dressing, and the tomatoes were exceptionally delicious. The beef terrine offered a unique flavor I had never experienced before, especially delightful when eaten with mustard. The cheese dish I had been craving was truly outstanding, enveloped in a sweet cheese aroma and delightfully fluffy. The duck confit, made with both breast and thigh meat, had contrasting textures but both were flavorful and delicious.

I came here for my birthday. We had a seat at the farthest table by the riverside, so the view was beautiful! I was so happy. This time, we had lunch. The menu details are shown in the photos. The most delicious dish for me was the pasta. I thought it might have a strong curry flavor because it was called Saffron-style, but it wasn't that noticeable. The shaved karasumi (bottarga) was a nice accent and it was delicious. The Cocotte Souffle Fromage seems to be popular, so I would like to try that next time. Thank you for the meal.
