There were three staff members. When I entered thinking of eating a quick set meal and leaving, they told me they weren't serving the night set meal (laughs). Every dish was delicious. Next time, I want to try the duck hot pot. Even if you don't drink alcohol, it's totally fine to come just for soba or udon!

"Sakura Cross Hospital" and "Haruyoshi Community Center". It is located one street away from the main road. Inside the restaurant: It has a quiet atmosphere where you can spend a relaxing time. There are about 6 counter seats and 4 table seats. I had lunch and it quickly became almost full. I ordered duck soba. It had a light broth with crispy watercress, fragrant duck with a crispy sear, and thick green onions. The soba noodles were surprisingly smooth and had a unique texture. Lunch hours: 11:30-14:30. Payment methods (lunchtime): Cash or PayPay. (Dinnertime): Credit cards are accepted (major brands should be accepted, please confirm at the time of payment for details).

I wonder if they moved from Nakasu. I went to Nakasu Fujimoto in Haruyoshi. The menu is quite varied, with options ranging from sashimi to meat to appetizers that would go well with drinks. It seems like they are cutting back on their ingredients due to the pandemic, but there were still plenty of choices. We started with oden and then had some Uni from Karatsu, which was probably the last of the season. We also had grilled fish guts, ginkgo nuts, tomatoes, and a few glasses of shochu. The bill ended up being higher than expected, maybe because of Nakasu prices. It might have been better to go for the chef's choice course.

During the state of emergency, there were few shops open, but I happened to enter this one and the atmosphere was really nice. The soba was delicious too. The person I went with changed their mind when they heard the daily special menu, so they didn't have the soba, but still. The staff were polite and warm even when seeing us off. It was a shop I would like to visit again.

Located 2-3 minutes' walk from Hotel New Otani, this Japanese restaurant caught my eye with its lunch menu displayed outside. The interior had a calm atmosphere with counter seats and traditional low tables. Upon entering, you are required to take off your shoes. It felt like a family-run establishment. Although tempted by the eel bowl, I opted for the "Oyster Fry Set Meal".
The "Oyster Fry Set Meal (1000 yen including tax)" included four large pieces of freshly fried oysters, served with a generous amount of tartar sauce and Worcestershire sauce with a hint of ketchup flavor. I mainly enjoyed it with the tartar sauce, which had a great taste.
The set meal also came with three side dishes:
- Silken tofu in broth, which had a good flavor.
- Potato salad with egg.
- Soy sauce-pickled daikon peel.
The rice was of average quality, but you could ask for seconds. The miso soup was flavorful with plenty of tofu and green onions, which I enjoyed after a long time.
The oyster fry was delicious, but the side dishes were small in portion. I wished there was a bit more quantity. Overall, I think the taste was good.

Visited the soba and set meal restaurant #Nakasu Fujimoto in Fukuoka City, Chuo Ward on January 20, 2021 (Wednesday). I stumbled upon this nice restaurant next to the delicious udon restaurant Mugiemon behind Hotel New Otani Hakata. The interior of the restaurant has a style where you take off your shoes before entering (I was the first customer), with counter seats and sunken kotatsu table seats available. Looking at the lunch menu, they had soba made from 100% buckwheat flour as the first option! Followed by options like vegetables, fish, meat, and daily specials. I decided to order the chicken tempura set meal priced at 850 yen (tax included). It came with three small side dishes and miso soup with wheat gluten. Free refills for rice. The three small side dishes included thinly sliced pickled radish, potato salad, and warm, flavorful tofu. The chicken tempura was served with six pieces, crispy coating and tender chicken inside. It was delicious when dipped in ponzu sauce, refreshing and tasty. I had a refill of rice and left the restaurant fully satisfied with my lunch. Located at 1-7-18 Haruyoshi, Chuo Ward, Fukuoka City. Closed on Sundays and the last Monday of the month.

After-event solo drinking party. Spring Yoshiki "Nakasu Fujimoto" at Hotel New Otani for event work. This time it was a corporate anniversary event... I couldn't even have lunch because there were banquets in front of me all day and night due to work... Come to think of it, I haven't even had water. Finally, around 8:00 pm, I was released and jumped into a nearby izakaya "Nakasu Fujimoto"... They have a great evening set with draft beer, bitter melon, potato salad, grated yam as small dishes... and horse mackerel sashimi with grilled eggplant... all for 1500 yen + tax. Nice, right? It's just the right healthy touch for a tired body. I wish they could reduce one dish and add one more drink instead. For drinks, I had a highball for the second round and then some Japanese sake... Hidashibori for 800 yen + tax hits the spot. It feels like my tired body is relaxing and melting away. The restaurant seems to have been in Nakasu before, as the name suggests, and they still have Yamakasa festival goods, so they seem to be keeping the Nakasu spirit alive in their name. Thank you for the meal~

Fujimoto, which used to be located near the Hakataza in Nakasu, has moved to Haruyoshi. I used to visit this place a few times when I was younger, as my boss would take me there to enjoy delicious fish. Recently, while walking around, I stumbled upon the familiar sign advertising a 1500 yen drink special, so I decided to go in without hesitation. The owners, an elderly couple, mentioned that their son now runs the place. However, on this day, their son was away participating in the Yamakasa festival, so the parents were managing the shop. I ordered a highball and was served three side dishes. I am looking forward to returning with a group next time to enjoy a night of eating and drinking various dishes.

This is a restaurant that takes over the noren of a famous restaurant near Hakata-za. While the former restaurant was located in a high-end area used for entertaining guests, this new restaurant focuses on casual dining while retaining the former restaurant's strengths. They offer a wide range of menu items including fish, meat, vegetables, and the famous Hakata zoni. The counter seating allows smoking, but it would be nice to have a non-smoking counter as well.

The food is delicious, but the service can be a bit harsh, especially towards older customers. The prices are fair, but the staff could be more friendly with each other to improve the overall atmosphere of the restaurant.
