Located on the second floor of a building near the Takamiyakomaekousaten intersection, around halfway between Yakuin Station and Hirao Station, is a stylish BAR. I made a reservation two days ago and visited after dinner nearby. I used to stop by bars after dinner often, but it's been a while, so I was looking forward to it. ^^ I first met the Master (the owner) more than ten years ago at a hotel bar in Daimyo, and I was drawn to his pleasant personality and delicious cocktails, so I visited several times. He was still in his twenties at that time. I visited his newly opened shop about 9 years ago. Time has passed, and his body has become a bit bigger, but his friendly smile and customer service are still wonderful. The shop is on the second floor, and it is a spacious and stylish space. Since there were many customers, I only took photos in inconspicuous places. He mentioned that the shop has been open for 5 years, but it is quite popular and almost full. I'm glad I made a reservation. ♪ Prices are including tax. There is a cover charge of 500 yen. ◆Whiskey Sour (1,700 yen) - Bourbon-based, with lemon, honey, and frothed egg white on top. The taste is light and refreshing. The ice is spherical, which is a traditional feature of bars. I used to see bartenders shaving ice into a sphere at old bars, but nowadays many places use regular ice without putting in the effort, so it was nice to see. ♪ I used to like the Master's fruit cocktails, so even though it wasn't on the menu, I asked for one. ◆Strawberry Cocktail (2,400 yen) - It's been a while since I had the Master's fruit cocktail, and it was delicious. Fresh strawberries, gin infused with Earl Grey tea, and other ingredients that he explained carefully but I couldn't remember. m(__)m There are various snacks available, but it's interesting to choose from the actual items rather than the menu. *From the top, I was interested in "prosciutto," but my husband preferred "cheese" as he likes cheese. ◆Cheese Platter (3,400 yen) - As shown, it was a generous serving. ♪ ◆Charm: "Deep-fried wheat gluten" - I've had this many times when I stayed at the hotel, and it's perfect for snacking with its crispy texture and mild saltiness. ◆Cheese Platter - All the cheeses were high quality, and even my husband, who usually doesn't like blue cheese, said it was delicious. I like dried figs and raisins, so this set was to my liking. ◆East Side New York (1,700 yen) - Bourbon with rose liqueur, apple, lemon, aromatic bitters (rum-based bitter liqueur), etc. I took a sip, and it was easy to drink and delicious. ◆California LOVE (1,800 yen) - Gin infused with Earl Grey tea, raspberry syrup, pink grapefruit, tonic, etc. It's refreshing and easy to drink, suitable for women. *On top, there are raspberries. It's a long cocktail, and it's been a while since I saw long ice in a drink. I feel the goodness of a traditional bar, and the cocktails are delicious. It was nice to see the Master again after a long time. ^^ If I have the opportunity to dine nearby again, I would like to stop by.
