The day before, I had a café lunch with my daughter in the neighborhood, and the next day we went to Shinjuku together! We went to register for a day labor job. I've never worked for a temporary agency before, but my daughter has worked before. Her registration had expired, so we went together to re-register. I probably won't end up working, but we were talking about wanting to go to a café again, and when we searched, we found a place with delicious matcha sweets in Nishi-Shinjuku. It was a bit of a walk, near the Shinjuku Sumitomo Building, so it was easy to find. This street is often used for filming, and we even saw a shoot happening while we were there. The matcha latte 3D art at this café was so cute, with a rabbit and bear made out of foam. It was too cute to drink, but I ended up finishing it all. If you want it sweeter, they provide sugar so you can adjust the sweetness. We also tried the Charyo Suisen parfait with rich matcha, which was more filling than it looked. It had matcha mitsukasa, matcha sacreole (matcha roll cookie), koshian, shiratama, matcha friand (matcha baked confection), warabimochi, matcha soft serve, and black sugar jelly, all homemade Japanese sweets. It was a luxurious and indulgent parfait that showcased the delicious sweets of the café. The atmosphere was elegant and refined, reminiscent of Kyoto. The main store is in Kyoto, but they also have branches in Tokyo, like in Shibuya and Ikebukuro. It was a lovely place that made us feel like we were on a trip to Kyoto. After some shopping, the night continued...
