I came to a hot pot and spicy soup restaurant for lunch. I chose the spicy soup set meal (680 yen + tax) from the lunch menu. The Chinese staff handed me a menu in Japanese and said, "This is the menu in Japanese. Please check what you like." I could only hear conversations in Chinese around me, creating a very foreign atmosphere. First, I chose the noodles: I selected thick vermicelli from options like glass noodles, thick glass noodles, Chinese noodles, knife-cut noodles, and instant noodles. Next, I chose the spiciness level of the soup from 5 levels and picked the middle level (2). For free toppings, I chose green onions and coriander. You can choose up to 3 ingredients for the spicy soup, and out of the 60 options, I chose enoki mushrooms, pork belly, and chrysanthemum greens. When you check the lunch set, it comes with rice. The spicy soup arrived, smelling of sesame and chili peppers. The rice was not as good as rice from a nice rice shop, but it was fine when eaten with the soup. The vermicelli was wide, about 1cm, and about 10cm long. It had a chewy texture and was very pleasant to eat. There were various condiments for flavoring: sesame sauce, sesame oil, chili oil, black vinegar, Sichuan pepper oil, and roasted sesame seeds, allowing for different combinations. I added plenty of chili oil for extra spiciness, along with black vinegar and Sichuan pepper oil for a numbing sensation, making the meal even more enjoyable.
