Reservation required‼️ The restaurant is run by two women, which may be why the food takes some time to be served, and they are very strict with walk-in customers, simply stating "We are full" without any discussion. This was my second visit, and just like last time, the lunch set seemed a bit disappointing. The sushi was fresh, but it didn't have the same impact as before, and the rice was a bit sticky. My friend felt that the rice portion in the Sushi Lunch A was smaller than before and left them unsatisfied. Also, for some reason, the coffee served after the meal was hot even though it's so hot outside; last time it was iced coffee. The disappointment increased a bit. I wonder if I should go there again.

It's a night in Rumoi. Two years ago? It was the same, the first choice was full, so I went to the second option, where I could get in. I was alone and only table seats were available. Is that okay? The raised tatami area was closed off, but the counter was available. Well, that's fine. The female owner was working hard to make sushi. It's rare to see a female owner in this industry, right? I ordered the sushi set A for 2500 yen, excluding tax. It was decent. The chawanmushi was hot. The sushi was okay, a bit firm. Personally, I prefer the rice to be softer. The wasabi wasn't very strong. It seemed like there were a lot of families dining there. A review from a while ago criticized the miso soup, but it was actually delicious. The miso was a bit light, but the broth was well-made, resulting in a tasty miso soup. The restaurant seemed quite busy with the owner and a female server, both working hard.

Hello~! I'm Yuzu from the sunny city of Okayama ( ´ ▽ ` )ノ Today, I'm in tourist mode! It's my first trip to Hokkaido! For the first day, I stayed in Rumoi City. I had no idea about Rumoi City before, but I visited as a stopover on my way to Wakkanai. For dinner, I splurged a bit and went to a sushi restaurant called "Araiso Sushi" in Rumoi City. The restaurant is located slightly off the main nightlife area where izakayas gather. It's a fairly large and clean restaurant. They even have a parking lot! As I entered the restaurant, I noticed that there were quite a few table seats, which is unusual for a sushi restaurant. Of course, there are also counter seats. Since we were with children, we were seated at a raised tatami mat area. The restaurant has a spacious capacity. The veteran waitress provided friendly service. She also paid attention to the children. Looking at the menu, they offer a wide variety of dishes such as nigiri sushi, chirashi sushi, rice bowls, set meals, hot pot rice, and side dishes. There was even gratin on the menu. You can also order sushi individually. I was impressed by the separate order sheet for individual orders. The prices of the dishes vary, but if you watch your wallet, you can have a relatively affordable meal. However, I found the prices of drinks to be slightly high. Here is what we had today: - Shellfish sushi set (2000 yen): Abalone, surf clam, whelk, scallop. Hokkaido is known for its shellfish! It was my first time trying live surf clam, and it was delicious with no fishy smell. - Sashimi assortment (pine - 2000 yen): Sweet shrimp, tuna, yellowtail, squid, live surf clam, scallop, white fish (name unknown). The freshness was decent. It wasn't bad, but considering the price, it felt a bit lacking. - Zangi (800 yen): Zangi is a must in Hokkaido! It was surprising to see it on the menu at a sushi restaurant. It was delicious with a nice ginger flavor and a good portion. - Tempura assortment (1700 yen): Three large prawns, eggplant, pumpkin, shiitake mushroom, green pepper. It was tasty, but I felt it was not quite worth the price. - Individual sushi: I ordered individual sushi without wasabi for the kids. I chose salmon roe, flying fish roe, shrimp, egg, kanpyo roll, and shrimp mayo roll. My 6-year-old said it was delicious. We ended up drinking quite a bit, and the total bill was around 11,000 yen. I tried to keep the food cost around 7,000 yen, so the cost-effectiveness of the drinks seems to be important. In any case, I'm glad I found a delicious sushi restaurant in Rumoi City (b'3`*)

I went on a day trip to Rumoi with my family. For lunch, we had a sea urchin and salmon roe bowl. The famous restaurants in Rumoi were full, so we decided to go to Ariso Sushi for the sea urchin and salmon roe bowl. Even with children, we were able to eat leisurely, and the staff at the restaurant were very friendly. The sea urchin was very fresh and delicious.

I often visit Rumoi City for work. When I come to a port town, I feel like eating delicious fish. However, my schedule is often packed, so I end up eating convenience store meals or snacks. On this day, I had time for lunch, so I decided to go to a restaurant that serves lunch menus. My junior colleague ordered a sashimi set, while I ordered a set of 10 pieces of sushi with uni and shrimp. I was worried about eating too much, but when the sushi was served, I saw that the rice portion was small, so I didn't have to worry! As expected from a regular sushi restaurant, they use good quality ingredients. The pieces of fish were a bit small, which was a bit disappointing, but my junior colleague who ordered the sashimi set seemed satisfied, saying "there was a lot." The miso soup made with shrimp broth was flavorful. The uni tofu in the small side dish was delicious. I wished I had some sake to go with the meal (laughs). Thank you for the meal.

This is a delicious sushi restaurant in Rumoi City. They have counter seats, table seats, and even a raised tatami seating area. In addition to sushi, they offer a variety of side dishes, making it suitable for izakaya-style dining as well. The sashimi platter is decent, nothing particularly special. The tempura is crispy and delicious! The sushi pieces are small and easy to eat, with tasty vinegared rice. The best value for money is probably the assorted raw fish sushi, which is luxurious with a variety of toppings. I forgot to take a photo, but ordering the assorted raw fish sushi here is the way to go! Overall, I think it's a great restaurant for families. Thank you for the meal!

I arrived at the perfect time for lunch. Lunch hours are from 11:00 to 14:00. I had the raw chirashi lunch for ¥1900, and my partner had sushi lunch A for ¥1800. It came with two daily side dishes, miso soup, and pickles. After the meal, we had coffee or ice cream. The raw chirashi lunch was very filling! The fish was fresh, rich, and delicious. The side dishes were also tasty, and we left feeling satisfied. In these times, this amount of food at this price is amazing. It's great to have a sushi restaurant where the owner is the chef.

Sushi restaurant located on a corner lot behind the bus street in the center of Kitamachi, Rumoi City. They offer a rare dish of kama meshi here. I visited alone during lunchtime. The price is just over 1,000 yen, making it affordable. However, the customer service attitude was an issue, as the greetings were rough and the service was too indifferent, so I probably won't be visiting again.

I made a reservation for 11 o'clock, so there was no one else and I was able to have lunch without worrying about the coronavirus. I ordered a chirashi sushi and enjoyed the seafood, which was delicious. The vinegar rice was mild, enhancing the flavor of the toppings. The texture of the fish was also to my liking.

During the first half of Golden Week, I took a light drive to Rumoi. I had sushi at Ariso Sushi. They have a lunch menu, but it's a bit pricey as you get two side dishes along with your meal. I didn't want any side dishes, so I was hoping to get 10 pieces of sushi for around 1,200 yen. I ended up ordering the "Jou-nama sushi" for 1,700 yen. Overall, the sushi was neither great nor terrible. The shellfish (scallop, hotate) lacked in both volume and freshness, which was a bit disappointing.

I visited for a preview of my autumn trip. It was my first visit. The shop has a spacious parking lot in front, and the store itself is in a clean building. The first floor has a counter and table seats, with a raised seating area on the side. I arrived around 12 p.m. on a Sunday and the place was very busy, soon becoming full. I ordered the sushi lunch set A, which came with two small side dishes that change daily. On this day, it was sea urchin gratin and sesame green beans. Both were delicious, but I especially enjoyed the sea urchin gratin! The sushi pieces were elegantly small, perhaps considering the overall balance of the meal, given that this is Hokkaido. The miso soup was also tasty. Coffee or ice cream is included. With a variety of dishes to try, I think this lunch is perfect for those who want to eat a little bit of sushi. In the evening, there was a sushi set with tempura and small dishes for around 3000 yen. If you add a beer to this, it would feel like a small party, which I thought was nice.

I visit every year for the crab kamameshi. It's very luxurious with plenty of ingredients. You can also order sushi, and the conger eel is particularly soft and delicious. There was one time in the past when the rice in the kamameshi was too soft, which was quite disappointing. Perhaps it's difficult to achieve the same taste and rice hardness every day.

This is a long-established sushi restaurant in Rumoi, but hmm, customers will not be satisfied with this, especially those who come to Rumoi expecting sushi will be disappointed (featured in a famous travel magazine in Hokkaido). The taste is average, but there is no ingenuity at all. 1) The photos of the menu are faded 2) The handwritten characters in the menu are like gal-style fonts 3) There are no menu items that make you feel the season 4) There is no ingenuity in the menu 5) There is no attachment to the local area. I want them to improve 1) and 2). 3) They should consider the ingredients for the miso soup that comes with the sushi. It's July, but they serve "Nameko mushroom miso soup." Since they have the heads of sweet shrimp used for sashimi, can't they at least serve shrimp miso soup? 4) Despite it being the "Uni Festival" period in Rumoi in July, there were no menu items related to local sea urchins due to poor catch. I live near Rumoi, but I came to see what the Uni Festival is like, and I was disappointed. 5) There are no menu items that make you feel the essence of Rumoi. There should be local sake from Motomoe available, so I want them to focus on that. Famous cold sake from Honshu can be found anywhere. Tourists who come to Rumoi are looking for the essence of Rumoi. Hmm, I wouldn't take customers to this restaurant. I want them to do their best. There are plenty of local ingredients in Rumoi like sea urchin, herring, shrimp, scallops, so why not utilize them? The noren (curtain) of this place is that of an old-established restaurant. If they continue like this, "the noren will cry."
