I visited this restaurant for lunch because I wanted to have a proper Western meal after having a not-so-delicious one recently. This place is known for its tasty hamburgers and is located near Marutamachi Station. I arrived a little before opening and was the first customer, but as soon as the restaurant opened, many people came in and it quickly became full. Since I was dining alone, I was seated at the counter. Looking at the menu, they offered a business lunch set. On this day, I wanted to try the hamburger, so I ordered the Cheddar cheese and sunny-side-up egg simmered hamburger from the business lunch menu. After a while, a plate with a generous serving of simmered hamburger with sauce, Cheddar cheese, sunny-side-up egg, potato salad, shredded carrots, and cabbage was brought to me. It also came with rice and miso soup. I started with the simmered hamburger. It was cooked in demi-glace sauce, so it had a firm texture, but the flavor of the meat was rich and delicious. It paired well with the sauce and was very tasty. Breaking the yolk of the sunny-side-up egg and mixing it with the hamburger created a smooth flavor, while mixing it with the cheese gave it a rich taste, allowing me to enjoy the flavor changes. I wanted to have it with wine, but since it was lunchtime and I had work afterwards, that wasn't possible. However, the hamburger went really well with white rice, and I found myself enjoying it. The potato salad and vegetables on the side were also delicious, and the miso soup had a gentle flavor. Everything was excellent, and it was a lunch of very high quality. I wiped the sauce on the plate with the hamburger and salad, making sure to savor every bit of it. Local residents, families with children, elderly people relaxing and enjoying their meals, as well as young women enjoying a set of hamburger and omurice, made me feel that this restaurant is loved by people of all ages and genders. The hamburger was delicious, the staff were efficient and friendly, the retro and calm atmosphere inside the restaurant allowed me to relax and enjoy the delicious food. I look forward to visiting again and trying out various other menu items.

Tongue Stew Hamburg 1700 yen. The stew was so delicious that I ended up drinking it all. The tongue was also incredibly tender, and the hamburger was just as impressive. The portion size was enough for me to consider having another one, but I still felt satisfied.

One of my junior colleagues from the head office came, so I wanted them to try something delicious. We usually just have lunch, but today we splurged on hamburg steak and beef tongue stew. The tender tongue melts in your mouth, and the sauce is exquisite. I regret not pouring it over the rice after finishing it.

I visited for the first time. The interior of the restaurant had an open entrance and the air conditioning was not working... It was very tough for me as I'm sensitive to heat. I ordered the Tan Shichu Hamburg steak, where the hamburger is served piping hot in front of you, along with a beer. The hamburger inside the Tan Shichu was very hot. I would like to come back in winter...

I wanted to eat delicious hamburgers for lunch, so I searched for a place. Even though it was a weekday, there were many people waiting in line. I had the Tan Stew Hamburger, and the meat was so tender and delicious. The hotplate hamburgers kept coming until I finished, so it was delicious until the end. The foreigner sitting next to me ordered a second hamburger (lol). It's a very popular restaurant, so be prepared to wait a little when you go.

A delicious restaurant featured on the Matsuko Deluxe TV show, known for their Napolitan dish. While other menu items caught my eye, I stuck with Napolitan as the main dish. Lunch seems affordable and promising. Will try the lunch menu next time! The Hamburg Napolitan (with fried egg) sizzles on the iron plate, offering a juicy sensation. Comes with miso soup and salad. PayPay is accepted.

Located a little off the main area of Karasuma, this restaurant doesn't particularly stand out with its appearance, so you might not have high expectations at first glance. Arrived slightly after the lunch rush and managed to get a table without waiting. Ordered the Tan-Shi Chuu Hamburg. The dish was kept piping hot on a stove, and though my tongue took a beating throughout, it was incredibly delicious. The demi-glace sauce was quite perfect, and the braised Tan meat was tender and flavorful. Even when the sauce reduced, it remained rich and well-balanced, showing thoughtful preparation. The hamburger was quite dense and satisfying. With this sauce, I believe any menu item here would be a safe bet. Definitely coming back again.

I visited without a reservation around 6 p.m. Luckily, there were seats available and I was seated promptly. I ordered the Tan Shichu Hamburg set and the Tan Steak. I had thought the Tan Shichu and Hamburg were separate items, so I was pleasantly surprised to find out that the Tan Shichu came with the Hamburg. The Hamburg was thick and very delicious. The Tan Shichu was also rich and very tasty. I heard that the price of Tan is rising, but even with plenty of Tan to enjoy, the Hamburg was also very generous in portion size, filling me up nicely!

Located a 3-minute walk from Marutamachi Station on the Kyoto Municipal Subway. No parking available. Visited at 5:30 PM on a weekday and entered without waiting in line. Solo female diners present. The exterior and interior have a café-like atmosphere. The restaurant is filled with the tempting smoke of hamburgers being grilled. There are counter seats and table seats, and I chose a table seat. This restaurant is famous for its hamburgers in Kyoto, a place I've always wanted to visit. I ordered the Ox Tongue Stew Hamburger and Thick-cut Ox Tongue Steak for 2300 yen including tax, a bit of a splurge. It comes with a generous salad and a sunny-side-up egg on top of the hamburger, which is a nice touch. The Ox Tongue Steak is larger than expected and satisfying to eat. It's delicious with a firm texture, and the wasabi goes well with it. The hamburger is rich and meaty. Paired with their prideful demi-glace sauce, it's also delicious. Add the ox tongue stew to the mix, and it's an unbeatable combo! With portions this generous, the satisfaction exceeds the price. This is great! Definitely coming back. Next time, I'll bring my wife with me!

It's crowded for both lunch and dinner, but definitely worth the wait! This place is a must-visit! The Western-style restaurant! I tried the Tan Stew Hamburg which is highly recommended, and the tenderness of the Tan in the stew was just amazing! The hamburger itself has a traditional feel to it. Above all, you can enjoy it while it stays warm throughout.

On the second day of June 2023 in Kyoto, I visited the Kamigamo and Shimogamo shrines as I had hoped. For lunch, we went to a restaurant where, despite not being a fan of meat, I decided to try their hamburger steak and Neapolitan spaghetti. The place seemed popular with a long line outside, mostly young couples. I checked the menu while waiting and decided to order the "Fried Egg Cheddar Cheese Stewed Hamburger Steak" for 930 yen and the "Classic Neapolitan with Demi Egg Burger, Salad, and Miso Soup" for 1,450 yen, totaling 2,380 yen including tax. The hamburger steak was firm with minimal filler, not very juicy, lacking a raw or gamey taste, and served with a tasty stew sauce. The Neapolitan spaghetti was delicious, making the Demi Egg Burger seem unnecessary.

I had the tongue stew hamburger. I chose the one with a fried egg on top of the tongue and hamburger. There were also options with cheese on top. The hamburger was very delicious, and the rice went well with it. For a woman, it was just the right amount to feel satisfied.

I stopped by during my trip to Kyoto. It was around 1:00 pm on Saturday. I thought it might be crowded, but luckily I was able to enter smoothly. They offer a variety of classic Western dishes on the menu. I chose the beef stew with beef tongue, hamburger, and sunny-side-up eggs, giving a very Western feel. The taste was delicious! The beef tongue was tender, and there were three large pieces of it! The hamburger was thick and juicy when cut. The sunny-side-up egg was perfectly runny and tasty. The miso soup had a rich flavor that was also impressive. Truly Kyoto (?). It was like an adult version of a children's lunch and I was very satisfied. If a restaurant like this was nearby, I would definitely become a regular customer. Thank you for the meal!

I had lunch at Grill Demini, famous for its Tan Stew Hamburg. I went at opening time, but it was full. They said it would take a while, but I was able to get in after about 20 minutes. When I looked back, there was a long line. It's a popular place. I tried the omurice. It was a classic type of omurice, but the demi-glace sauce was so delicious that I finished it in no time. The hamburger was meaty and very satisfying, and it was really delicious. Despite being busy, I was impressed by the polite service. The warm atmosphere of the staff was very nice. Next time I go, I want to try the Tan Stew Hamburg.

I visited around 12 p.m. on a weekday. Perhaps because of the rain, we were seated without waiting, but the restaurant became full while we were there. I ordered the Salisbury steak set meal. The Salisbury steak was served piping hot until the end, and it was excellent. It was so delicious that I would like to visit again!

A Western-style restaurant located right near Marutamachi subway station. Visited a little before noon on a weekday and had to wait for 2 groups ahead of us. Seated in about 15 minutes. It's somewhat tucked away, but I noticed several Asian foreigners coming in one after another. Maybe it's in guidebooks or something. They also have an English menu available. They take your order while you're waiting in line, so the food is served relatively quickly. The Tan Stew Hamburger is a unique dish with a hamburger placed in the center of a stew simmered with solid fuel. The hamburger is juicy and delicious, and the slice of cheddar cheese adds richness. The tan retains its shape but melts in your mouth. The stew, or rather demi-glace, is slightly rich and tangy, but when mixed with the meat juices from cutting the hamburger, it balances out nicely. Despite the rich flavors, it pairs well with rice. I was skeptical about having miso soup with stew, but the dashi-flavored miso soup with ikanago (sand lance) was very refreshing. The price was a bit high, but it was delicious. I'll try the lunch set next time since it's more affordable. Thank you for the meal!

I visited the restaurant on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, just before 12:00 p.m. There were 6 customers before me. I wonder if it will get crowded soon? I sat at the designated table and ordered the Hamburg steak with simmered sunny-side-up egg. The price seemed quite reasonable. It arrived quickly! I was a bit surprised. The texture of the Hamburg steak was quite firm! I smashed the sunny-side-up egg halfway through and it was nice to change the taste. The notable thing about this restaurant is that the miso soup is delicious! The rich flavor of the broth was excellent.
