I purchased three types of fig tarts for takeout, including one that is exclusive to the Kyoto location. Each tart skillfully highlights the seasonal fruits, and they are distinct enough from each other that I didn't get tired of eating all three.

You always have to wait in line to get in. It's hard to find time to go there as well. For a celebration, my son and his wife gave me a seasonal fruit tart as a gift. It seems they made a reservation and had it set up. I enjoyed it with Mariage Frères tea.

I dropped by in the early afternoon and found that the eat-in area was not crowded at all! Even though I was full from lunch, I decided to go in. There were some limited-time options, and after much consideration, I chose two strawberry desserts. Each dessert perfectly matched the characteristics of the strawberries, and I was very satisfied. Next time, I'll try a combination of strawberry and muscat flavors!

I love Kilfebo! The Kyoto store is small with limited seating, so I usually get takeout, but this time I tried eating in for the first time. I waited for about 20 minutes before getting a seat. The fruits are fresh and all the tarts are really delicious! Thank you for the meal.

When it comes to fruit tarts, this is the place to go!! The fruit packed tightly without any gaps is mesmerizing. There's always a long line, but luckily we were able to get in smoothly this time. One friend went for the muscat grapes without hesitation. I was torn between strawberries, but since the other friend chose them, I went with pistachio, my favorite. Even though it doesn't have any fruit on top, it's still delicious. They serve tea in a pot, so I recommend tea if you're dining in. You'll need plenty of drinks with the tart. It's undeniably delicious. A tart to be enjoyed with seasonal fruits.

I visited the Kiiroh Bon Kyoto store located at Ebisucho, Ebisubashi corner, Sanjo-agaru, Kiyamachi-dori, Nakagyo-ku, Kyoto, Kyoto Prefecture. It is about a 7-minute walk from Sanjo Station, an 8-minute walk from Sanjo Keihan Station, and a 6-minute walk from Kyoto Shiyakusho-mae Station, with a coin parking nearby making it convenient to access. The restaurant has 31 seats, including 6 tables for two, 3 tables for three, 1 table for four, and 3 tables for two on the terrace. This time, I purchased a set of two baked sweets (580 yen) which included a plain baton and a florentine. The baton, a long-selling baked sweet from Kiiroh Bon, had a moist texture with a rich buttery aroma, and it was delicious. The florentine had a moderate sweetness and a satisfying texture. The packaging is also cute, making it a recommended small gift. Kiiroh Bon is a tart specialty store that uses plenty of seasonal fruits. The name Kiiroh Bon means "How lovely the weather is!" in French. From the moment you enter the store to the time you choose and savor the tart, the desire for customers to feel excited and warm throughout is reflected in every corner of the store. I hope to visit again when I have the chance. Thank you very much!

During the New Year's holidays in Kansai, coinciding with my mother's birthday, we always choose this place's tart for her birthday cake. I first visited during my university days, so it's been over 20 years, but the deliciousness and popularity have remained constant. There's always a line, and I realize that this place is loved by a wide range of people, from children to the elderly. The menu is so extensive, and choosing a cake is part of the fun of visiting this place. The Seasonal Fruit Tart Winter Version Whole 15cm for takeout costs 4,212 yen. It's not only visually vibrant but also a harmonious blend of fresh seasonal fruits, smooth custard cream, and crispy pie crust in every bite. I heard they pay attention to the size and cutting of the fruits. Truly a masterpiece that embodies what Kilfebon is all about.

I am in charge of buying sweets for New Year's, so I went to purchase this tart. Usually, the café is crowded with customers waiting, but on New Year's Eve, there were customers waiting for takeout. There were 10 different tarts displayed in a circle, and everyone took photos together and chose their favorites to eat. Each tart was substantial, so everyone left full and satisfied with smiles on their faces! My parents were also pleased.

There is a cute cake shop along the Takase River in Kyoto, called Kilfebon Eat-in. The waiting time is long, but you can buy takeout without waiting too much. They have a lineup of Kyoto-exclusive and seasonal cakes, so it's fun to see. I bought five types: Mont Blanc for 961 yen, Strawberry and Condensed Milk Tiramisu for 799 yen, Strawberry Tart for 1026 yen, Seasonal Fruit Tart for 928 yen, and Kyoto-exclusive Black Zou Kinako and Hojicha Tart for 864 yen. They were all delicious. The tart crust is crispy, and even though they look big, they are light to eat because they are full of fruits. Kilfebon is a reward cake shop.

I went to the Kyoto branch of Qu'il Fait Bon because I was accompanying someone at the Minamiza Theater in Sanjo. The wait time for dining in was 120 minutes, which was incredible. However, I decided to get takeout instead. There was quite a line, but it was much better than in Osaka Umeda, and I was able to buy it quickly.

Around 4 p.m. on a weekday, there was a 60-minute wait posted outside, but when I asked the staff, they said it probably wouldn't be that long. They gave us a waiting number ticket, and we chose our cakes. I had the fig and Gorgonzola tart, and my companion had the red berry tart. We ordered coffee and Earl Grey tea. We were able to sit down right away as a table became available. The tables were small, but each one faced the Takase River, making it a lovely atmosphere. It wasn't spacious, but it was a nice space. Soon, our tarts and drinks were served. The fresh figs were subtly sweet and delicious. The Gorgonzola flavor was mild with a generous amount of cream, which I found a bit heavy. There was walnut and fig compote at the bottom of the tart, adding to the enjoyable texture. The coffee was also delicious. It had been a long time since I last visited (15 years!), and while it didn't quite have the same impact as before, it was still tasty and satisfying. Thank you for the meal!

I always get takeout cakes for my birthday. I've tried various ones, but fruit tart is my favorite. The interior of the restaurant has a cute atmosphere and the location along the Takase River is great. It's always crowded. It used to be cash only, but I'm glad they now accept credit cards.

I purchased a cake from Kilfebon for the first time in a while. It was for my son's birthday, and since I couldn't go to buy it due to work, I gave him money and he chose this cake. I gave him 2500 yen for three people, but it seems like it wasn't enough, haha. It's still expensive as usual. They had Berry Tart, Fig Tart, and Melon Tart. I chose the Fig Tart, but it seems like the Melon was expensive. Lately, I haven't been eating cakes that much, so I think if I'm going to spend the same amount of money, I might enjoy a parfait or something more. Thank you for the meal.

Kilfebohn is a well-known place. It's been years since I last visited. I saw Kilfebohn on TV the other day and suddenly craved it, so I ended up buying Lemon Tiramisu, Peach and Nectarine Almond Mousse Tart, Fig Shortcake Tart, Peach and Cheese Tart, Red Fruit Tart, Strawberry Tart, and a seasonal limited edition tart. The fruits are indeed fresh and delicious.

When it comes to KIRIFEBON for me, I always choose between 1) seasonal fruit tart, 2) red fruit tart, and 3) cream cheese tart. The cream cheese tart is a must-have for me when gathering with many friends. I hadn't been there in a while, but when I went nearby, I suddenly felt like eating it, so I took a break at KIRIFEBON ❤️ It's been so long, and I thought it used to be around 450 yen before, but I keenly felt the impact of the price increase... but it's still delicious ❤️ It's just like I remembered ❤️ The eat-in space is small, so if you mistime it, the waiting time can be very long, but this day I was able to get in smoothly and was lucky ✨ I'll come back to eat again.

As it is located near Sanjo's Takase River, you can park at a nearby public transportation or parking lot. When the restaurant is crowded, there may be a limit on the number of people allowed inside. It's best to catch a waiter before heading to the cashier, especially during peak dining times. Due to the layout of the building, the register can be in a blind spot, and it gets even more crowded... Now, the cost performance is on the lower side, but it's all about the atmosphere and brand appeal. It's enjoyable to order from the showcase, and the menu changes with the seasons, so it's delicious no matter when you visit. Personally, I like the parfait, but everything here is reliably tasty. You might even find yourself saying, "What a lovely weather!"

Located a 5-7 minute walk from Sanjo Station, Patisserie Qu'il Fait Bon Kyoto is a popular sweets shop known for its famous fruit tarts with long lines on weekends. As the tarts tend to sell out quickly in the evening, it's recommended to visit earlier in the day. In addition to indoor seating, they also have terrace seating, making it a great spot for a date during quieter times. I ordered the seasonal fruit tart, a perennial favorite that changes toppings according to the season. With over 10 different fruits like yellow peaches, white peaches, bananas, kiwis, strawberries, grapes, pineapples, oranges, blueberries, and dragon fruit paired with rich custard cream and crispy tart crust, it was a luxurious dessert offering a variety of flavors to enjoy. If you love classic tart cakes, be sure to give this place a visit. Bon appétit!

Visited for the first time around 2:07 PM on a Saturday in May 2022. "Kil Fe Bon Kyoto" is a fruit tart shop located about 3-4 minutes from the southeast exit of Kyoto City Hall subway station. It is a sweets shop originating from Shizuoka, which used to be located on the first floor of Matsuzakaya Minamikan in Nagoya in the past. I used to frequent it and quite liked it, but now there are no stores in Nagoya, so I haven't had the opportunity to visit for a long time. This time, I stopped by at the request of an acquaintance. Initially, I planned to purchase right after the store opened at 11:00, but upon arriving 5 minutes early, there was a line of over 10 people! I decided it would be impossible to purchase in a few minutes, so I finished my lunch plans first. When I returned, there were a few people waiting to dine in, but those for takeout could enter without waiting, so I lined up and checked out the showcase. This time, I purchased the following items for takeaway, considering the time it would take to bring them home and to maintain their quality: - Seasonal Fruit Tart ~Spring Version~: 860 yen - [New] 30th Anniversary Ginza Shop Original "Rinka" Shape Tart with "Echigo Hime" from Niigata Prefecture: 1,300 yen - "Momokun" Tart with "Momokun" from Shizuoka Prefecture: 1,200 yen for 3 slices, along with a portable insulated bag Gold S: 1,000 yen *All prices are excluding tax. It's appreciated that they can accommodate such arrangements. This time, I purchased souvenirs for acquaintances who work hard every day, so I didn't buy anything for myself, but next time, I plan to visit early and try dining in.

I ordered takeout for the first time. There was zero wait at noon on a weekday (for dining in as well). I got the strawberry tart for 1200 yen (a limited-time offer) and the pistachio tiramisu tart. The box and paper bag were cute. The tart crust was different for the tiramisu one, it seemed to have cocoa in it. The taste was gentle. It was delicious.

This season is all about strawberries! As soon as you step inside the restaurant, wow! It's so beautiful! Strawberries everywhere in the glass case! Of course, there are other options besides strawberries. It's been years since I last visited this place. Maybe due to the impact of the pandemic, there are only four tables with limited seating. The customers include elderly couples, two men, two women, and solo diners. The desserts are not overly sweet, so even those who don't have a sweet tooth can enjoy them. Also, the portions are generous. The moment you taste it, you'll think, "Wow, delicious!" The combination of this deliciousness and the portion size is truly worth it. Even though I usually don't like tarts, I love the ones here! Thank you for the wonderful meal, including the takeout option!
