I heard rumors that the fried rice here is delicious, so I decided to try it out. It was really tasty. The fried rice was moist instead of dry and had a strong sweetness to it, making it different from other fried rice dishes I've had before. However, I didn't quite enjoy the miso ramen as it wasn't to my liking. I wish the customer service was a bit better.

I don't have a car, so I asked my brother who has one to take me there. He was happy to do so as he mentioned he wanted to go there for a while. I am currently into fried rice, and after reading good reviews, I decided to visit Ramen Daishi this time. Oh, it was delicious! The reviews were right. If there was a Daishi restaurant nearby, I would definitely go there frequently. It's that good! I will come back again... depending on my brother's mood, haha.

I visited during lunchtime and found parking available, so I was able to enter the store without waiting. I had ordered the fried rice set last time, and it seems like the ramen soup has evolved since the move. It was more to my liking, so this time I ordered the ramen with fried rice. I had to wait for about 10 minutes, and the fried rice came out first. It was delicious, with a unique flavor that is hard to describe but very enjoyable. The ramen had bean sprouts and a large slice of pork. The bean sprouts were crunchy, and the pork had a rich flavor. The soup had a delicious pork bone flavor. I would definitely want to visit this place again if I'm in the area.

I visited during lunchtime, so the restaurant was full of customers. The windows were wide open for good ventilation. I ordered the fried rice set and ramen. The ramen was served in less than 10 minutes, followed by the fried rice. I had tried the ramen before the restaurant moved, and it seems that the soup has become richer and more flavorful than before. I used to prefer the lighter soup they had before the move... The fried rice had no ingredients in it, and I felt that the flavor was lighter compared to before the move.

One popular restaurant known for its delicious fried rice (Chahan) in Kitakyushu City is Ramen Daishi. Although I had heard of the name before, I had never been there myself. I decided to visit around 11:30 am, shortly after they opened, and already the parking lot was almost full, indicating its popularity. The interior of the restaurant was small, with about 8 seats at the counter and a few small tables. The atmosphere was typical of a local Chinese restaurant. The elderly couple and two women employees were chatting lively, while the owner was quietly cooking in the kitchen. I ordered the "Chahan" for 600 yen, which seemed to be their signature dish. The dish took about 7-8 minutes to be served, and it looked quite dark and fragrant, possibly from the Worcestershire sauce or soy sauce used. The rice was slightly firm, almost like Hakata ramen's firm noodles, and a bit oily, making it a bit heavy. However, it had a unique punchy flavor that was memorable. The overall texture was moist and the sweetness within the salty taste was intriguing. Although there was a lingering sweetness that was slightly cloying, the dish had a well-rounded and satisfying taste. Personally, I found it to be a bit subtle, but overall, it was a decent dish. My personal rating on Tabelog would be 3.4 out of 5.

Ramen Daishi used to be located along Route 3 in Hagiwara, with a temple-like atmosphere and a reputation for delicious fried rice among taxi drivers. I visited once, but the grandchildren of the owner were making a lot of noise in the kitchen and inside the restaurant, which left a bad impression. Despite moving to Ohira, the restaurant remains popular, so I decided to give it another try. I actually wanted to go to Kurosaki or Wakamatsu, but I didn't want to stray too far from Yahata IC. I also considered Ramen Chikara, which moved from Harumachi to Babayama, but having ramen after tonkatsu seemed too heavy. I ordered the fried rice, which was oily and sweet with plenty of lard, and had a unique sweetness from the generous amount of onions and bean sprouts. However, the oiliness made it a bit overwhelming as I ate more. I tried changing the taste with Fukujinzuke, but it was a bit too oily, especially after eating the tonkatsu set. It couldn't compare to the top three fried rice dishes in Hakozaki - Haruyokan, Nukomi no Oppai Yaki Meshi, and Kibou Dojo in Shime. Next, I want to visit Fukitei, a restaurant I've admired for 17 years since my time in Kitakyushu.

My number one fried rice (chahan) place is Ramen Daishi. I ordered the following: Chahan (fried rice) large serving for 700 yen tax included (600 yen + 100 yen for large serving). The seasoning is not salty but has a sweet soy sauce flavor, and the rice is cooked to a firm texture. The color is slightly brown. The ingredients in the fried rice are finely chopped pork, egg, onion, and carrot. The taste is perfect, but my only complaint is that there is no soup included. I have noticed regular customers ordering the Chahan set for 850 yen tax included, which includes a mini ramen with a simple pork bone broth. Other information: - There is a parking lot next to the restaurant that can accommodate 6 cars. - Although I ordered the large serving, a regular serving might be more balanced. - I first tried their fried rice about 27 years ago when the restaurant was located in Kurosaki, and I was impressed. I believe they relocated to their current location after that. Taste preferences may vary, but I recommend this place to fried rice lovers.

For lunch, I visited Ramen Daishi for the first time. There is a statue of Daishi-sama at the entrance of the shop, so I bowed before entering. Inside the shop, there is a kitchen and an L-shaped counter with a few table seats. The atmosphere feels like the Showa era with a TV playing in the background. The staff consists of three elderly people, one man and two women. I ordered fried rice and dumplings, which cost 950 yen in total. I watched the owner frying the fried rice in a wok, and the careful and thorough frying process was evident. The sound of the wok was soothing. The fried rice and dumplings arrived almost at the same time. The fried rice looked moist and simple with ingredients like egg, onion, and pork. It was oily and sweet, with a distinct flavor that made it quite enjoyable. Personally, I found it a bit too oily, but the sweetness and unique taste kept me interested. The dumplings were larger than usual, with a crispy exterior and a chewy skin. They were filled with vegetables only. Since the fried rice was oily, the vegetable filling in the dumplings balanced it out nicely. Despite the noticeable oiliness, the fried rice was quite unique and interesting. After the meal, I experienced some indigestion, but overall, it was a satisfying experience.

Lunch at Ramen Daishi in Yahata Nishi Ward. There is parking for 2 cars next to the store, but be careful as it is on a busy street. Inside the store, there are table and counter seats, but the view of the kitchen is a bit lacking. The basic menu includes ramen, champon, miso ramen, miso butter ramen, gyoza, and fried rice. They also offer set meals with noodles and gyoza, or fried rice with a mini ramen. I ordered the fried rice set. The fried rice with simple ingredients tasted good at first, but towards the end, it became too salty and overpowering, especially with too much pepper. This seasoning might be okay for a small portion, but it could get overwhelming for a regular size. The ramen had blanched bean sprouts, green onions, and one slice of chashu. The ramen itself was plain and unremarkable. I also noticed that they didn't have pickled ginger, which was unusual.

Ramen Taishi is famous for its fried rice. This was my third visit for work. A few years ago, I found the ramen too salty and the fried rice too peppery, which made me hesitant to return. However, I wanted to give it another chance, so I ordered the same fried rice set (fried rice and half ramen for 800 yen) as my last visit. The pork bone soup was light and the chashu had a strong umami flavor. The noodles were medium-thin straight noodles, overall giving off a traditional Kitakyushu ramen vibe. The bean sprouts were overcooked, which was disappointing. The fried rice was made with pork belly, egg, finely chopped onions, and carrots. It had a typical local Chinese restaurant flavor. I could do without the fukujinzuke. Thank you for the meal.

As of the third Tuesday in November 2018, this restaurant in Kitakyushu is ranked 110th out of 302 ramen shops, with a rating of 3.16 stars. Known for their popular Yakimeshi dish, this restaurant is a bit off the beaten path from Kurosaki, so it's recommended to drive there. Upon arrival, parking was a bit tricky due to the angle at which a previous car was parked, but eventually managed to park. The ramen was flavorful with a strong tonkotsu broth, while the Yakimeshi had a slightly charred taste and a firm texture. Overall, the restaurant is more known for its Yakimeshi than its ramen, and the flavors are on the salty side. The Yakimeshi is worth trying, especially if paired with the ramen broth.

Hakata Nishi-ku, Kitakyushu City. A ramen shop found while casually looking for lunch. There is a statue of Odaishi at the entrance... The interior has about 5 counter seats. And to my surprise, there are also about 5 counter seats at the back. Additionally, there are 3 table seats. I ordered the Fried Rice Set (800 yen), which comes with a mini ramen and fried rice. The mini ramen was extremely salty! I could really feel the saltiness. However, it eventually becomes addictive. After eating the noodles, it feels just right. The addition of bean sprouts seems to dilute the saltiness a bit, which is nice. The fried rice is moist but has a strong flavor. It's not like pilaf or porridge, but has a unique texture and weight. It's satisfying and delicious! The ramen soup comes in handy here! The fried rice soup! Fried rice, fried rice soup! This rhythm repeats. Oh man, if this place was closer to my home, it would be dangerous. I can't get enough of this no matter where I go!

Dahei, Yahata Nishi-ku, Kitakyushu City. It is located about 10 minutes by car from Kurosaki Station towards Chikuho on National Route 200. It is an old-fashioned ramen shop. The menu includes ramen (miso, tonkotsu), gyoza, fried rice, and champon, all of which are highly rated despite being few in number. This time, I ordered the most popular menu item, the fried rice (550 yen) and gyoza (300 yen). The gyoza arrived in about 8 minutes. The gyoza had a filling of leeks, pork, and carrots. I wonder if garlic was not used? The pork was firm and the skin was crispy, indicating a high level of quality. The fried rice arrived in about 10 minutes. This menu item is ordered by almost everyone at this shop. It consisted of egg, pork, green onions, and firm rice. It was incredibly delicious even though it did not use any unusual ingredients. It's definitely worth trying this fried rice. The prices are generally cheap and the portions are generous, so it's unlikely to exceed 1000 yen easily. The reason for the popularity of the fried rice can be understood with the fried rice set. Usually, the ramen portion is normal and the fried rice portion is small, but at this shop, it's the opposite. By the way, they offer ramen set meals, but not ramen sets. Thank you for the meal.

Only one fried rice! Ramen Taishi: Yahatanishi-ku, Kitakyushu City. Visited on December 27, 2016. This is the last article of last year! I felt like eating fried rice after a long time, and the first thing that came to mind was this place!! They have a unique fried rice at "Ramen Taishi." The restaurant is located along National Route 200 Bypass. The curtain is swaying in the wind (laughs), but I was hungry, so I hurried inside!! I sat at the counter in the back and immediately ordered the "Fried Rice Set (¥800)" (ramen with firm noodles). It was lunchtime! Most customers ordered fried rice, so the "oyassan" was very busy flipping the frying pan!! And here it is━━━d(゜∀゜)b━━━!! The fried rice set. I actually don't need the mini ramen (laughs), but I end up ordering it for the soup (laughs). Here is the mini ramen that I will start with. I always start with the noodles! (laughs) The noodles are firm because I asked for firm noodles! The soup also has a taste that I quite like. However, I want to enjoy the soup with the fried rice, so I leave it for later (laughs). Here is the fried rice! I sprinkle pepper and grated garlic on it and enjoy. "So delicious!" (laughs) This taste can only be experienced here. The only downside is that it's far from my home. If it were closer, I would want to visit this fried rice place at least once a week!!
