I went on a two-night, three-day solo trip to Hokkaido in the summer. I rented a bicycle from the tourist information center at the station and went sightseeing around Yoichi's historical buildings. The first place I visited was this roadside station. To be honest... it felt a bit lonely to call it a roadside station ^^; Here, I tried the seventh Hokkaido soft serve ice cream. ◆Pumpkin Soft Serve Ice Cream 400 yen It was served in a cup only. The soft serve ice cream with pumpkin was incredibly rich and delicious. Bon appétit!

When you think of Yoichi, you think of apples. Before arriving at the roadside station, I indulged in an apple pie by myself. When I went to the restroom, my partner had already bought it for me. The apple pie here is slightly warm and delicious. The pie has a soft and crunchy texture. It was a bit nerve-wracking to eat in the car, so I enjoyed it on the bench outside. The apples were not overly sweet, just to my liking. Every time I pass by this area, I crave this taste. Visited in June 2023.

This is Yoichi in Hokkaido. It's close to Sapporo and famous for Nikka Whisky. The Nikka Whisky distillery tour is currently by reservation only. This roadside station is my second visit. Last time I didn't buy anything, so this time I have to buy something haha. Yoichi is famous for its fruits. You often see fruit-based alcohol like wine and cider. Today I bought an apple pie. The warm apple pie has a crispy crust. The natural sweetness of the apple is really good. The hint of cinnamon is also nice. Truly a fruit-producing area! It might be nice to come back in autumn to buy fruits. Thank you for the meal.

On June 16, 2022, during my first day of the early summer trip to Hokkaido, I visited "Michi-no-Eki Space Apple Yoichi," located along Route 229 near the junction with Route 5. It is known for its unique space-themed atmosphere, which is inspired by the fact that the first Japanese scientist astronaut, Mamoru Mohri, hails from Yoichi Town. The roadside station features the Yoichi Space Memorial Museum "Space Yume" and a direct sales store for local agricultural products, making it a one-of-a-kind Michi-no-Eki. The retro exterior of the shop made me wonder if it was really a roadside station. Inside, there was a spacious wine corner showcasing a variety of wines, fitting for Yoichi Town, famous for its wines. I wanted to visit the Yoichi Space Memorial Museum "Space Yume," but unfortunately, I missed the opening hours while shopping at the roadside station. The front of the museum had handmade space shuttles and Hayabusa 2 on display, so I managed to take some photos at least.

Today, I visited a client in Kutchan, and then went to see the autumn leaves at Niseko Goshiki Onsen. However, as we went higher up, we entered into the clouds. Around Yunosato Onsen, everything was surrounded by pure white clouds! What a day! Despite this, I enjoyed soaking in the hot springs and then headed back. As usual, I stopped by here and bought the "Apple Pie" as always. It was 10 yen more expensive than before. It was crispy and the pie crust scattered around energetically, just like my buddy (laughs). As always, it was packed with apples, not too sweet, and had a hint of cinnamon, making it delicious. Thank you for the meal!

In October, on the way back from visiting the Ochigabi Winery in Yoichi from Sapporo, I stopped by another place I had been wanting to visit. I came here to buy the "Yoichi Beer" that I had seen in the magazine "HO" (I seem to be buying a lot of alcohol this day, first wine and now beer, haha). It's the Yoichi Road Station Space Apple at Yoichi. It had a nostalgic feel to it, like a traditional road station, but at the same time, Yoichi is an interesting town with various eateries and people who have moved here to start their own businesses. I bought some Yoichi prunes at the direct sales vegetable shop on the premises before heading to the store. As I glanced at the Yoichi Space Memorial Museum, which is astronaut Mamoru Mohri's hometown, I made my way to the store. At the entrance of the store, there was a man trying to attract customers, and he was promoting a product called "Soran Ball." It piqued my curiosity (haha). When I searched online, I found out that it is a small croquette called "Soran Ball" made by crushing pickled herring mixed with mashed potatoes and curry flavor to make it easier for young people and tourists to enjoy the taste of Yoichi. It is a limited-time offer only available on weekends and holidays until the end of October. I bought it (^o^)丿★ Soran Ball @ 390 yen / 5 pieces. It looks like a slightly curry-flavored round croquette. When I tried it, the moist texture of the batter and the subtle curry flavor, along with the taste of pickled herring, created a harmonious flavor that made me go "oh, I see." It's easier to eat and more enjoyable in this round shape than the typical rectangular croquette. I also tried it with the accompanying sauce, but I felt that it was flavorful enough on its own. While purchasing the Yoichi Beer I came for, I unexpectedly tried this unique local dish that is part of the town's revitalization efforts. Through these limited-time initiatives, it's great to see increased awareness and recognition. As a side note, the prunes were also delicious. Thank you for the meal (^o^)丿

Tabelog Yoichi Tour Part 3 ♪ After having soup curry and conveyor belt sushi, my stomach is already full :(;゙゚'ω゚'): But I don't want to end at just two places haha. So, I stopped by here for a break. I bought an apple pie inside the store and a cola from the vending machine outside. The aluminum cola bottle is a Hokkaido exclusive♪ The red color really stands out (^^♪ Apple Pie with plenty of apples for 320 yen. This really has a lot of apples and is delicious♪ But even eating one of these is tough on the stomach (^^; Thanks for the meal haha ===========

I visited because I was nearby. I have been here before a long time ago. It's not located along the national highway, so I don't have many opportunities to stop by. It hasn't changed at all since the last time I was here. This time, I bought an "Apple Pie." The apple pie here is delicious. I remember buying it before. The size of one piece is big and the taste is delicious too! I personally love it!! I want to come back to buy it again. Thank you for the meal٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶

The roadside station in Yoichi is named Space Apple, but it's like a bonus space museum and quite shabby. The only thing known there is the apple pie, but they don't have many so you might miss out. Two people bought some before us, and we got three, leaving only about five left. The apple pies were well-baked and delicious with just the right amount of sweetness. But is that all they have to offer? Right next to Japan's proud Nikka Whisky distillery with plenty of tourists, this is disappointing.

I stopped by a roadside station in Yoichi for a toilet break during work. I was disappointed to find that they didn't have the "Apple Pie a la Mode" that I was hoping for. The selection of items on the shelves was limited and looked lonely. I ended up choosing a fruit juice from the many options available, and after much deliberation, I settled on the "Grape Juice @432". It had a nice balance of acidity and sweetness and was delicious! However, it was a bit pricey. I wonder if they sell apple pie during the winter... I really like the apple pie they have here. Thank you for the meal.

Nocchimu-san and I went on an expedition to Yoichi. After eating a parfait, we headed to the Yoichi Michi-no-Eki (roadside station). Since I hadn't been there before, I was curious, and it seemed like Nocchimu-san had something on his mind as well, so it was a good opportunity to check it out. We wandered around the facility for a bit. I was interested in space food, but decided to skip it this time. I looked for apple products instead. As expected in Yoichi, there were plenty of apple products in the store. Apple juice from various places made it hard to choose. We each bought apple juice for ourselves and some as souvenirs. I bought a Hack 9 apple juice, which I tried in the car. The juice had a strong natural sweetness of apples without much acidity, making it very easy to drink. I tried the Jonagold apple juice at home later. It had a rich flavor and sweetness of apples, but a refreshing acidity that left a clean aftertaste. I hadn't paid much attention to apple juice before, but there are such differences in taste. There were other types of apple juice available, so I'd like to try comparing them next time. Thank you for the meal!

I would like to express my condolences to those affected by the recent Hokkaido Eastern Iburi earthquake. Yochi is famous for the Nikka Whisky Yoichi Distillery, as well as being the hometown of astronaut Mamoru Mohri and a leading apple-producing area in Hokkaido. The roadside station in Yochi, named "Space Apple Yoichi," offers a variety of food options, but the most famous is definitely the apple pie. Priced at 320 yen each, it may be slightly more expensive than regular apple pies, but it is worth it for the crispy, buttery flavor and the abundance of slightly tart, mildly sweet apples inside. When visiting Yochi, a stop at the roadside station and the Nikka Whisky Yoichi Distillery are must-visit tourist spots. "Thank you for the meal."

In September 2018, I completed the Michi no Eki stamp rally with my daughter and mother during our trip to Hakodate. We first stopped at a place where we hadn't stamped yet, but since we had been there before, we didn't stay long. I bought some space food almond jelly that I wanted to try, and we ate it in the car right away. The almond jelly was interesting, but being freeze-dried, it made me thirsty. There were other items available as well, so if you're curious, trying them out might be a good idea, although they were quite pricey. Thank you for the meal.

The apple pie here has a good reputation, so three guys tried it. The crust is crispy, the apples are sweet and well-balanced! It's also quite filling. Yeah, it was just a really good apple pie! Thank you for the meal.

Snack break. Visited with family. Some thoughts:
- Located near Yoichi Interchange.
- Ordered vanilla ice cream.
- It had a high viscosity, which I like.
- However, despite being called vanilla, it tasted more like milk.
- Still, it was delicious.
