I previously introduced the favorite Chinese fried rice ("yakimeshi") at Donsanko in Nakasu Kawabata, Fukuoka city center, which I have been enjoying for over 30 years. Donsanko has now expanded with a second branch at Hakata Station and a third branch in Tenjin, showcasing the son's aggressive approach. I recently visited the newest branch in Tenjin. The convenience of having branches in the main areas of Fukuoka city - Nakasu Kawabata, Hakata Station, and Tenjin - is evident. When I visit Donsanko, I always order only the Chinese fried rice and nothing else. After finishing a meal at the new Tenjin branch, I felt that there was an excessive amount of onions this time. When I mentioned this to the staff at the register, they replied that the quantity can vary depending on the cook. This was a new experience for me, as the flavor was too overpowering due to the excessive amount of onions. As branches increase, it is common for some aspects to be overlooked, which is a risk in the food industry. I hope that the timeless Chinese fried rice at Donsanko will faithfully inherit the strictness and taste of the former head chef at the main branch in Nakasu Kawabata. The individual grains of rice should be flavorful and hot, with each grain separating, which is characteristic of Donsanko. I will visit again. Thank you for reading until the end. If you enjoyed this review, please like, follow, and save the restaurant. Thank you!

This is a set of salt butter ramen and half fried rice after a long time. The salt butter ramen is very delicious, but the fried rice, which is usually tasty, was quite salty and couldn't be eaten with sauce. I would like it to have a bit more consistency in flavor. I haven't been to the restaurant in Nakasu, so I would definitely like to go there. Maybe the taste varies depending on the cook.

I entered the restaurant alone around 6:00 PM. I paid 1,100 yen for a miso ramen and half fried rice set. The miso ramen had a bit too much green onion, but overall it was delicious. The fried rice had a crunchy texture with lots of ingredients, which was a new experience for me. Thank you for the meal.

To put it simply, this place is amazing! It's the third branch of a popular miso ramen restaurant in Hakata, which has been drawing long lines for decades. They have successfully maintained the quality of the original store, including their worry-free fried rice. When you visit Hakata, make sure to try their ramen, not just the tonkotsu (pork bone broth)!

Today, I visited a ramen shop located by the riverbank known for its miso ramen and fried rice. The shop has both counter and table seating, with a limited number of seats. Depending on the time, it may get crowded. Customers ranged from solo diners to groups. I ordered the "Special Soy Sauce Ramen" with half fried rice set and extra boiled egg. I chose soy sauce this time as I had tried miso at their other branch before. The soup was simple and refreshing, without any strange aftertaste, appealing to a wide range of palates. The addition of beaten egg differentiated it from a regular soy sauce ramen. The chashu was average, but the boiled egg had a nice flavor. The fried rice had a simple seasoning and tasty ingredients. Unlike the fried rice at their other branch, which had a rancid oil taste, this one was delicious. Overall, I enjoyed my meal.

On Saturday at 12 o'clock, I got off at the B1 elevator of Solaria Stage and saw an empty seat in front of the shop. It felt like a chance, so I went in, but I was asked to wait outside for a moment. After about 3 minutes, I was seated. This popular shop, loved for over 50 years in the Kawabata Shotengai, is known for its miso ramen which draws a crowd in Fukuoka, where tonkotsu ramen is dominant. The interior has a live counter seat and table seats. The staff are very energetic! I always order the "Special Miso Ramen". The difference from regular miso ramen is that the soup contains minced meat, which brings out the richness of the soup. It goes well with the specially ordered curly noodles, making it a dish you just can't resist. By the way, the elderly man at the next table ordered plate udon, which made me laugh inside. I was told that it is only available at the main store. I was surprised to see plate udon at a ramen shop!

I visited the Soraia Stage shop for the first time. I usually go to the shops in Nakasu Kawabata Shopping Street, but the Soraia shop was just as delicious. It was a Saturday, so by the time we left the shop, there was a long line in front of the store! It was a good thing we went at a slightly different time haha.

I had been planning to visit this place for a while, and since it recently opened in Tenjin, I decided to give it a try. I ordered the special ramen and half-fried rice set, which was only 50 yen more than the regular set. The fried rice is made per person, so the person next to me got theirs after the ramen, while I had to wait for my ramen first. I prefer eating together, so I waited for the ramen. The miso ramen was delicious, with plenty of bamboo shoots, thin bean sprouts, onions, two slices of chashu, and minced meat. The soup was just right, not too light or too heavy. The fried rice was a bit loose, but the rice was slightly firm. I liked how the ingredients were mixed well, adding a nice touch to the flavor. I would definitely want to come back again. Also, there was no explanation of what made it special, but it seems the minced meat is what makes it special. It's up to personal preference.

Salt ramen is incredibly delicious♪♪ I've been eating miso for almost 10 years. Lately, I've been enjoying soy sauce and salt more, and I always order butter on the side. It's really nice that it comes out piping hot! If I had to say something, the spoon is small and makes it hard to drink the soup. The fried rice is one of my top 2 favorites in Fukuoka♪♪♪

During the Golden Week period, the Tenjin area is extremely crowded not only with locals but also with tourists. Wanting to eat without waiting in long lines, my wife and I decided to try the recently opened "Hakata Kawabata Dosanko Solaria Stage Store" in the dining area on the B2F floor of Solaria Stage, where the turnover seemed relatively fast. Although there were about four people in line ahead of us, we were seated at the counter without much of a wait. The popular Fukuoka ramen shop "Hakata Kawabata Dosanko" is known for its miso ramen, but surprisingly, their shoyu ramen is also a hit. Intrigued by the combination of shoyu ramen and fried rice, we ordered the set with a half serving of fried rice. It took over 10 minutes from ordering to being served, but finally, our meal arrived. The combination of shoyu ramen and fried rice was a perfect match, as expected. The noodles were slightly thick and not the thin noodles preferred in Nagahama ramen, but they paired well with the rich chicken-based soup. The fried rice was also flavorful and satisfying. The half serving of fried rice turned out to be quite generous, and we ended up feeling very full. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

In a while series, the salted butter ramen and half-fried rice set is 1100 yen. The salted butter ramen is delicious as always. The fried rice is also famous for being delicious, making this set my favorite classic choice. I think this set is better than the soy sauce and miso ramen options.

This was my first visit. I thought the menu would be the same as the Kawabata store, but it was different haha. I ordered the miso ramen and half-fried rice that was recommended on YouTube. The miso ramen was even more delicious than I expected haha. I prefer thicker noodles and more oil, though. The fried rice was similar to the Kawabata store, I think? It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Miso ramen with half portion set (¥1,100) with butter and boiled egg toppings. Noodles were changed to firm. The rich miso flavor combined with the oil floating on the soup was full of umami. Adding butter made it even more flavorful! The slightly thick curly noodles were perfect when changed to firm, giving a chewy texture. This place seems to have the best salted butter. I definitely want to go back again.

I like all kinds of noodles and I also like ramen, but I don't like tonkotsu broth. I don't have many opportunities to eat ramen in Fukuoka, but recently I've noticed that there are more non-tonkotsu options available. I went to a shop called "Dosanko" in Nakasu Kawabata, thinking it might be Sapporo ramen because of the name. The restaurant was crowded, so I refrained from taking photos inside, and I forgot to take a picture of the exterior. There were counter seats and table seats, and a few women dining alone. Menu... My husband, who is from Hokkaido, says "When it comes to Sapporo ramen, it's not miso but soy sauce," but it seems like most people associate Sapporo ramen with miso. So, I chose the "Special Salt Ramen." The special version had more butter than I expected, which was nice. The chashu was thin and there were two slices. The noodles were curly noodles typical of Sapporo ramen. The soup was not too salty and had a smooth flavor, enhanced by the richness of the butter. The difference from the regular ramen was that it came with an egg, but maybe the basic version would have been just as good. There were condiments on the table, but I didn't use them. There was also grated garlic, which I didn't add. Overall, I enjoyed the salt ramen with its tasty soup and noodles. My husband might like this one.

Hakata Kawabata Dosanko Soraria Stage Store, the first store outside of Hakata? The specialty here is the non-pork bone ramen called Shura no Kuni. Despite being described as the first store outside of Hakata, it is actually located in Tenjin, which has a different historical background from Hakata. There was a short wait during lunchtime, about 10 minutes. I ordered the set menu with the classic miso ramen and was served promptly. The miso ramen had a light broth with a hint of miso flavor, which was delicious. The slightly thin and wavy noodles paired well with the soup. The toppings included pork loin, bamboo shoots, and sautéed vegetables like onions. The fried rice that came later was quite salty, perhaps a sign of aging? I wish they would go easy on the salt. Despite that, I finished everything. Takeout is not available, but they accept PayPay for payment. Thank you for the meal!

While wandering around Tenjin, I suddenly got really hungry and thought about getting ramen from a food stall, but it was too crowded to get in. Eventually, I found my way to the Hakata Kawabata Dosanko Solaria Stage store and quickly ordered the special ramen with half fried rice set, miso flavor. Of course, I also ordered a draft beer (laughs). After ordering, the fried rice arrived promptly. I was so hungry and it really helped! Dosanko's fried rice is delicious with lots of onions. When I had eaten about half of it, the ramen arrived. It was a cold day, so the slightly spicy miso warmed me up. Delicious! I was in a rush when I entered the store, but choosing Dosanko was the right decision. I would like to try the main store next time. Thank you for the meal.

I arrived around 2:30 pm on Saturday and was able to sit right away, but the place was always almost full. The miso ramen costs 750 yen, and the soup has a sweet miso flavor. The noodles are white, medium-thin curly noodles. The noodles lacked smoothness, possibly due to being a bit dry. I prefer noodles that are smoother. There were only a few bean sprouts as vegetables, so I thought adding cabbage or onions would give the soup more depth.

After leaving Nakasu Kawabata Station, I noticed a ramen shop called Edosanko Ramen located right in the Kawabata Street shopping arcade, so I decided to check it out. In Fukuoka, ramen shops mainly serve tonkotsu ramen, but here you can choose from three types of soup: miso, soy sauce, and salt butter. I was torn between them but ended up choosing the soy sauce soup for its refreshing taste. They also offer a special ramen option for just 50 yen more than the regular 750 yen ramen, so I went for the special ramen. The soup was light, the noodles were thick, and it was a different experience but delicious. I want to try the salt butter and miso next time. Thank you for the meal.

Today's lunch was at "Hakata Kawabata Dosanko" on the B2F of Solaria Stage. The time is 11:30. When they first opened, there was quite a long line, but it seems to have calmed down now. I am dining alone, so I sit at the available counter seat. It's cramped! (>_<) Both of the two counters have 5 seats each, with the minimum necessary width about the same as an adult male's shoulder width. There is no sense of spaciousness, and the acrylic boards for COVID-19 measures only add to the feeling of being cramped. Just making it 4 seats would make a big difference. I ordered the "Ramen + Half Fried Rice Set (1,000 yen, tax included)". For the ramen, you can choose from miso, soy sauce, or salt butter. I remembered the deliciousness of the "miso" ramen I had at the main store in Kawabata Shopping Street about 4 months ago, so this time I also requested "miso". The miso ramen arrived shortly, a bit spicy and delicious just like the main store. The thin slices of chashu are also the same. (laughs) It's interesting to see onions in addition to bean sprouts, Chinese chives, and leeks. About a third of the way through, the half fried rice arrived late. Just like when I ate at the main store. It didn't have to be so similar... (laughs) It has a nice crispy texture and is delicious. Taste-wise, it's at a level where I can't tell the difference from the main store with my own taste buds. However, the narrowness of the seats... The main store was not exactly spacious either, but there seems to be a subtle difference. If they reduce the number of counter seats, I might consider revisiting. Thank you for the meal.

On September 24, I felt like eating "yakimeshi" and decided to visit the newly opened "Hakata Kawabata Dosanko" at Solaria Stage in Tenjin. Unlike other places, here you order directly instead of using food tickets, but they don't have champon or plate udon on the menu. I ordered "yakimeshi" and a draft beer. I had high hopes for the "yakimeshi" with its crunchy vegetables bringing out a sweet and savory flavor, but unfortunately, the poorly prepared onions gave it a bitter taste. It was disappointing, especially since the "yakimeshi" at the Hakata Station branch is delicious. The bitterness lingered until the end. It seems that ramen is their specialty here. Keep in mind that "yakimeshi" is an additional menu item here.
