I had some extra time in my work schedule, so I made a detour for dinner. I visited "Ramen Shioji" at Shin-Osaka Station. This restaurant is located inside the Shinkansen ticket gates, so you need to use the Shinkansen or buy a ticket to enter, which can be a drawback. (Some places inside the gates will refund your ticket if you show it at the restaurant, but this one does not.) - Arrival time: 6:50 PM - Crowdedness: 60% I ordered the Kyujuu Negi Chashu Ramen (salt) with karaage set, and it arrived in 3 minutes. That was quick (laughs). Now, about the rumored Kyujuu Negi Ramen, there seems to be less negi (green onion) compared to photos from previous reviewers. The chashu also seems to be less. While the restaurant industry is still facing tough times, it's surprising that even the "negi" they promote is decreasing. The soup has a rounded flavor typical of whole chicken, with the aroma of Kyujuu negi blending in nicely. However, the saltiness was quite strong, almost too salty. It was tough to keep drinking until the end. The noodles were cooked to a soft texture. Despite seeming to decrease, it was quite a challenge to finish the meal, it was quite filling! And then, the star of the show, the fresh Kyujuu negi. Going beyond just a condiment, it played a big role! It added a spicy accent to the soup and provided a fresh texture. It even changed the taste without being a seasoning. Mixing it with the noodles was also good! The chashu, tender and with just the right amount of fat, was enticing like a bowl of white rice. It served as a substantial side dish! The karaage in the set wasn't very juicy, but it still paired well with the white rice! I could've gone for a large serving of rice, or rather a rice bowl (laughs). Now, let's head back and continue with work. Thank you for the meal.

Order: Cold salt ramen, fried rice set Located inside the Shinkansen station at Shin-Osaka, so it's not easily accessible, but I sometimes use it when traveling for business, etc. The Kujyo Negi Ramen is delicious, but this time I chose the summer limited cold ramen! The clear soup is refreshing with a strong flavor of salt and bonito broth, and it's delicious! The noodles are regular straight thin noodles. Thin noodles go well with cold soup. The restaurant is spacious and the service is not bad, so if you're taking the Shinkansen from Shin-Osaka Station, be sure to give it a try!

I visited "Ramen Shioji" in Yodogawa-ku, Osaka City for lunch for the first time. The restaurant is located next to the waiting room inside the Shinkansen ticket gate at JR Shin-Osaka Station, so you can only use it when using the Shinkansen or buying an entrance ticket. I arrived with three customers on a weekday around 11:25 am after a business trip. We had to wait about 7 minutes for a vacant table, and then we were seated. I ordered the Special Soy Sauce Ramen for 1,000 yen. It arrived in about 4 minutes. The soup is a chicken-based soy sauce with a hint of fish, and it comes with medium straight noodles. The toppings include Kujyo Negi, several slices of chashu, 2 sheets of seaweed, menma, and a seasoned egg. It's not as luxurious as the name "special" suggests, but given the price inside the Shinkansen ticket gate, it's a decent bowl of ramen. The taste is not bad, but it's just average. We also had the meat dumplings, which had a slightly chewy texture. We divided the 6 dumplings into 2 pieces each and found that was enough. This restaurant may not be the type you specifically seek out, but it's a safe choice when using the Shinkansen at Shin-Osaka Station.

Ramen shop at a station in the middle of the station passed through the ticket gate at Shin-Osaka Station. I didn't have much time, but the menu looked delicious, so I decided to go in. They recommended the Kujō Negi (green onion) ramen, but I ordered the special soy sauce ramen. It had a taste similar to Kyoto ramen. I was expecting the Kujō Negi to be more crunchy, but it was a bit dry. The bamboo shoots and chashu were decently tasty. The soup had a ginger soy sauce-like flavor. The noodle firmness was just right. It's the kind of ramen that's good for eating in the station when you're short on time.

I had a simple bowl of ramen after a long time. I don't understand why this place is so popular. Maybe it's because of its convenient location. I recommend it for those who just want to have a regular bowl of ramen. Being inside the Shinkansen station, the service is really fast.

Before heading out on a business trip, I wanted to have Doutor's beef kalbi Milan sandwich at Shin-Osaka Shinkansen station, but unfortunately they didn't have it at the Doutor store there. So, I had to look for something else quickly as I was short on time. I ended up choosing a ramen because it seemed less crowded and would be served quickly. I saw a Kyujo Negi Ramen with so much green onion piled on top that you couldn't see the noodles. It seems I have had it before according to previous posts, so it looks like I have a weakness for this kind of impact. You can choose between salt and soy sauce for the soup, and I opted for salt. The noodles were nothing special, but they surprisingly paired well with the salty soup and refreshing Kyujo Negi. Despite the decent portion size, I easily finished it all with the noodles and soup together. It was a satisfying meal. Bon appétit!

I wanted to eat something Kansai-style while waiting for the Shinkansen, so I visited this restaurant. I tried the Kyoto negi ramen. It was in the evening, and there were a few lively female customers drinking sake. The taste was okay. I felt that it had more volume and flavor compared to other Kyoto ramen I have had before!

"Ra-men Shioji" is a ramen restaurant operated by JR Tokai Food Service. It is located inside the Shinkansen ticket gate at Shin-Osaka Station, but you can use it without buying a ticket. However, since it is inside the ticket gate, non-Shinkansen users will need to return to the exit. The feature is a salt ramen based on a double soup of slowly boiled whole chicken and seafood dashi. The noodles are medium-thick straight noodles carefully selected from four types of domestic wheat, allowing you to enjoy the aroma of wheat. The interior of the restaurant resembles a soba shop with a Japanese-style atmosphere. There are counter seats and table seats, with a total of 43 seats. The staff are friendly and provide attentive service! Recommended menu is the Salt Ramen. The clear soup made from boiled chicken and pork bones creates a light yet flavorful salt taste. The noodles are medium-thick straight noodles with a wheat aroma that goes well with the soup. The topping of chashu comes in two types: pork belly and shoulder loin, both tender and juicy. Plenty of Kujo green onions are included, providing a crunchy texture and aroma. The Kujo Negi Chashu Men costs 1370 yen. This time, I ordered the Kujo Negi Chashu Men, which is a ramen with burnt soy sauce soup topped with plenty of Kujo green onions. The combination of the fragrant taste and aroma of the soup and Kujo green onions is excellent. The noodles are thick straight noodles with a good bite, and the chashu made from pork belly is tender and delicious!

I had some time before catching the Shinkansen back to Tokyo from Shin-Osaka Station, so I stopped by "Ramen Shioji" inside the station. I ordered the "Kujyo Negi Ramen (soy sauce) with extra noodles." As the name suggests, it was topped with plenty of Kujyo negi (leeks) and was very delicious!

Ramen restaurant inside the Shinkansen ticket gate at Shin-Osaka. The spacious layout makes it easy to enter even with large luggage. I tried the most popular Kyuju Negi Ramen Shoyu for 1100 yen. You can choose between soy sauce and salt. The Kyuju Negi is piled high as shown in the photo. The menu says they use carefully selected domestically grown wheat for the medium-thick straight noodles, but they are actually quite thin. The soup is made from slowly simmered whole chicken, but the soy sauce flavor is strong while the chicken flavor is not as pronounced. The soup, which is relatively salty, lacks depth, but it is completed by the generous amount of Kyuju Negi. It's understandable why it's the most popular. The convenient location may make me visit again in the future!

I ordered the 九条ねぎ (Kujyo Negi) ramen with shoyu flavor, which cost almost 1000 yen. When I asked for recommendations, I was told both options were good, but I ended up choosing shoyu. The ramen was topped with a lot of green onions, making it hard to see the noodles. Under the onions, there were also bean sprouts, and the chashu was soft and delicious. The noodles were thin and tasty when mixed with the green onions.

Before my business trip to Tokyo, I had some time to visit this restaurant. I wasn't expecting much since these types of places are usually known for their working meals rather than delicious food, but this place exceeded my expectations. However, the strong taste of the green onions, which is their specialty, was a bit overpowering. I will have to go back and see if it's better next time. I really enjoyed both the noodles and the soup.

Before boarding the Shinkansen, I stopped by this place called "Ramen Shioji" in Osaka for a meal. The restaurant was mostly empty, so I decided to go in. After having some negiyaki, I asked the staff for a light recommendation and ended up ordering the "Pure Salt Ramen." It was already past 8:30 PM, and I wondered if there were more people heading to or coming from the Shinkansen at this time. Without waiting long, the ramen arrived. I took a sip of the soup, and it was quite plain, lacking in flavor. The noodles were also just average. Let's finish this quickly and head back to Tokyo. Thank you for the meal.

I had some time at Shin-Osaka Station, so I decided to stop by. I had miso ramen with extra toppings. The menu said "straight noodles," but they were curly noodles. The soup seemed a bit lacking and lukewarm, but overall it was tasty and had a normal flavor.

I visited a salt ramen specialty shop called "Shioji" located inside Shin-Osaka station. The shop is located where an old shop called Kotan used to be, and its distinctive triangular pyramid-shaped containers are quite impressive. The ramen served in these containers, resembling Jomon pottery, looks appealing at first glance. I ordered the Kujyo Negi Ramen, but due to the shape of the container, I couldn't reach the noodles and soup until I finished the negi. Also, the amount of soup was on the smaller side. The soup was described as clear broth, but I felt it was a bit lacking to fully appreciate its characteristics. I don't plan on revisiting this place.

There is a ramen restaurant inside Shin-Osaka Station. I was looking for a place to eat before taking the Shinkansen back home, as I thought a bento box would be too plain. There are many dining options outside the Midosuji Line exit of Shin-Osaka Station, but I was short on time, so I headed back into the Shinkansen station. There are udon, tempura, okonomiyaki, and other eateries inside. After having udon and takoyaki a few times, I decided to try the ramen restaurant. I ordered a draft beer and their special miso ramen. The beer arrived quickly, followed by the miso ramen. It was impressive how fast they served the food, being inside a Shinkansen station. Thanks to that, I had plenty of time to catch my train, feeling satisfied and relaxed. Thank you for the meal!

I used this ramen shop for dinner on my business trip back. It is located inside the Shinkansen station in Shin-Osaka. I had been curious about it for a while. I was seated at the counter and first glanced at the menu. They seemed to be promoting the Kujyo Negi Ramen, but it was sold out when I visited. So, I ended up ordering the Special Soy Sauce Ramen with a side of fried chicken. After ordering, it only took 5 minutes for the food to arrive. Quite efficient operation. The toppings on the Special Soy Sauce Ramen included chashu, green onions, menma, naruto, and a firm-boiled seasoned egg. The noodles were medium-thin straight noodles. The soup seemed to be a clear chicken broth base. The taste was decent, just a regular soy sauce ramen. The green onions were delicious. The seasoned egg being firm-boiled was a bit of a letdown. The fried chicken set came with a mixed spice that was oddly chili pepper-based, which didn't really go well with the fried chicken. The convenience of using this place after a business trip is excellent, so next time I'll definitely go for the Kujyo Negi Ramen for a rematch. Thank you for the meal.

While waiting for the Shinkansen at Shin-Osaka Station, I was undecided on what to eat until I saw a display for a green onion-heavy ramen and decided to go in. It was lunchtime but I was able to be seated right away due to it being a weekday. I ordered the Kujyo Negi Ramen, which came with a choice of soy sauce or salt broth. I chose soy sauce without hesitation. When the ramen arrived, I was surprised to see even more green onions on top than in the display. The green onions were delicious and I enjoyed mixing them with the soup as I ate. It took a while to reach the noodles because of the abundance of green onions, but once I did, I found other toppings like bean sprouts. The soup itself was tasty, but with the generous amount of green onions, a slightly richer broth might have been even better. Overall, I enjoyed the meal.

I revisited Ramen Shioji in the Shinkansen concourse at Shin-Osaka Station after almost a year. It's a perfect spot to grab a quick bowl of ramen before traveling, and the location is great, although it can get crowded. This time, I tried the Kujo Negi Ramen (salt). The bowl was covered with plenty of Kujo green onions, a dream for green onion lovers. The base was a light soup made with a combination of chicken and pork bones. The flavor was smooth, with a hint of sesame coming through prominently, along with a hint of seafood. The large amount of green onions enhanced the flavor, and the pepper was a nice touch. However, it felt a bit too salty. Without the green onions, it might have been even saltier. Ramen Shioji is a fast-food style ramen shop that you can conveniently enjoy. Thank you for the meal.

I ordered the salt ramen with green onions and fried rice. The salt ramen had a strong salty flavor, while the fried rice had a bold soy sauce taste. It seemed like the soup was so salty to match the season of getting warmer and sweating. The noodles were chewy and delicious. Thank you for the meal.

After finishing drinking at Shin-Osaka station, I entered the Shinkansen ticket gate and had to wait for 15 minutes, so I visited this ramen shop for the first time in 5 years. I ordered the Kyujo Negi Shio Ramen, which is the same as last time but with salt this time. The soup, which is mainly a clear broth of animal origin, is light with a savory salt flavor. The noodles are medium-thin and straight, made from domestically produced wheat. The thinly sliced Kyujo Negi mixed in and the delicious chashu on top of the bowl are like a single flower blooming. The chashu was quite thick and satisfying to eat. Underneath the abundant Kyujo Negi, there are also bean sprouts hidden. I quickly finished the whole bowl.
