When it comes to the best place to end your night in Minami, it has to be "Kinryu Ramen"! The restaurant may have a hot and stuffy interior, and the food may not be the most delicious, but it is known for its free garlic, kimchi, and leeks. However, there is some shocking news - the prices have increased from 600 to 800 yen. Despite this, when in Minami, you must try a bowl of ramen at "Kinryu Ramen"! The addictive tonkotsu soup is simply amazing! I have been coming here for 27 years, and this place is the origin of my ramen experience in Kansai. The not-so-tasty rice becomes delicious when soaked in the soup! And the free garlic, kimchi, and leeks are seriously good! Even though the prices have gone up, I will continue to visit this place! Thank you as always! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

After checking out at 10 am, they serve breakfast here with just one staff member but still manage to fill all the seats, thanks to their efficient system. They also know the perfect timing for price increases. The owner seems to have a keen eye for business, focusing on revenue and profits rather than just the taste of the food. This makes them much more impressive than your average delicious ramen shop. #OsakaMinami #NambaBesideKagetsu #NambaSennichimaeShop #OsakaMinamiSoulFood #OsakaRamen #KinryuRamen

Arrived at 08:35, seated at 08:40, served at 08:40 (Sunday). A ramen shop that rules Minami? Laugh. One of Osaka's famous gourmet foods. If you walk around Dotonbori and Namba, there are ramen shops everywhere! How about ending your drinking night with this? Visited Kinryu Ramen for morning ramen next to Namba Grand Kagetsu.
A pork bone-based ramen with plenty of sesame oil. Enjoy the medium-thin noodles smoothly! Toppings and rice are free for self-service. Customize with spicy kimchi, leeks, garlic as much as you like. It's good for a fun night out, but if you have plans after, maybe go easy on it. Did they use this much sesame oil before? Prices have gone up compared to before (inevitable), but at ¥800 with rice and toppings included, the cost performance is still high.
Thank you for the meal.

The morning after a hangover visit. I used to go out for food late at night, but I no longer have that kind of energy. Every few years, when the timing somehow aligns, I go to a nearby restaurant. This time, it was here, next to the takoyaki shop near NGK. Kinryu has a strong smell reminiscent of tonkotsu, but the soup is quite light. It costs 800 yen. Considering the all-you-can-eat kimchi, leeks, and rice (I don't eat that much), and the location, it's quite cheap. When your head is numb from alcohol or you're feeling dizzy from a hangover, you can eat this ramen with peace of mind.

First ramen in Osaka was at Kinryu. After watching comedy at Namba Grand Kagetsu, we were so hungry we impulsively visited. It was delicious. Old-fashioned tonkotsu ramen with thin noodles. Add garlic and leeks for addictive junkiness, rice goes well too, and I like the atmosphere of the shop. A ramen that goes well even after drinking. It would have been perfect with bottled beer. Not recommended for those who are particular about cleanliness or prefer clean ramen. It was a retro-style shop. Thank you for the meal!

The long-awaited Kinryu Ramen. I usually don't like strong saltiness, but surprisingly it was light and delicious, easy to eat. I understand why they have customers non-stop even though they are open 24 hours. I didn't try the rice, but the fact that kimchi and leeks are all-you-can-eat is attractive. If I had visited this place during my student days, I might have changed as a person.

I visited this place for the first time in about 10 years and was impressed by the system where you can adjust the flavor yourself by adding kimchi and garlic chives. I had not been here in a while, but it was still delicious. The best seats are by the entrance where the air conditioning hits directly, so it's recommended to sit there during hot summers. The rice is all-you-can-eat, so you can eat until you're full. Thank you for the meal!

As a way to end the night, I visited a well-known restaurant near Namba Grand Kagetsu. I had always been curious about this place, as I had never tried their ramen before. The atmosphere was unique, with tables having tatami mats instead of chairs. It seemed to attract a lot of foreign visitors, with only a few Japanese customers. It was self-service, where you buy a ramen ticket for 800 yen, choose your seat, and submit the ticket at the counter. The ramen arrived quickly, and the pork bone soup was delicious. However, the noodles were disappointing - they were chewy and seemed undercooked. I added some free toppings like garlic chives and kimchi, which improved the taste. The free rice, on the other hand, was soggy and unappetizing. The lack of customer care and the impersonal service made me feel sad. It felt like a fast-food court rather than a traditional ramen shop. I hope that other branches of this restaurant provide a better experience. If there are fans of this place, I apologize for my honest review.

When walking in Dotonbori, you will always come across this ramen shop. I decided to stop by at 9 in the morning to grab something to eat. The menu only offers two options: ramen for 800 yen and chashu noodles for 1,100 yen. You purchase a ticket at the vending machine by the entrance, hand it to the hardworking staff in the kitchen, and then wait for your order. The seating is not chairs, but tables on raised platforms with tatami mats. Rice, leeks, kimchi, and grated garlic are self-service and all-you-can-eat. Since I visited in the morning, I refrained from the garlic... The ramen itself is a light tonkotsu flavor. This ramen shop is unique for being open 24 hours, aiming to offer a taste that can be enjoyed at any time of day, including breakfast. If you find the flavor too light, you can add leeks, kimchi, and grated garlic. It may not be suitable for those seeking an authentic taste, but it's a great place to enjoy one of Dotonbori's specialties.

Gold Dragon Ramen Ramen 800 yen
Gold Dragon Ramen, a staple of Osaka's finishing ramen. They healed the depressed middle-aged men who had been drinking at a sober shop and then were ripped off at their sister's shop. I don't know, but this after drinking, it's the best tasting thing ever! Adding garlic chives for an extra punch, making it even better! Enjoying a fun noodle experience while chatting with a young Italian man at the next table. It was delicious! Thank you for the meal.

Back in my student days, I used to frequent this restaurant on my way back from work. It's been decades since then... Gold Dragon still has that nostalgic, junky flavor that I love. It's completely different from the trendy, high-consciousness ramen shops these days. Mixing the free kimchi and pickled garlic chives with the free rice is a must. A nostalgic and delicious ramen shop. Long live Gold Dragon.

When you come to Minami, you'll want to eat at this standing bar where you can drink and eat to your heart's content. I had almost reached my limit, but I had some time before the Yoshimoto New Comedy show started, so I ended up going in after seeing the sign. I ordered the 3-item set (kimchi, chives, garlic) and even added rice. The ramen was light and had a great taste as always. I ate about half of it before adding the 3-item set. The flavor change was delicious! Lastly, I added rice to make it into a rice soup ramen. Thank you for the meal.

Today, I went out for drinks with my colleagues Potatoes, Macaroni, and my junior Cholegi. We ended up at Namba and decided to finish the night with ramen. It had been years since I last had Dragon Ramen. The broth was pork bone-based and the noodles had a nice chewy texture. I was a bit drunk, but even so, I enjoyed the combination of free toppings like leeks, chili peppers, and chopped garlic kimchi. The noodles were chewy, the broth was light, but the flavors intensified with the toppings. I don't know why, but I really liked it. I think I'll come back here whenever I'm in Namba. Tomorrow, I'll probably smell like garlic. Tomorrow is another day, so thank you for the feast.

Ramen for ¥800! The noodles, soup, and chashu are all perfect, but when the chef is a foreigner, there can be some inconsistencies in the final product. The light tonkotsu soup with plenty of garlic added, and I also added some negi kimchi for extra flavor. I finished the soup completely while sweating. Namba = Kinryu!

After watching a movie, feeling a bit peckish on the way home, we decided to try out Kinryu Ramen for the first time. We live in Osaka, and although we've passed by the shop many times, we've never actually been inside. Today, my husband and I came together. The shop operates on a ticket system, where you hand over your ticket to the staff in the kitchen and receive a red card with a number on it. There's no specific seating arrangement, so you can sit wherever there's an open spot. Some younger guys were sitting with their shoes on, giving the place a bit of a dirty feel. Rice, kimchi, leeks, and garlic are all self-serve and unlimited. I tried the leeks and kimchi, but the kimchi was quite spicy. If you're not a fan of spicy food, you might want to skip it. After a while, your number is called and you go to the kitchen to pick up your ramen. The taste was spicier than expected, with a strong pepper flavor. The pork bone soup was on the lighter side. The noodles were straight and medium-thick, giving off a street food ramen vibe. It's good for a post-drinking meal, but maybe not the best choice when sober. The strong flavor will make you very thirsty. For those who haven't tried it before, it might be worth a try at least once.

I am "Noronori" who mainly walks around eating lunch in Sakai. I love the ramen from Kinryu Ramen. When I see it in Minami while walking, it's hard to resist the urge to eat it. Just go ahead and eat it! Their unique style with tatami on the table, I wonder if other places have it too? Maybe only Kinryu Ramen? You can sit formally or sit sideways, no need for chairs, which is a big advantage. Spicy garlic, leek, and Chinese cabbage kimchi are free ( `ー´)ノ This three-item set is unbeatable! Kinryu Ramen is delicious as always. Thank you for the meal.

I visited Kinryu Ramen in Osaka after a wedding reception. It was the perfect place for a late-night bowl of ramen after drinks. Although I had seen the restaurant before in Osaka, this was my first time actually eating there. It was a great experience to finally try their ramen. They are open late, so it's a great spot for a post-drinks meal.

After finishing sightseeing, I escaped from the hotel late at night and visited a ramen shop called Kinryu Ramen in the vicinity of Namba. It has been around for about 40 years, originally starting as an udon shop from a food stall. Namba is known for this type of ramen. The shop has a traditional tatami seating area and retains a street food vibe. The ramen had a pork bone broth aroma but was not very greasy, with a rather refreshing taste. You can customize the flavor by adding spicy leeks, kimchi, garlic, etc., gradually transforming it from a light base to a more indulgent taste. I thought this is how you enjoy their ramen. They are open 24 hours, making it a suitable spot for a slightly indulgent bowl of ramen as a late-night meal after drinking.

Around 10 AM on a Sunday. Next to Wanaka is Kinryu, a first-time visit. The meal costs ¥800 and comes with rice, leeks, kimchi, and garlic as complimentary sides. While waiting for the noodles to cook for about 5 minutes, I enjoy these sides. The soup is so thin that it's hard to tell if it's pork bone broth. Honestly, it's not very tasty. However, when you add the leeks, kimchi, and garlic, it transforms the rough soup into something surprisingly delicious. I think it's good for those who like to customize their ramen. The noodles are thin and lack any wheat flavor, almost like somen noodles. There are definitely better options available in supermarkets. But the thin soup pairs well with the weak noodles. The toppings consist of about 4 slices of pork loin chashu and some fatty meat. There's plenty of green onions, and the overall impression is positive. The meat has a distinct flavor and aroma, with noticeable fibrous texture, but it adds to the charm of the place. The cleanliness of the restaurant is questionable, but it exudes a local atmosphere. The large open entrance, the tired old man, and the husbands returning from a night out all contribute to the warm and welcoming vibe of the place.

I have been to Kinryu in Dotonbori many times, but this was my first time at Sennichimae. It had been over ten years since my last visit to Kinryu. I always think of Kinryu as the place for stamina ramen in Osaka. When I walked in, I was surprised to see table seating instead of the usual stand-up style in Dotonbori. The layout with two-person tatami mat seating arranged like a checkerboard was interesting. Perhaps this is a social distancing measure due to the pandemic? I bought my meal ticket at the vending machine by the entrance. I ordered the ramen for 800 yen, which came with unlimited kimchi, garlic chives, garlic, and rice. It may have become more expensive since my last visit, but it felt cheap in today's world. I handed my ticket to the counter in the kitchen and waited at my seat until the ramen was ready. The ramen came with a camel-colored tonkotsu soy sauce broth topped with chopped chashu, Kujyo green onions, and bean sprouts. I recommend adding kimchi and garlic chives for extra depth of flavor. It's not as spicy as it looks. The noodles are medium-thin straight noodles and have a light taste. You can enjoy it simply by putting kimchi on the rice, or try topping the kimchi with garlic chives, chashu, pouring the soup over it, and enjoy it as a Kinryu-style rice bowl, which is also delicious.
