I revisited the daily dining gourmet pork yakiniku restaurant, Octopus Yakushi branch, which is open until 2 a.m. I visited past 9 p.m. and it was full of customers. I received one person's portion of Premium Malt beer for 590 yen. For two people, we had the Shinshin from Yamagata Prefecture, a 150g chunk steak starting from 2,000 yen. I ordered the recommended 150g chunk of Shinshin beef from Yamagata, which is a tender part of the thigh. After grilling for 6 minutes, the staff cut it beautifully and served it in a soft and delicious steak. We also had the Kyoto beef heart with sansho pepper for 1,590 yen, grilled shabu-shabu for 990 yen, and a meat-filled curry for 690 yen to take home. The restaurant provides delicious cuts of branded beef at a reasonable price, carefully selected by the owner. This yakiniku restaurant is frequented by the famous chef who has won Michelin stars. I will definitely visit again soon.

Visited the restaurant after making a reservation for the 5,500 yen course. Upon being seated at the counter, a menu detailing the course offerings was already prepared. Starting with a selection of kimchi, namul, and a chorogi salad, we were then served various meats like yukhoe and tongue in just the right portions, in the order that everyone would enjoy. Each plate of meat was explained in terms of its origin and cut, all of which were sourced from Japanese beef. Each dish was incredibly delicious, and the cost performance was also very good. The service was excellent, the interior of the restaurant was clean, making it a place I would definitely want to visit again.

The Wagyu Yukke Donburi (1100 yen) with the texture of Yukke, richness of egg yolk, sweetness of special sauce, nori flavor, and sliminess of yam was exquisite! Other lunch options like the 3 kinds of tongue set meal (1650 yen), Harami set meal (150g) (1650 yen), and mixed yakiniku set meal (300g) (1650 yen) are also reasonably priced.

The attitude of the staff was bad, the service was slow, and the drinks came after the meat, etc. The salad came last. It was the worst as a dining establishment. The taste was mediocre, so I thought it was not worth the price. The only staff member who provided good service was the lady who came when we called for assistance at the end. The male staff was the worst. I don't want to go there again.

The restaurant has an atmosphere similar to a high-end establishment. It's about an 8-minute walk from Keihan Gion Shijo Station. I was worried about finding a seat without a reservation, but thankfully my party of two was able to get in. We ordered the beef tongue shio (salt), assorted meat platter, kimchi, and added grated garlic as a topping. The beef tongue was expertly sliced and very delicious. There were also some premium cuts at the back of the tongue, which was a lucky find. The quality of the meats in the assorted platter was also excellent. I forgot some of the other dishes we ordered since it was a while ago, but we had a satisfying meal for around 14,000 yen for two people. Definitely planning to visit again.

The beef tongue, sirloin, kalbi, yukhoe, and the sukiyaki for the finale were all excellent. I ended up ordering extra rice twice with the tare yakiniku, so I am quite full now. It was delicious.

Ordered various items like ox tongue, harami, kalbi, sirloin, lean meat, yukhoe, kimchi, and wakame soup. All were quite thick. While there are thick cuts like the tongue, normal cuts are sufficient. I recommend the deliciousness at this price. The atmosphere is calm, and I would like to visit again.

I had visited this place once at night before, but this time I tried the lunch Yukke-don. My companion ordered the Mixed Yakiniku Lunch, which also had a generous portion and good value. It includes beef, pork, chicken, and offal mixed on one plate, so if you have preferences, it might be good to ask the staff about the types of meat. As for the Yukke-don, it's not just the Yukke piled on top, but also plenty of yam and green onions, making it surprisingly light and delicious. I think it's good for when you want to refresh yourself with stamina on a hot day!

After walking around all day, I went for yakiniku but my body didn't seem to crave meat as I couldn't eat much variety... Hmm. I'd like to have a rematch when I'm feeling better. The restaurant had a calm atmosphere with spacious and comfortable seating. Next time I visit Kyoto, I'll have my rematch.

The sauce for the yukke felt too strong, but the meat was very delicious. I regret not ordering the curry rice without cheese. I prefer tongue salt over upper tongue. I enjoyed the harami with miso sauce. The staff were friendly and nice. Couldn't use d payment, but PayPay was accepted.

If you like yukke, I think it's worth considering. The variety of meat is average. When making a reservation online, only counter seats were available, but when I wrote a note requesting a table, they kindly seated us at an 8-person table. I apologize to the restaurant staff for being demanding.
