Medy
First of all, I apologize. Here is another "extremely fun forbidden drinking party review" post: sweat On September 1, 2018, we had a drinking party with 8 people at a place called "菜米炭゛" which is read as "Salad". This is a restaurant opened by a popular izakaya's manager who decided to go independent. Since a Mybeview user I have met before highly praised this place, I wanted to bring my Osaka rider friends to visit. (I have been running a nationwide motorcycle group since the summer of 2013) We also had a surprise birthday party for one of the participants (whose birthday is on September 6), and it was a lot of fun. The surprise was a great success, and you can watch the video of the surprise here! (Limited release) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4lLIClv3otw ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ This is the 499th review for Medy. (Huh? I posted it but it's still at 498 reviews? What's going on?) The 500th review will be about a very surprising place we went to for the after-party. Although it has a rating of 3.36 on Tabelog (with 24 reviews as of September 2018), something surprising happened! (Most likely, even the people who posted reviews haven't experienced this, so it became a very special memory) Despite the 3.36 rating, the food is really delicious~♡ The hostess at the restaurant is friendly and funny~♪ It's a fitting place for the 500th review celebration. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ [Location] Originally from Kyoto, I moved to Tokyo after graduating high school. This was my first time visiting Fukushima Station in Osaka. Hmm, Osaka is quite confusing to navigate; sweat It may take a bit of time for those without local knowledge to find the place, as you have to walk down narrow and dark alleys quite deep. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ [Interior] There are counter seats at the entrance and table seats at the back. When we visited, the table seats were divided by some sort of partition, with groups of 8 and 4 sitting separately. There was a small TV monitor on the wall at the back, but I don't think anyone was watching it. There were some watercolor-like paintings displayed on the walls. It must be the manager's taste. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ [Reservation] You can only make reservations for up to 8 people through Tabelog, and for more than 8 people, you need to call separately. This time, the number of participants was not confirmed for a while, so we caused some inconvenience, but they handled it very well. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ [Course] Deluxe sashimi platter x Swordfish x Live mackerel x Wagyu Ichibo charcoal-grilled course Course price: 3,500 yen (tax included) Number of items: 10 items Course contents: - Scallop miso soup with vinegar citrus aroma → Seems like an arrangement? I don't remember having it. - Deluxe sashimi platter (skipjack tuna, amberjack, barracuda) - Grilled swordfish with miso sauce and fresh lotus root in sweet vinegar - Duck and Kamo eggplant with autumn mushroom kudzu sauce - Live mackerel sushi with scallion and vinegar miso → Probably an arrangement. Can't remember eating it. - Shrimp rice cracker tempura with green chili pepper and shishito pepper in seaweed salt - Three kinds of sake appetizer platter (ginkgo nuts, edamame, sake lees cream cheese) → Maybe an arrangement too? - Kagoshima Wagyu Ichibo and green onion charcoal-grilled → The green onions were arranged and tender, right? - Red snapper tea-pickled with Kyoto pickles - Matcha ice cream +1,500 yen All-you-can-drink (1 type of sake) +2,000 yen All-you-can-drink (5 types of sake) +2,500 yen All-you-can-drink (10 types of sake) ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ [Thoughts on the course] I felt that it was slightly more subdued compared to what I saw on Tabelog reviews. I had the impression that the presentation would be more beautiful. It could be because the content is slightly adjusted depending on the season. The corn, for example, was not part of the course and it was not well-received among the participants. It was difficult to eat, and biting into it felt a bit off. I wish there was a bit more of the grilled swordfish with miso sauce and fresh lotus root...
