I was ordered to buy something as a gift and visited the store. I ordered as instructed. Instead of adding tapioca, I chose only coconut. When I tried it, it was delicious. It's okay to drink something that young people drink once in a while. Personally, I love caramel-based drinks. Thank you for the meal. It's a shop that I would visit if it's nearby. Next time, I'll try the plain or seasonal items. It might be a good idea for gifts or souvenirs. (^_^)

I ordered a milk tea with a small amount of tapioca pearls and no sweetness, but the tapioca pearls themselves had a slight sweetness that melted into the tea, making it a bit too sweet for my taste. Ikebukuro East Exit, next to Bic Camera, the mystery of the line that was there has been solved - this place was a tapioca milk tea shop! Since there was no line, I got it to go. I ordered a regular milk tea with half the sweetness, normal tapioca, and less ice. By the time I got home, the tapioca had started to harden a bit and the milk tea was slightly weak. The price seemed a bit high because they add the tapioca cost on top of the menu price, which was a bit strange. Ikebukuro is becoming a fierce battleground for tapioca. I'll try it again if I have the chance...

There is also a Chatime at the east exit of Ikebukuro! Chatime Milk Tea + Pearl and Passion Fruit Jasmine Tea + Pearl are classic choices. The combination of fruit and jasmine tea is refreshing and delicious, with a nice balance of sweetness. ❤️

I went to Chatime Ikebukuro Higashi-guchi store. This place is a popular tapioca shop that is currently booming. Even in the small space, you can feel the trend with the lines. We each ordered different drinks. Chatime milk tea, matcha, jasmine tea, etc. We also tried various toppings other than tapioca. However, we kept it simple and just ordered tapioca. The tapioca milk tea is slightly sweet, and the chewy texture of the tapioca is delicious. It feels like it's been a while since I last had it, but I think the trend will continue to grow, so I'll have more opportunities to drink it.笑

I ordered the shop's original "Chatime Milk Tea (R440)" with recommended syrup (sweetness) at 30% sweetness and tapioca topping (50 yen to 110 yen) for my first visit. The milk tea has a nice aroma of tea leaves that gently wafts through the air. The tapioca is the trendy "raw tapioca" type, with a chewy texture similar to firm white balls. I personally prefer the cheap (?) jelly-like tapioca, so I wasn't a big fan of this type, but it would be recommended for those who enjoy raw tapioca. The low score for service is not due to the quality of customer service, but rather the issue of long lines forming on the narrow road, causing obstruction to traffic flow which has not been addressed.

I prefer tapioca drinks that are not too sweet and have less ice. I like drinks with passion fruit in jasmine tea, which has a subtle sweetness and is delicious. There is usually a long line, but it was not crowded today.

A Taiwanese tapioca specialty store. Nowadays, tapioca shops are popping up on street corners. I enjoy drinking while slightly tipsy, and I used to buy tapioca often. I was delighted to discover that my favorite, Chatime, had opened in Ikebukuro, so I bought some right away. It was hot, so I got the Passion Jasmine Tea with QQ toppings. The balance of acidity and sweetness was perfect for the weather that day. The staff were also cheerful and made the experience pleasant.
