After exiting the JR Shinjuku Station East Exit, head towards the East Exit and cross the signal towards Alta. Walk straight towards Kabukicho, passing by the Godzilla Road where Don Quijote is located. Turn right at the end of the road, then turn left at the kushikatsu restaurant to find the restaurant on the right side. It opened on December 1, 2022! I tried a variety of yakitori, including a salt assortment of 10 skewers. The assortment included kawa, bonjiri, sunagimo, momo, seseri, negima, liver, sasami, tsukune, and tebasaki. I also added pork belly and quail eggs with sauce. In addition to the above, they also offer pork tongue, sausage, shiitake mushrooms, garlic, and more. Yakitori goes surprisingly well with alcohol, so I enjoyed some highballs and lemon sours which were reasonably priced. Feeling like I needed more vegetables, I ordered the Caesar salad with soft-boiled egg. It's a delightful dish that Caesar salad lovers will enjoy. For dessert, I had the fondant chocolat. First, I tried it as is to savor the original flavor, then I added the vanilla ice cream on top. It's a treat recommended for those with a sweet tooth. The drink menu includes 99 yen (excluding tax) highballs and lemon sours, so I alternated between Jim Beam highballs and lemon sours from a specialty bar. *On weekdays, highballs and lemon sours are only 99 yen (excluding tax)! However, on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and the day before holidays, they are 250 yen (excluding tax). So if you want to enjoy highballs and lemon sours, it's best to visit on weekdays. Be careful not to drink too much, as the low prices may tempt you to have more than intended. Orders are placed by scanning the QR code next to the table with your smartphone, but you can also order verbally if you find it difficult. There are seating options on the 2nd and 3rd floors, but during my visit, the 3rd floor was under construction. Smoking is allowed, so if you smoke, please inform the staff to provide you with an ashtray. This restaurant is recommended for yakitori lovers as well as highball and lemon sour enthusiasts.
