Visit date and time: 6:00 PM on a weekday Waiting time: No wait with advance reservation Menu: Fugu course with tetchiri (hot pot) I visited Issui after a long time. It was my first fugu of the season. I enjoyed tessa, tetchiri, karaage, fugu skin with ponzu sauce, and fugu rice porridge with an added shirako (salt). The tessa here is thickly sliced with a great texture and delicious taste. Dessert was served at the end and I was completely full. I will work hard so I can come back next year to enjoy fugu again. The tetchiri fugu is still moving when served, so I always end up taking a video. It's expensive in the city, but it's more affordable locally, so I want to come here at least once a year. Thank you for the meal.

Recently, there are fewer affordable teppanyaki restaurants. I hadn't visited this place in a while since going a few times right after it opened, but I decided to come back because it was a GoTo campaign eligible store. I ordered the "Emi Course" which includes fried blowfish (5000 yen excluding tax). The boiled skin that comes with the course is usually included in most teppanyaki courses, but here it is firm like sashimi. The portion of the blowfish sashimi is quite large for one person, with plenty of chunky blowfish in the teppanyaki and hot fried blowfish. Everything is delicious. It had been a while since I had teppanyaki and I ended up spilling the pot, turning the stove into a broth. I apologize to the staff. When asked if I wanted the porridge made here, I agreed. It's interesting how there are various ways to make porridge after having hot pot with friends, but it's really nice to ask the teppanyaki professionals to make it. The porridge after teppanyaki is really delicious. How does such a delicious broth come out of the bland blowfish? For dessert, I had yuzu sherbet. The sherbet with large pieces of yuzu peel was very delicious. Including a glass of draft beer and appetizers, the total before using points was 6500 yen. I used a coupon for a glass of fin sake. It seems like they are really putting in effort to provide this course at this price. Teppanyaki is one of the winter delicacies in Kansai, but nowadays, young people don't seem to appreciate it as much. Maybe that's why there are more places charging double the price for a teppanyaki course. Even without GoTo, I want to use it more and preserve the local food culture.

Today, I visited a hidden gem restaurant in Hirano called Issui, and I had a satisfying meal at a reasonable price. There were four of us, and we ordered the teppanyaki course for three people, grilled pufferfish, and fried shirako as additional dishes. We enjoyed the pufferfish in various ways. It's a must to have sake with the meal. The pufferfish in the hot pot was still moving slightly. The meal ended with a delicious porridge.

This is my second visit. This time, I was guided to the second floor. It was nice and warm with a sunken kotatsu table. I chose the "laughing drunk" course again. In addition, I ordered some a la carte dishes: burdock fry, small shrimp tempura, addictive cucumber, yam fry, and grilled shirako.

I asked various people where I could eat delicious fugu tempura after a long time, and I was introduced to a reasonably priced and highly rated restaurant called Kakurete-Tchiri Nabedokoro Issui. It's a hidden gem next to a residential area, with a quiet environment and a cozy atmosphere. I ordered a course meal and enjoyed a variety of dishes. The fugu hot pot in the photo is for four people, and it was a satisfying amount. The fugu was freshly prepared and still moving, which may seem a bit grotesque, but it makes for a delicious hot pot dish. I also love fugu sashimi, but fugu hot pot is my favorite. The light flavor and refreshing texture are just amazing. The appetizer was boiled fugu skin, which had a crunchy texture that I loved. There was also simmered fugu, which paired well with nagaimo for a crispy and chewy texture. The fugu sashimi was also fantastic, with a crunchy texture that I enjoyed. Wrapping it in condiments added to the amazing texture. The long-awaited fugu tempura was my favorite. The texture and flavor were top-notch. Grilled fugu milt in foil was rich and easy to eat, perfect as a side dish. The pickled cucumber was intended as a palate cleanser, but it turned out to be incredibly delicious. The finishing touch of the fugu hot pot was a porridge, which was absolutely perfect. I was completely satisfied. I don't want it to get too crowded, but I want to keep this place a secret gem. It's a restaurant that I want to visit again and again.

I made a reservation for November 19, and visited the restaurant. The parking lot is located across the street at Times. I received a complimentary one-hour parking ticket but went over, so I paid ¥400 extra. We ordered the ¥5000 hot pot course for two people. It included appetizers, boiled dishes, sashimi, fried chicken, hot pot, and dessert. We also ordered grilled shirako and cucumber as extras.

It's a high-class restaurant that I, as a commoner, would never enter (lol). I've been there twice for the president's birthday and the company year-end party. It seems that our company's president knows the owner, so we were allowed to use the place. There is a fish tank at the entrance with lively pufferfish swimming around, which may seem a bit cruel, but once you sit down and see the food in front of you, it doesn't really matter (lol). I enjoyed dishes like sashimi, hot pot, and fried pufferfish at this restaurant. The porridge served at the end of the hot pot is a must-have.

On this day, I participated in an event hosted by the head of "Watei". It was a far, far away place from my home, in Kizurabari, a place called Kirei. I took the subway for about 40-50 minutes from the first station, and even got off halfway for a pre-drink and snack (laughs). "Isui", a hidden Tetchiri and Nabe restaurant, is actually a place where you can eat fugu all year round, as the sign says. Look! It's swimming like this, right? I never thought I could eat fugu in early summer. On this day, the head of Watei (also known as Nagomi-chan) chose and brought me some sake! I don't know much about sake, but if it's recommended by Nagomi-chan, it must be good! Apparently, there's some amazing sake mixed in it. Below are the names of the dishes omitted. For those who understand, they should know! (laughs) In one word, my impression of the fugu is, bouncy, chewy, crunchy, how's that for an impression? Anyway, in one word... I feel happy~ (laughs) The sake was also delicious! Is Juyondai not a sake that you can easily drink? Sake is delicious, isn't it? LOVE Hiresake, my body and heart are warm. At that time, I felt like, alright! I'm all set for this summer! (Although I'm feeling a bit tired now...) It's a bit far, but it's cost-effective, the atmosphere is good, the food is delicious, so I want to come back to eat fugu without losing to the winter cold! I was invited by a friend to try a delicious restaurant, so I decided to go. The restaurant was still new, with spacious tables and a nice atmosphere. Since I have difficulty walking, they kindly moved us to a table on the first floor with a smile, even though they had already prepared one on the second floor. First, we were served a starter of Norisore and firefly squid (I forgot to take a picture, sorry!). It was a great treat for those who enjoy drinking. The portion of the sliced raw fish was surprisingly generous for the price. The fried chicken was crispy and delicious. The fugu for the hot pot was still moving, adding to the excitement. The hot pot itself was tasty, and the homemade ponzu sauce was so good I could drink it. The plump and creamy shirako was a dream come true. We also tried the hot pot version and grilled shirako. It was a luxurious experience. We opted for the all-you-can-drink option, which included a generous serving of sake. The course menu is currently discounted until March 3rd, so it's a great deal. I am grateful to the handsome owner and the beautiful hostess for the wonderful experience.
