I had lunch at a chain izakaya in Seibu Shinjuku Station. I took the elevator to the upper floor and was a bit disappointed by the cleanliness of the entrance. I sat at a free seat and ordered the Spicy White Soup Noodles for 590 yen, attracted by the two words "spicy and delicious" on the lunch menu. The clientele was young and the prices were reasonable, with most dishes around the price of a coin. I enjoyed a glass of chu-hi through the membership registration service and had a light lunch drink. The taste was as expected, a bit on the mild side. If you drink about 10 sips, you might get tipsy. It wasn't as spicy as expected, but the chicken soup base was delicious. It's nice that they are a chicken shop after all. It's convenient to have this price range in front of the station.

I immediately ordered 2 chicken skins for 70 yen each, 4 chicken wings for 59 yen each, horse sashimi for 680 yen, and a refill of cabbage for 280 yen. You can order snacks in small quantities and all the drinks are cheap, making it a great place for solo drinking.

The staff at this restaurant are mostly young and seem a bit carefree, but the male staff member on the floor, although not very knowledgeable about the restaurant, provided decent service. However, the attitude of the female staff was not very friendly. Well, I guess that's why they don't offer any complimentary dishes and can't provide menu items or drinks at a lower price. Orders are placed through a touch panel, and there is also a lunch menu available where you can place orders verbally. It's convenient as a place where you can drink from noon. I happened to visit during a promotion where a highball and a regular lemon sour were priced at 99 yen. I also ordered 4 pieces of Red Fried Chicken for 280 yen, excluding tax. The regular lemon sour was just that - a normal lemon sour with some acidity but not too strong, average flavor intensity, and carbonation level. The Red Fried Chicken was also normal - frozen with a crispy coating, not very tender meat, and topped with a tangy sauce similar to gochujang. Well, considering the low price, it's not bad.

After the budget allocation meeting, I went out with my colleagues to celebrate! We started with a toast with a medium-sized glass of Premium Malt's beer, which was a great deal at 199 yen excluding tax! We ordered 4 pieces of grilled chicken skin and 4 pieces of chicken wings to start and prepare our stomachs. The izakaya's lunch is reasonably priced and quite tasty. Today, I decided to have lunch here. It is located right outside Shinjuku Station on the Seibu Shinjuku Line. Among the various set lunches, there was a "today's special" which turned out to be German potato. Since it's not wartime or post-war, I decided to avoid the rice and potato combination and chose the Yodare chicken set, which is like a Bang Bang Ji-style dish. The chicken, flavored with myoga and shiso, was moist and tender, and quite delicious. It was interesting, so I plan to come back again. LOL.

When the part-time worker carried the hot pot of water simmered dish, they accidentally spilled some into my bag as they walked by.

I arrived before 7pm on Monday with a reservation. Even without a reservation, we were able to get a table, but the restaurant was about 80% full.
