The storefront looks like a traditional shop with sliding doors, but inside, it's a modern and industrial-style Korean cafe. They serve cute muffins and waffles. I tried the waffle topped with strawberry daifuku, and it was delicious, especially when warm. The coffee was also really good. Located near a maze-like shopping street in Tsuruhashi, it might be easier to find if you enter from the main street leading to Koreatown.

A cafe with a stylish interior of exposed concrete that you wouldn't expect from its appearance. It can seat around 10-14 people, and it was full when we arrived, with people waiting on pipe chairs. It seems to be a popular cafe. We only had coffee as we stopped by after lunch and didn't have room for dessert, but it was delicious.

I heard that a café opened in the Tsuruhashi shopping street, so I went to check it out! It's a nice spot around here. I was happy to find a place to have tea after leisurely shopping! Surprisingly, it's quite stylish and seems like it will become popular among those exploring Koreatown! The shop is a bit hidden in the back, which gives it a nice hidden gem feel. The Croffles, which are the talk of the town, were delicious!

I came to Koreatown with my daughter to have tea. It was a bit difficult to find the place without Google, but we finally discovered it after wandering around. We ordered at the counter and received our drinks first. The muffin was around 400 yen, and the waffle was 600 yen. Inside, there were plain concrete block chairs and tables. Soon, the waffle and muffin were brought to us. The waffle was slightly warm. As for the taste, the muffin was a bit dry and had air bubbles in some parts. The waffle was hard. It seems like you pay for the appearance and atmosphere. However, my daughter was delighted and kept saying how delicious everything was after taking photos from various angles. So, let's consider it a good experience. Thank you for the meal!

TikTok and Instagram user @mfk_gourmet shares gourmet and outing information. Search for 'Maru Foiko' ●Seats: About 10 ●Atmosphere: Calm, stylish space ●Price range: ¥2000- ●Nearest station: Tsuruhashi Station (7-minute walk) ●Business hours: 11:00-18:00 ●Closed on Wednesdays ●Reservation: Unknown ●Parking: None ●Solo dining: ★☆☆☆☆------------------------------------------The white concrete is trendy and suits Tsuruhashi well. The products are all cute and on-trend, mostly from Korea. I was torn between choices! The drink with crunchy Oreos was tempting, but I love coffee, so I went for a latte ☕️ Recent menu items include cute bear muffins and vibrant colored drinks with ice sticks upside down (sorry for the expression). It seems like there are more photogenic items now. Check out the shop's Instagram for clear images and definitely give it a visit. I want to try more items there as well. The waffles and coffee were delicious, so I'll definitely be back ❤️ps. There were many girls in the shop taking photos with their favorite idols and sweets. Recommended: bear muffin. Everyone, be sure to check it out!InstagramTikTok↓@mfk_gourmet 'Maru Foiko' #MustCheckOut

Located just a short walk from Tsuruhashi Station ♡ A coffee stand with a black sign as a landmark ♡ Order and pay first, then choose your seat ♡ I ordered ❤︎ KUMAFFIN ¥380 (tax included) ❤︎ Cafe Latte ¥450 (tax included) ❤︎ Lemon Squash ¥500 (tax included) A cute bear-shaped muffin ♡ I chose the Lemon Squash for its refreshing taste ♡ Even though it's a coffee stand, I didn't order coffee because I wanted something refreshing due to the heat ♡ The Lemon Squash had the perfect sweetness and fizziness! This makes me believe that their coffee must be delicious too! I'll have to try it next time ♡ I was able to relax in the simple interior ♡ It was delicious ♡ Thank you for the meal ♡ I will visit again ♡

Shelter Coffee, which recently relocated from its previous location near the old coffee stand, is a hidden gem that may be hard to find without a map. Despite its somewhat obscure location, it is a popular spot with customers constantly coming in. The small shop only has 5 seats, so during busy times there is a 45-minute time limit. You order and pay at the counter, and then the staff brings your order to your seat. The croffles seem to be a popular menu item, but I only had a drink this time. They have a one-drink minimum policy, so you can't just order croffles or pastries. I had an iced cafe latte for ¥450. The shop didn't have the logo sticker of the girl seen on Instagram, but a simpler logo sticker. I also got a "Kumafin" muffin to go, which was adorable and cost ¥380 each. There were three flavors available: white bear, black bear, and marble (which is only available on weekends). I chose the white bear and black bear, and they were surprisingly large and had plenty of chocolate chips inside. The black bear was tastier because of the abundance of chocolate chips. However, the muffin was quite soft and crumbly, so be careful when taking it home. Mine was a bit of a mess by the time I got home, but I was glad I took a picture at the shop!

In May 2018, SHELTERCOFFEESTAND opened in Osaka, Tsuruhashi. Since then, they have expanded their cafe space and opened a second location called "SHELTERCOFFEE" on May 2nd. Unfortunately, I missed the reception invitation from friends and acquaintances due to a scheduling error. However, I had a chance to visit the new location and chat with the owner. The new cafe is stylish and cool, with a simple design that allows for social distancing with 5 seats available. The floor is decorated with the word "SHELTER," showcasing the owner's taste. The menu includes popular drinks crafted by the talented barista owner, as well as in-demand sweets like the "kuma muffin" featuring a cute bear face. The new takeout cup stickers have been redesigned, and the new logo is also stylish. I was able to photograph the sold-out kuma muffin alongside a latte. They also offer waffle-based menu items that were not available at the previous location. If you're interested, I recommend visiting early to capture photos of the sweets you want.
