Today's solo lunch was at the familiar place as always... But it's not Doutchika this time! The Doutchika store had to close due to the state of emergency, leaving me, a lunch refugee, wandering in the light rain and ending up in Temma. I just came to buy a bento, but since I still have a 50 yen discount ticket that expires at the end of the month, I decided to stop by for lunch! It's been a while since I visited the Temma KY Building store. It was before 3 o'clock, and the guests in the restaurant were sparse, creating a quiet atmosphere. The staff, two veteran ladies, provided excellent service. I usually order the following items: - Zaru Soba for ¥510 - Half portion of Chikuwa Tempura for ¥70 At this restaurant, the Chikuwa Tempura is served separately in a dish, which is convenient. The soba was nicely chilled, with a smooth texture. The soba broth had a slightly less sweetness compared to Doutchika, giving it a refreshing taste. The Chikuwa Tempura was delicious as always, with a hint of nori flavor. When I finished my meal, they brought me soba-yu (hot water used to rinse the remaining soba sauce from the bowl), which was a nice touch. They also offer a happy hour menu during lunch, where you can get a drink like beer, edamame, and oden for just one coin. Unfortunately, they couldn't serve alcohol due to the state of emergency. I hope to come back for a daytime drink once the state of emergency is lifted. Oh, and the total bill came to ¥530 after the 50 yen discount. I'm grateful to the staff, the restaurant, the food, the soba, and the discount. Thank you for the meal!
