The train was delayed, so I had a #beer break at Shin-Osaka Station. Working in Osaka means I can't go straight home. The temptation of the way back, Aisakaba Chirori, Agedashi Tofu, Draft Beer, food, foods, beer, beer, beerstagram, Osaka, Osaka gourmet, a drink after work, a little drink, standing bar, izakaya, oden, sake, sake bar.

Quick Drink Set ¥1170 at Aisakaba Chirori @ Shin-Osaka. I forgot to post on Wednesday. After work, I had a 30-minute showdown while waiting for the Shinkansen. Two drinks and one dish. But it wasn't enough, so I added a highball and squid tempura. #Izakaya #Chirori #OsakaCity #ShinOsakaStation

I visited "Aisakaba Chirori" on Friday. Since I was in Osaka, I wanted to eat kushiage (; ・`д・´) It was around 3 pm and I missed lunch, so I was really hungry and wondering if the food would come out quickly. The kushiage was average. It felt a bit pricey. The "Spicy Mapo Tofu (tax included 450 yen)" was really delicious! I thought about ordering it again, but I was already full and had to give up ( ;∀;). I paid with PayPay.

I visited this place after returning from a business trip for a reflection meeting before disbanding. Despite reflecting a lot on the Shinkansen, drinkers always want to keep drinking until the very end (laughs). I wasn't hungry that day, so I got a drink set with small dishes at a good price. There were various dishes on the menu, so I would like to come back next time and enjoy drinking here.

I stayed in Shin-Osaka the night before work. I forgot to bring my regular medication, so I decided to replenish it and wandered around the station. I exchanged my entrance ticket for a voucher that can be used at the station. I was lured by the recommended 3 kinds of snacks for 550 yen and ended up having a light drink with Nara sake recommended by the staff, totaling 980 yen. It's a good place to stop by after work or on a business trip. Thank you for the meal.

I don't like cutting it close with time, so I always make sure to take a Shinkansen with plenty of time to spare, which requires some time adjustment. So, reluctantly (or intentionally?), I found myself drawn in. Here's what I had: - Light drinking set 1170 yen - Oyster fry with tartar sauce 420 yen - Oden (Japanese hot pot) with large octopus dumplings 270 yen I didn't review my previous visit before ordering, but the dishes in the light drinking set and the sake I chose were the same. This time, I decided to have two cups of sake, and I ordered another Shirasagi no Shiro because it was described as dry. The deep-fried tofu with minced meat sauce was delicious, so I didn't mind having it again. The oyster fry is a recommended winter menu item, and I chose tartar sauce. It's a small dish, but it came with shredded cabbage and lemon, and it was delicious. I chose octopus dumplings for the oden, and it was delicious. It's similar to Akashiyaki and you can enjoy the broth as well, and I really liked it. When you order sake, they also bring you water, so it's a good restaurant.

This shop is located inside Osaka Station, and I was drawn in by the sight of the characters for "Japanese sake". Even though I was traveling with a carry-on suitcase, it was a bit of a challenge to enter the shop, but the food and sake were excellent! I had a cold sake called "Utakaki" from Osaka. It was refreshing and very easy to drink. The snacks included daikon radish and octopus takoyaki in oden style! I thought it was common in Osaka to have takoyaki in oden style, but it seems like this shop is the only one doing it! The broth soaked into the batter perfectly, and it was incredibly delicious! Plus, even though each sake was around 200 yen, the total for 4 items was only 1,440 yen - surprisingly affordable!! You must visit this place!!!

On this day, I had to go to Tokyo for work from the beginning of the year. Before boarding the bullet train, I came to this restaurant inside the local train station to have lunch. It seems like a place where you can also drink at night, but since I'm working, I'll resist the temptation. I sat at the counter seat inside the restaurant and ordered from the lunch menu. ☆ Oden set meal - 790 yen The broth was delicious and flavorful. The bonito oden was served hot. The oden included daikon radish, fish cake, egg, tofu, and konjac. The portions were generous and I was able to eat to my heart's content. With rice and miso soup included, I was full and satisfied. Thank you for the meal.

When I arrived at Shin-Osaka Station, there was a crazy long line in front of Doutor. I thought maybe they were having a campaign or something, but turns out they were lining up for 551. Everyone just had a little bit to drink and then left. I guess drinking on the Shinkansen makes you want more. There's a set with a little bit to drink for 1170 yen, including today's special dish and a choice of two drinks. There's a place that offers that. Let's go try it. "Please give me a draft beer." It came in a small tumbler, tasty but I wonder what kind of glass they serve single draft beers in. Today's dish arrived, what could it be? It's like shredded cabbage with chicken balls, but not really. It has a crunchy texture, like lotus root. Was it tofu hamburger? Forgot. Let's skip the second beer and go for sake. I'll choose the Junmai Ginjo sake. They bring it in a glass on a plate, called Chirori. It means you pour the sake yourself. Drip, drip...oops, spilling, spilling. A little more, please. It's a fruity and delicious sake. I wonder what the daikon in oden is like, let's order that. They serve it with the edges trimmed, soft but not too soft, in a gentle broth.

I stopped by for a quick drink before catching the Shinkansen for the next 30 minutes. I ordered a tomato beer, ham steak, and a platter of three kinds of oden. The tomato beer was good, but I still prefer regular draft beer. The ham steak was a bit on the soft side. The oden included konjac, fish cakes, and thick fried tofu, which were tasty. For my second drink, I had a regular draft beer and grilled squid. I was surprised when the grilled squid arrived, as I had expected just one piece for around 400 yen. It was soft and delicious. The seating was a bit uncomfortable though.

A small izakaya inside a JR station, specializing in sake. I tried their "chōinomi" set, which includes two drinks. I also ordered some oden and coleslaw. The chōinomi set was good, with the fried tofu in dashi being a nice accompaniment to the sake. The sake came in 90ml and 180ml sizes, but the 180ml cup was not filled up to the top, which was a bit disappointing. The oden had a traditional izakaya flavor, while the coleslaw was basically just shredded cabbage. It was a bit surprising as I expected something more like traditional coleslaw.

I stopped by for a quick drink before catching my train on a business trip. I used to have a drink near the ticket gates, but it had been a while since I last visited and I was surprised to see how nice it had become. With about 30 minutes to spare, I noticed a quick drink set and decided to give it a try. I ordered two drinks and two snacks, opting for a draft beer and chef's choice of snack. The first dish, whose name I forgot, paired perfectly with the beer and was delicious. The second dish was deep-fried red ginger skewers, which I tried for the first time and found to be very tasty. I don't often have the chance to eat skewers, but they went really well with the beer. It's great to have a place where you can enjoy a quick drink in such a short amount of time. I will definitely visit again. Thank you for the meal.

I think about what to eat, where to eat, and who to eat with every day. I eat while researching and improving myself. I keep a diary to find my last meal in life. I will evaluate without any consideration. I was stuck in Shin-Osaka due to a business trip to Wakayama. I had some time before the train, so I went for a light lunch drink. Drinking before work... what a guy! But don't worry. Drinking is also part of the job, so it's okay! Anyway, this shop offers a great value for a light drinking set. There is also a sake tasting set, but for drinkers, it's a light drinking set! The interior of the shop displays various types of Japanese sake, which is nice. Of course, you can drink them! I wasn't hungry, so I didn't order any food, but they have oden and other light dishes that seem perfect for a casual drink. Thank you for the meal. I will visit again when I'm nearby. Thank you very much.

I had dinner alone at Ekimarche inside the JR Osaka Station. I chose a place where I could enjoy oden and sake. The interior was bright and clean, but the chairs were uncomfortably high, probably to encourage turnover. I ordered two drinks and today's appetizer set for a little over 1,000 yen, which included three types of oden, coleslaw, and red Vienna sausage. The first drink was beer, and the appetizer was chicken meatballs. The meatballs, coleslaw, and sausage were all served with cabbage. The oden included fish cakes, boiled eggs, and tofu, but none of them stood out. For my second drink, I had hot sake before quickly leaving.

I watched a Soiree at the Takarazuka Grand Theater and hurried to Shin-Osaka Station. It's convenient that there is a direct train because I'm not familiar with the area. I arrived early and found the Shinkansen ticket gate, so I decided to have a quick drink at the station. I saw a picture of sake on the station guide board, so I headed there. It looked like a regular izakaya with counter seats and table seats lined up. I ordered the following items: - Light drinking set 1150 yen - Seared mackerel 350 yen - Oden egg 150 yen - Oden chikuwa 150 yen - Vinegared chicken with green onions 430 yen The light drinking set allows you to choose from all drinks on the regular menu, while the sake drinking set allows you to choose from non-sake and non-beer drinks. I chose the light drinking set. For drinks, I had two glasses of draft beer, Shirozuru no Shiro. The beer had coarse bubbles, which was disappointing. But Shirozuru no Shiro was good for the price. It was served in a small bottle, and pouring it yourself was a nice touch. Today's special was deep-fried tofu with topping of sauce and green onions. The tofu was freshly fried, and the thick sauce had a good flavor. The seared mackerel was sweet and tender, which I liked. I couldn't order daikon for the oden, so I chose these two items. The flavors were well infused and delicious. I ordered the vinegared chicken without really knowing what it was, and it turned out to be fried chicken, which was also delicious. The only downside was that it took a surprisingly long time for the food to be served, considering it's a station restaurant. Even when it's not crowded, it still takes a while, so it's better to avoid it if you're short on time. It's a convenient place to sit and drink at the station. When entering the Shinkansen ticket gate, be sure to pass through with your Shinkansen ticket first, then touch your PASMO card to settle the fare from Takarazuka to Osaka city. (You all know this, right? Just a reminder.)

[JR Osaka Higashi Line] In March 2019, the section between Shin-Osaka Station and Kyuhoji Station opened. It runs through a minor area, but it has become very convenient for commuting between my hometown and Shin-Osaka. It's never crowded, and the casual scenery visible from the elevated parts is surprisingly nice. However, it means I no longer have the chance to stop for a meal in a bustling area, which is a bit sad. So, I decided to look for a place within Shin-Osaka Station to have a quick meal before buying my usual 551 and Akafuku at the Ekimarche. Oh? It used to be a Jim Beam bar, but now it's a sake shop. I might be able to have a quick drink here, so I decided to go in. The space is small, but they have acrylic sheets in place. I decided to go for the quick drink set (550 yen) to test the waters. However, there's a limitation that you can only choose beer or sake. I reluctantly settled for tomato juice. The side dish for the day was simmered bamboo shoots and chicken, which turned out to be surprisingly delicious. Since I was there, I also tried a Pon sake. I paired it with Harushika (430 yen) junmai and a skewer assortment (530 yen). They brought it to me on a tray, which was nice. They also provided "calming water" as a gesture. The skewer assortment included yam, pork belly, and chicken breast, served with a radish and grated daikon ponzu sauce. The unexpected twist was quite good. It paired well with the sharp Harushika sake. I should make a habit of stopping by here regularly since I have to come to Osaka more often. It seems like a good place to clear my thoughts. Now, it's time to head out.

(Visited in early February 2021) It was a weekday dinner. I was in Osaka for work and had to catch the Shinkansen back to Tokyo in the evening. Before boarding the train, I decided to have a drink at Osaka Ekimaru. After wandering around a bit, I settled on this place because it was not crowded. I arrived around 6:00 PM and there were two other customers. The seating was a bit tight, but the atmosphere was quite nice! I ordered the "Choi nomi set" for 1,100 yen, which included two drinks and a daily appetizer. Both drinks were highballs, with a strong whiskey taste. The appetizer was sweet vinegar-marinated wakasagi, which was soft and delicious. Due to strong winds, the Shinkansen was delayed. I had already reserved a later train, so I had some time to spare. I then ordered some oden - egg (150 yen), chikuwa (150 yen), and thick tofu (180 yen). It was a luxurious experience to have oden with a drink. The light-colored dashi broth soaked into the ingredients well, especially the chikuwa. Next, I had two skewers - chicken breast (190 yen) and chikuwa with cheese (200 yen). As I finished my highballs, I asked for a fourth one (430 yen). The skewers came with a sauce that seemed like a mixture of mirin, soy sauce, and chopped green onions. However, the skewers were delicious on their own, so I ended up not using the sauce. With some time still left, I ordered a fourth drink. In total, it came to 2,830 yen, which was quite affordable. I paid with PayPay and with four highballs in small glasses, I could sleep comfortably on the train. (laughs)

I had a little treat and went for the most expensive lunch menu, priced at 1,080 yen! It was a hearty lunch with tonpeiyaki, ham steak, yakibuta, and chicken nanban. I couldn't finish all the rice, sorry! They had a wide variety of drinks, so I want to come back for a drink next time! There were many people drinking during the day, and I felt envious (*´艸`)

An izakaya located inside the JR ticket gate at Shin-Osaka Station. The location is perfect for adjusting your schedule before catching the Shinkansen. It has a casual atmosphere and reasonable prices, perfect for those looking to have a quick drink rather than a leisurely one. The prices are very reasonable given the super convenient location, which is uncommon in Tokyo. Start with a small drinking set - two alcoholic drinks and some snacks for 1,000 yen. They offer a selection of local sake from western Japan at affordable prices. However, don't expect too much from the food. The kitchen is small, so the quality matches that. The signature dish, kushikatsu, is served with a dipping sauce instead of the usual sauce, which may not be to everyone's taste in Osaka. The kushikatsu is served hot with a cold batter and becomes limp when dipped in the sauce. The drinks are a good deal considering the location, but the snacks are average. It's a good place for a quick drink before or after your journey due to its great convenience.

"Meeting" at a bar? Really? "Meeting" is just wanting to meet someone face to face, while "encounter" is wanting to meet someone deeply from the heart. Do you really want to see me that much?! Anyway, I ordered the light drinking set for 1000 yen + tax, which includes 2 drinks and 1 dish. I chose beer for the drinks and chicken char siu for the dish. The other drink was sake from the Goshun brewery in Ikeda, Osaka. I also added grilled tofu skewers for 160 yen, bringing the total to about 1300 yen including tax. The prices are reasonable and the taste is not bad. Thank you for the meal.
