Thanks to the World Cup, I checked in and ended up sleeping until 6pm with no plans for dinner. I wandered around looking for a place to eat, but since it was Friday night, it was hard to get into popular restaurants without a reservation. However, one of my Instagram followers recommended this place and luckily they had a table available. I ordered a hot sake in a small pot to warm up, as well as a dish called sesame mackerel. I also ordered a variety of yakitori skewers. The appetizer was mozuku seaweed, which was surprisingly delicious and generous in portion. The sesame mackerel arrived, and it was fresh and fatty, coated in a tasty sauce. It was so good that I finished it all by myself, even though it looked like it could serve two people. The sake was flowing, and then the yakitori skewers arrived - bonjiri, pork belly, cheese, shiitake mushroom, and ginkgo nut. Some were available in sets of two, but they kindly allowed me to order each skewer individually. The skewers were all grilled over charcoal and were absolutely delicious. Even though I'm not a big fan of mushrooms, the shiitake was surprisingly tasty and easy to eat. I also ordered two skewers of black chicken and one of chicken thigh meat to finish off the meal. The chicken thigh was especially tender and a must-try. In the end, I only ordered one small pot of hot sake, so the total bill was just over 4,000 yen, which was quite reasonable. I appreciate restaurants that are considerate of solo diners. Fukuoka's yakitori is top-notch!

It had been a while, maybe about 3 years since I last went. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is dim and stylish. It's not often you find such a stylish yakitori place. The menu includes not only skewers but also sashimi and sushi, offering a wide variety. I tried dishes like pork belly, gizzard, and chicken skin, and they were delicious.

I went to a dinner with colleagues at a restaurant. When we entered the restaurant, there were many customers. I'm glad we made a reservation. Since it wasn't a course meal this time, we ordered various dishes we liked, wanted to eat, and drinks we wanted. We even had luxurious yakitori with sea urchin on top, which was delicious with its sweet flavor. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

It had been a while since I last visited Yahei-san, so I couldn't eat much as it was my second stop, but I ordered the famous skewers of edamame beans, four pieces of chicken breast, boneless chicken wings, potato salad, and truffle-style chawanmushi. The staff, including the guy grilling the yakitori at the grill, and the female staff, were very accommodating! The appetizer and skewers were delicious! However, perhaps because they were grilling a lot at once, the chicken breast was slightly overcooked, which affected its quality compared to the other skewers. Despite this, I would like to go back again as it had been a while, and I am a repeat customer!

Hachibei's 40th Anniversary Craft Beer + Sesame Flavor + Edamame Skewers + Chicken Thigh Skewers + Chicken Skin + Chicken Liver + Gizzard + Tender Pork Cartilage Skewers + Draft Beer + Chicken Neck + Asparagus Wrapped in Pork + Chicken Liver = 5676 yen. When I stopped by at 7:00, the restaurant was full. They said I could get a seat at 8:30, so I went to another place for a bit and returned. The stylish black-themed interior was popular among young people. I ordered based on the recommendations of the staff and enjoyed delicious skewers one after another. The edamame skewers were unique and interesting. The chicken skin was delicious. The chicken liver had a unique taste that I really enjoyed and had seconds. The asparagus wrapped in pork was also fantastic. My taste buds wanted more, but I was already full. Thank you for the meal.

I visited Yahei-san after a long time, this time at the Kamihito-bashi branch which had a lovely atmosphere. The appetizers included octopus, broccoli, and potato basil salad, vinegar-miso, and what seemed like enoki and tsurumurasaki mushrooms cooked in a simmered style. Each skewer was carefully prepared and grilled, with delicious pork belly, boneless chicken wings, gizzard, and liver. The edamame and corn skewers were sweet and packed with the natural flavors of the ingredients. The crispy texture of the pig's feet was outstanding. The sukiyaki and kalbi skewers were as expected from their reputation. The butter-grilled mate clam was delicious. However, the tempura with shrimp and vegetables lacked a crispy texture. For dessert, I had chicken ramen and chicken rice, both with a similar soup base. The sweet omelette in the dishes was a bit too sweet. Although there is a time limit of 2 hours, this is a great restaurant where you can enjoy delicious yakitori made with quality ingredients in a nice atmosphere.

I have visited Hachibei at Hakata Station several times, but this was my first visit to this shop. The atmosphere of the shop was like a bar, which was nice. I tried the course menu for the first time (the cheapest course) and it was very filling.

This is a restaurant with locations in Fukuoka, Tokyo, and Hawaii. The food is delicious. They have a surprising variety of skewers. The staff is always energetic and their service is so pleasant it lifts your spirits. It's always crowded, so it's safer to make a reservation before going.

This is a high-class restaurant with expensive prices, so it's a place where budget-conscious people might splurge on special occasions. I visited for a company farewell party and made a reservation in advance. I was pleasantly surprised to find out they have private rooms. We had the "Kushi-Sanmai Course" for 4730 yen (tax included) with a drink all-you-can option for 1870 yen (tax included). The yakitori was delicious, but whether it's worth the price may vary depending on personal taste. The course included appetizers, sesame amberjack, fried pea pods on skewers, pickles, 7 types of yakitori, grilled rice ball tea porridge, and dessert.

I dropped by on the same day and the restaurant was almost full. The yakitori was cooked just right, juicy and tender. I highly recommend trying the lettuce mentaiko roll. The grilled avocado is a bit unusual but delicious. There is a variety of menu options besides yakitori, so I left satisfied.

I liked the atmosphere of the entrance and had been wanting to visit for a while. I ordered the specialty chicken rice dish for my first visit. It had tender chicken wings with sticky rice inside. They had a wide variety of skewers, from classic to creative ones. I enjoy eating yakitori in a calm setting rather than a lively, bustling yakitori restaurant. After leaving the restaurant, I realized that I had forgotten that I wanted to try their chicken ramen (tears). I was completely satisfied with the wine and yakitori I had eaten. Next time, I will definitely go back to try the chicken ramen.

Fukuoka City Chuo-ku Keigo 1-chome area - 10 minutes walk from Tenjin Station on the Nishitetsu Omuta Line! Located about a 12-minute walk from Yakuin Station on the subway. "Yakitori Hachibei" opened in Maehara in 1983 and now operates a total of 11 stores including "Maehara Main Store," "Tenjin Store," "Kamihashi Street Store," "Hakata Store," "Roppongi Store," and "Hawaii" store, leading the way in quality among the many Fukuoka yakitori restaurants. The "Kamihashi Street Store" was created with the theme of "clean air, spacious atmosphere, and even more delicious and enjoyable Hakata yakitori" by pursuing the tradition and novelty of Hachibei. The exterior is a mixed-use building 1st floor with a striking noren and a pure Japanese-style retro entrance leading into the store - with depth and high ceilings, creating an adult space! The lineup of skewers in the display case along the counter seats is impressive! And the live feeling with the charcoal grill at the center - it exudes a scale and high-quality atmosphere that is not typical of a "yakitori restaurant" you would find anywhere. We started with the highly recommended skewers such as "bone-in chicken" - starting with "pork belly," then "four pieces," "gizzard," and "boneless chicken wings with salt" - all perfectly grilled! Although the ingredients do not seem to be exceptionally superior, the finished product is delicious. The tare-grilled "liver" has a rare grilled texture! The "black skin" has an excellent balance of the sweetness of the tare and the deliciousness of the skin! The homemade "tsukune" has a rich and intense type of tare, so it may vary depending on your preference. Enjoy the special "bone-in chicken" - take a big bite - oh, the seasoning is different from what I had at the Solaria Plaza store, right? This one is characterized by a slightly stronger seasoning... Finally, soak the rice ball in chicken oil - we also enjoyed other items such as rolls like "shiso roll" and "lettuce mentaiko roll," skewers like "bonjiri" and "pork soft bone with creamy skewer." The "chicken rice" as a finale is delicious! Highly recommended - a representative yakitori restaurant in Fukuoka that you'll want to visit occasionally. Thank you for the meal. Enjoy Gourmet Life☆

The first stop of Hakata Kuaidare is Yaebei. I finally got to try Yaebei, a place I've been wanting to eat at for a while. This is a long-established store with 70 years of history, known for its Hakata yakitori. Yaebei continues to evolve and it's amazing. I was excited to finally visit after seeing it so much on social media. When I entered the store, it was packed with customers at 6 o'clock. Such great popularity. I quickly asked for recommendations. The yakitori here not only tastes delicious but also has great value for money. I was surprised by the freshness and texture of the Hakata specialty Gomakampachi, which is completely different from the one you would find in Tokyo. I will definitely make sure to visit again. Thank you for the meal! Thank you very much (^_−)−☆

"Yakitori Yaebei at Kamihashi-dori Street. This street is called Kamihashi-dori because long ago, there was a bridge here for a high-ranking monk from Komasuji Temple (which still exists) to go to Fukuoka Castle. Yes! Fun fact level up✨. There are many restaurants on this street. Among them, Yakitori Yaebei is a high-level restaurant✨. For 16 years on Kamihashi-dori Street, you can be satisfied with the taste, service, and atmosphere. Please try the high-quality yakitori that they boast as Neo Yakitori. It's elegant and delicious. Right now, it's quite easy to make a reservation. I post beautiful photos and videos on Instagram, so search for k.t.r.from_fukuoka."

The edamame beans are creamy, sweet, and delicious. The sukiyaki skewers have spring chrysanthemum and enoki mushrooms, and are small but well-prepared as sukiyaki. The liver and tsukune are also delicious, and the horse sashimi is thick. Everything is tasty, but is it really special? It's quite pricey, around 6500 yen without drinks. The interior of the restaurant is clean and stylish, making it suitable for a date.

When I casually reached out for the wine list, I found KENZO ESTATE! I couldn't get it by the glass, so I ordered three bottles - white, rosé, and red. I wanted to conquer them all, so I got half bottles. I was a bit late in reaching for the wine list, but I managed to get the white and rosé. I didn't know that the chicken rice dish would be so soupy, but it was my first time trying it and it was delicious. The skewers were cooked to my liking in terms of doneness and seasoning. The restaurant lived up to its reputation as a famous Fukuoka establishment. Thank you for the delicious meal.

Two years ago, on January 2nd, I took a ferry from Osaka to Hakata. After staying for two nights, I went to work in Hiroshima. I don't usually go into fancy restaurants alone. Yes. It seems that I made a reservation to visit a restaurant that my partner likes for "pork belly". Looking at the menu, you can see that pork belly is usually the first item on the menu at Hakata's yakitori restaurants. On this day, I also ordered pork belly first. It was the fanciest yakitori restaurant I have been to in Hakata. I remember that they raised their hands high when sprinkling salt in the open kitchen. They seemed to be too conscious about showing off, which made the food taste even better. Hakata, facing the Sea of Japan, has an abundance of seafood and mountain delicacies, influenced by Nanban from Nagasaki, offering a variety of delicious foods. Even though I'm not a big fan of liver, I couldn't resist trying a bite here.

This is my first visit to the Joninbashi-dori branch. The atmosphere from the entrance is nice. The interior has a calm feeling, different from the typical casual yakitori restaurants. I sat at the counter. The way the skewers are displayed in front of me looks stylish! Presentation is important. The menu is rich, ranging from classic skewers to creative dishes, and it seems like we can enjoy a leisurely meal from appetizers to the finale. However, the two of us guys started with the classic pork belly skewers! The size is easy to eat, and each dish is served elegantly. The sauce is generally on the richer side! I ended up ordering the foie gras skewer because of the atmosphere (laughs). Foie gras is delicious. It is grilled thoroughly over charcoal but without any smoke or odor! Is it a non-smoking place? There was no ashtray, and no one was smoking, so we could spend time comfortably! The skewers in the showcase decreased rapidly in a short time!! It's a popular place. I visited with my junior who is back home for the holidays, and he said it's a bit of an adult yakitori restaurant~! Both the atmosphere and the prices! It seems suitable for business or dates. Thank you for the meal. Personally, I think I prefer the lively and smoky atmosphere (*´∀`)♪

Yaebei is a very popular yakitori restaurant in Hakata. I have visited a restaurant run by someone who trained at Yaebei before, but I had always wanted to visit the original. This time, I made a reservation on the day with a time limit and went with my family. It is located on Kamihashi-dori street. We were seated at the reserved table. The counter seats and table seats were all full. There is a charge of 500 yen per person. The menu includes pork belly for 220 yen, wagyu sagari skewers for 580 yen, chicken tenderloin with plum and shiso for 220 yen, pork cartilage skewers for 190 yen, avocado for 260 yen. Some items may be hit or miss. Other items include pig's feet for 350 yen, fried pea pods for 280 yen, shiitake mushrooms for 260 yen, tantan noodles for 630 yen, and plum rice balls for 280 yen. The menu is similar to other restaurants opened by those who trained at Yaebei, so the flavors were familiar. Thank you for the meal.

This was my first time visiting this restaurant, but I'm not sure if I want to go back. The food was delicious, but I got beer spilled on me, on my clothes, pants, and even my hair. Anyone can make a mistake, so I forgave them on the spot, but I wondered about their follow-up. They didn't bring a wet cloth, and there was no apology or anything. Maybe I'm just being picky, haha. It was a Friday, so they were probably busy, so I'll let it go!

I made a reservation and went. As usual, it was very crowded. The yakitori is delicious! My top recommendation is the dashimaki tamago. It is really soft, so please give it a try.
