I went to Fukuoka for work, but due to their unique state of emergency declaration, the restaurant where I had a reservation for motsunabe was operating with shortened hours. A friend recommended a place that was open late, so the three of us went there. We ordered kimchi, chijimi, and samgyeopsal. They lent us aprons because the pork belly splattered a lot while cooking. The staff cooked the samgyeopsal for us until it was crispy, and we wrapped it in lettuce with kimchi and garlic. They also provided sesame oil and bean sprouts as side dishes. The food was delicious on its own, but we decided to order more lettuce wraps because they were so good. We were planning to order more, but we ended up getting quite full, so we stopped at that. The restaurant had opened just in March, and the interior was vibrant with K-pop music videos playing. It might be a delight for K-pop fans.
