This is my second visit, after a few years. I took photos of the current menu on all pages, so I hope it will be helpful for you! We ordered a sashimi platter, drinks (apple juice and cola), fried hokke, 2 onigiri, chicken skewers, pork skewers, and a dish called Tsukune with raw egg. The sashimi was fresh and delicious. I wish there was a bit more for the price. The onigiri was warm and tasty! All the skewers were delicious as well. I tried Tsukune with raw egg for the first time and it was smooth and good. It was under 5000 yen for two people. I was thinking of ordering more if we weren't full, but it was just right. It's been a while since we ate there, so my memory is a bit fuzzy... but everything was delicious! I would definitely like to visit again when I want to eat seafood.

Having lunch in Bihoro. First, we went to a popular Chinese restaurant but it was almost full. The female staff was very unfriendly and just said, "There are seats available at the counter." There were indeed two empty seats at the counter, but we didn't want to sit next to strangers. So, we decided to leave. We then went to a nearby seafood and Japanese-style restaurant called "Kaisen Joppairi-tei" at 12 o'clock. It was also crowded, but we were able to sit at the counter next to each other. The restaurant mainly focuses on dinner, so the lunch menu had a selection of 7 items. I chose the "Tempura set meal" for 880 yen, which included tempura of shrimp, salmon, white fish, pumpkin, eggplant, shiitake mushroom, and broccoli. The tempura was cooked perfectly and the portion size was great for the price. I wanted to get a refill of rice, but I decided not to. It was a delicious lunch. The restaurant seemed to have limited seating as it was already closed by 12:50 when we left.

I went out for dinner rather than just for drinks. I had a seafood chirashi bowl. It was satisfying in terms of portion size and price, and I didn't feel guilty ordering it for my dining companion. It cost 1280 yen, I think. It had a variety of toppings, a decent amount of rice, and even came with miso soup and pickles. Not bad, right? The marinated mackerel was also just the right level of tangy. I also ordered a skewer of chicken and a Aomori apple juice. The chicken could have been a bit more flavorful, maybe because seafood is their specialty.

It's been a while since I had lunch in Bihoro. While looking for a place to eat, I spotted a tavern with a sign that said "Directly from Rausu". I figured they must have sashimi set meals or seafood bowls. So, I decided to go in. Inside, there is an L-shaped counter and private table seats. There might be a tatami room in the back as well. The lunch menu includes sashimi set meals, seafood bowls, tempura, simmered fish, and kakiage set meals. There's also a salad bar, and all-you-can-drink coffee and tea. I was indecisive but ended up ordering the seafood bowl set meal. It was luxurious with a variety of toppings like tuna, squid, octopus, scallop, mackerel, salmon, yellowtail, salmon roe, flying fish roe, and white fish - about 10 types. It was delicious and satisfying, but the rice was piping hot, which wasn't ideal for a seafood bowl. The spicy namul from the salad bar was also tasty. The evening menu looks appetizing too. I'd love to try it if I have the chance, but it might be difficult.

"Seafood and Japanese-style restaurant Jopparitei" Today is a drinking night in Bihoro, as it is Friday. My wife is coming from Kitami and I am going directly from work to Bihoro, making it a convenient meeting point in the middle. This is our third stop for the night, and it is right next to the second place we visited. My wife's cunning plan to make things easier is evident, as she chose a restaurant we were already familiar with. The restaurant is called "Seafood Jopparitei," but the interior layout is slightly different from what is displayed outside. The large L-shaped counter can accommodate over 10 people, with additional raised seating and regular table seating available. We sat at the end of the short side of the L-shaped counter and ordered a beer. In front of us was a one-way mirror, which was quite unsettling. The beer, Sapporo, was delicious, and we were served three appetizers that were unnecessary as we planned to order more food. The sweetness of the rolled omelette we ordered was a bit overwhelming even when we tried to add soy sauce to balance it out. My wife managed to finish it all despite the excessive sweetness. We also ordered a sashimi platter with squid and marinated mackerel, which looked beautiful and tasted delicious. The marinated mackerel seemed to be homemade and was well-prepared. The squid, while not exceptionally fresh, had a matured and flavorful taste. Surprisingly, my wife seemed more tired than usual, and when I tried to order another beer, she insisted I finish hers. Reluctantly, I took the half-empty glass she pushed towards me, feeling a mix of disgust and frustration. It was time to leave as my wife appeared too sleepy to continue. Overall, it was a decent restaurant experience, aside from the unsettling one-way mirror."

After work, my wife invited me to go to Tsubohachi, but it was full. So, we decided to walk to Joppari Tei, a place I had been curious about. It was past 6 pm and customers were starting to arrive. I ordered a whiskey on the rocks with a side of shrimp fry, which you have to peel yourself. The meat was flavorful even without the shell. The tartar sauce was delicious. The Joppari salad had squid on top with sesame dressing. The cheese and grated meat skewers were tasty, with the grated meat being fluffy and the cheese having a sweet taste. The chicken and pork skewers were meaty and satisfying. The chicken tempura looked like karaage and had a crispy texture with good seasoning. After two whiskey on the rocks, I started to feel a bit tipsy. I decided to eat slowly from now on. The mackerel at the end was not too oily and had a refreshing taste. My wife said the rice was delicious. It was a great meal.

The lunchtime menu is really good value! With a salad bar included, this seafood dish is priced quite affordably. They also have sunken kotatsu seating and private rooms, making it a great choice for groups. Plus, the 100 yen drinks after the meal are a nice bonus!

I forgot to take a photo (lol), but the food had a variety of options and all of them were delicious! The interior of the restaurant was quiet and had a calm atmosphere, making it very comfortable to stay until closing time!

I heard that this shop also serves lunch, so I decided to visit. I was in the mood for sashimi, so I ordered the seafood bowl lunch. It came with a salad bar, as well as self-service tea and coffee, all for 880 yen, which seemed like a great deal. While waiting for my bowl, I helped myself to the salad bar which had a variety of options like cabbage, lettuce, onions, pickles, and carrots. There were two types of dressings, one with onions and the other with sesame. A few minutes later, my seafood bowl arrived. It was filled with shrimp, salmon roe, octopus, tuna, salmon, mackerel, scallops, and octopus. It was a generous serving and very fresh. The miso soup was also delicious with a good broth. Despite the rainy weather making me feel down, enjoying the delicious seafood bowl lifted my spirits. Thank you for the meal!

One evening, I went out for dinner. It was just before closing time, but I made it in time to place my order for the tempura set meal. I also ordered a beer, and we were served a small appetizer while waiting for our food. After about 10 minutes, the piping hot tempura arrived. The shrimp tempura was large and juicy, a testament to the restaurant's focus on seafood. It was delicious! There were other dishes I wanted to try, but I'll save those for next time. It was a shop next to the hotel. It seems that they mainly use fish from Rausu. I ordered grilled mackerel and a sashimi assortment. Hmm, delicious! And surprisingly, it was cheap! For dessert, I had sea bream rice bowl. Some people may notice from the name of the shop, it seems to be a word from Aomori. They have Japanese sake, of course, there were also some from Hokkaido, but there were also some from Aomori. On the way back, I got some apple juice. I was able to enjoy delicious food and drinks. I received a package from my hometown with seafood from a shop that also has a restaurant. They sent me "Red Shrimp" which were huge and had a lot of meat. I peeled off the shells and had them as sashimi. Even after peeling, they were still big! When I tasted them, the sweetness of the shrimp spread in my mouth... so delicious! The large size of the meat really brought out the flavor and texture. I saved some for my wife and ate three myself, which was quite filling! It was delicious! Thank you for the meal!
