A specialty tempura set meal restaurant, Tempura Teishoku Makino at Aeon Mall Osaka Dome City, offers freshly fried tempura without any pre-made dishes. The entire restaurant has a bright and upscale feel with a unified wood-themed interior. The Makino Set Meal with Tempura Egg costs 1090 yen (excluding tax) and includes shrimp, squid, tilefish, flounder, tempura egg, pumpkin, eggplant, shiitake mushrooms, rice (extra large serving), and miso soup. Rice can be upgraded to extra large for free. Yuzu daikon radish and squid salted roe are all-you-can-eat. After ordering, rice and miso soup are ready in about 10 minutes. The tempura is served in small portions, freshly fried and piping hot, almost like a course meal. Each piece is so large that it's hard to finish in one bite, and the freshly fried tempura is simply amazing. The pumpkin is soft and sweet, while the eggplant tempura has a crispy coating and tender flesh. The tilefish, seasoned with salt, has a soft and delicate flavor that is enhanced by the salt. The flounder is also tender with a thicker texture compared to the tilefish, providing a more plump and juicy taste. The large shrimp has a firm and delightful texture. The squid offers a unique sweetness and chewy texture. Finally, there's the tempura egg over rice made with dashi soy sauce, black condiments, and tempura egg. The creamy yolk pairs perfectly with the savory soy sauce, while the crispy coating adds a nice texture contrast, creating a luxurious and delicious dish. The squid salted roe and yuzu daikon radish were devoured as appetizers, but they make for a refreshing palate cleanser when enjoyed alongside the tempura. While tempura is often associated with luxury, this restaurant offers reasonably priced tempura set meals around 1000 yen, serving up hot and fresh tempura. It was a delightful dining experience. Thank you for the meal! (^O^)/
