I had always wanted to visit the famous Moriya Coffee shop that I saw on Instagram. I arrived at the shop at 10 am, where they distribute tickets for lunch. I was nervous but managed to get the second ticket. Since it was a Saturday, I was worried, but surprisingly I got it smoothly. One important thing to note is that they only accept electronic money or credit card, no cash. Various payment apps are accepted, so that was not a problem. We couldn't wait inside the building before opening time, so I passed the time nearby and returned to the front of the building 7 minutes before opening. There was just one group ahead of me. Around 11 am, people started to arrive sporadically. When I handed in my ticket, I was told my table number, so I found my table and saw a board with the menu. I took the board to the counter for prepayment. There was no explanation, so it's good to understand the rules beforehand. After paying, I was given a paper plate to pick up bread and a black object. They mentioned a one-hour time limit. Water and oshibori (wet towels) were self-service. There were also two toasters available to warm up the bread. It takes a bit of time to warm up though. When I selected my bread and returned to the table, the black object started beeping. I thought the timer was broken, but it turned out to be an alarm for my clam chowder order. It was an interesting experience with no explanations given. The main bread was cute and there were various options. The croissant was not the crispy type but more moist. The peaches and muscat grapes were delicious, and the cream was not too sweet, which I liked. The savory bread was also tasty. The crepe dough was moist and chewy, which I enjoyed, so I had seconds. The fruit of the day was banana, a classic choice. At 2400 yen for one hour, I found it a bit expensive, so I would rate it a 3. The clam chowder and salad were 1700 yen, but the portions were small, so it felt a bit overpriced without the all-you-can-eat bread for 500 yen. I had already lowered my expectations based on reviews, so I have no regrets. I was satisfied to finally visit a place I had wanted to go. However, if I had gone without any prior knowledge, I would have been more confused and overwhelmed, so I recommend reading reviews before visiting.
