I'm going to watch a sports game, so I searched for a good place to eat (lol) Today, I'm feeling like going to Hankyu Department Store (lol) This time, I decided to try tempura, which goes well with beer. When I see it, there are small shrimp in it - they're looking at me (lol) The downside of tempura is that the coating gets soggy as time passes, just like with skewered cutlets. Tempura assortment goes well with beer, and eating tempura outdoors is a kind of luxury. Especially shrimp, squid, eggplant, lotus root, and pumpkin are delicious. But something is missing here (^-^; I think I want tempura with pickled ginger (lol) What about tempura rice bowl? The rice portion is small but just right, and it's delicious, but I still prefer eating it freshly fried (lol) Department store tempura is good in taste, reasonably priced, and suitable for outings. But I still want tempura freshly fried (lol) Thank you for the meal. As expected, the traditional game attracts a huge crowd (^-^;)

I was looking for something to eat for dinner at Hankyu Department Store. Since my refrigerator and microwave were packed up for the move from Nagoya, I had to choose between eating out or something easy to eat. It was the day I moved from Nagoya to pack small items, so I opted for something more convenient than dining out. This restaurant is a tempura restaurant with three locations at Hilton Plaza, Shin-Umeda Food Street, and around Umeda. I found a compact mini-sized tempura bowl, so I bought it. The tempura bowl sauce was light and delicious with white dashi.

In Osaka, there is a popular food called "pickled ginger tempura" that is not commonly heard of in the Kanto region. A friend brought me some from the best shop according to them. In a drama called "Shinya Shokudo," there was an episode featuring people from Osaka ordering and enjoying "beniten" (another name for pickled ginger tempura), making it seem very delicious. It seems to be a popular food in Osaka. I tried it as a side dish, snack, and even with alcohol, and it was delicious every time! I also tried it on top of udon noodles, and it was incredibly tasty! I attempted to make it at home, but it didn't turn out as good as the one from the shop. The person who brought me the souvenir said that this shop's pickled ginger tempura is the best, and I agree. It was truly delicious. However, they mentioned that the shop will be closing on September 29th, which is very sad news. I really want to have this pickled ginger tempura from that shop again!
