I searched for dinner near Shijo Omiya and found this place. It was my first visit on a holiday night. The restaurant had a clean counter and tables, and you could see a authentic oven. The complimentary focaccia was chewy and seasoned just right. The Zeborini, fried seaweed, was crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. The Bagna Cauda with oven-roasted vegetables had a variety of vegetables and a hot creamy sauce. The Margherita pizza was large and had a harmonious blend of cheese, tomato, basil, and dough. The Italian draft beer and Oolong tea were also delicious. Overall, the quality of the food was very high.

A wonderful restaurant where you can enjoy delicious wood-fired PIZZA. The seating layout is spacious and very pleasant. As with most PIZZA places, the menu is mainly focused on PIZZA. However, the wood-fired Bagna Cauda here is also really good. I thought so last time, and when I ordered it again, I noticed they had changed the vegetables to summer vegetables, which added a seasonal touch and was very nice. The Margherita and Quattro Formaggi PIZZAs were both delicious as always. I enjoyed them with a sparkling red wine this time.

It's been a while since I visited. I remember they used to have paninis for lunch, but now it's pizza lunch. You can choose from several types and share with friends. You can also add dessert separately. The appetizer platter was delicious, and the interior of the restaurant is stylish, making it a good spot for a date.

Pizzeria Al Camino is located about a 5-minute walk from Shijo Omiya Station. They do not have a parking lot. At the time of the visit, their rating on Tabelog was 3.51. The restaurant has 4 tables with 4 seats each and a counter with 4 seats, so it's small and reservations are recommended. We visited during the second seating around 1 pm and were lucky to get a table.
We ordered the Pizza Lunch (Margherita + appetizer + drink), the Lunch Set with a choice of pizza (today's pizza + appetizer + drink), and the Bagna Cauda Lunch Set with grilled vegetables. The lunch sets are a great deal considering a pizza alone costs around 1,600 yen. It's also nice that you can order a la carte items.
The appetizer was served quickly after ordering, with a selection of smoked salmon, quiche, and other items. The Bagna Cauda, which we were told would take some time, arrived about 20 minutes later. It came with a variety of vegetables and the sauce was light and not overpowering.
After about 40 minutes of waiting, the pizza finally arrived. It was larger than expected, about the size between a medium and large, and today's pizza had shrimp and firefly squid, which was a unique combination. The portion was generous, and we ended up taking some home. Overall, we thought it was a great value for the price. Thank you for the delicious meal! ★

When I visited before, I think it was during a state of emergency declaration. They couldn't serve alcohol (ToT). This time, it was during the period of enhanced prevention measures, but we could drink wine with a time limit. I was so happy! The wine we had was Pompeiano Rosso, a red sparkling wine. It had a stronger wine flavor than I expected and was really good. Even though it's red, being sparkling makes it go well with anything. The best dish was the Bagna Cauda with vegetables cooked in the oven. The wood-fired oven is high temperature, so the vegetables stay crunchy and retain their flavor. Very delicious♫ The pizza was perfect. I was satisfied with the lasagna, but my partner thought it was too rich. The atmosphere of the restaurant is also nice, so overall it's a great place.

- Central Kyoto, Pizza and Pizzaria are different! Lunch at a Pizzaria. It was a Sunday and we arrived right after opening, with only one other group of customers. Gradually, the restaurant became full. The B lunch set was 1650 yen and included appetizers like prosciutto, salami, salmon, clams, potatoes, Spanish omelette, and fritters. Although the server explained the dishes, I couldn't remember all of them. The appetizers, with a strong salty taste, seemed perfect for pairing with leafy greens for balance. The marinara pasta had a tomato sauce with plenty of oregano, and the Margherita pizza had a simple topping without cheese, but with a strong flavor of herbs and garlic. The pizza crust was cooked perfectly, with a generous amount of olive oil for a classic taste. The tomato sauce was light and slightly sweet, with hints of parsley. The pizza crust, baked in a kiln, had a nice crispy texture. The blood orange juice was intense but refreshing, with just the right amount of acidity. The Italian coffee was bitter, even when served iced. It may have been a bit too cold once the ice melted, but it was still enjoyable. The size of the pizza could be chosen, although we were not asked (or didn't notice). We ended up ordering two large pizzas for two people, leaving us extremely full. We were too full to even try the dessert!

Around 1:00 pm on a regular weekday, I visited the restaurant alone. There was one family and one group of colleagues having lunch. I ordered the appetizer and daily pizza lunch set with a small beer for 2,500 yen, which was a bit pricey. The appetizer included prosciutto, salami, marinated salmon, homemade pickles, and croquettes. The croquettes were new to me and very tasty. The quiche was also delicious. Each appetizer was enjoyable and well-prepared. For the main pizza, I chose the tuna and eggplant. The pizza was baked in a kiln and had a slightly chewy crust. The eggplant flavor was not very prominent, which was a bit disappointing, but the sauce and cheese were delicious. Next time, I would like to try the margherita pizza. When I added a little spicy oil, it became quite spicy. Overall, the quality of the food exceeded my expectations. The service was attentive, despite the small number of staff. If this restaurant were closer, I would visit about once a month. It left a great impression on me. Thank you for the meal.

Shijo Omiya. A chaotic city with a mix of residential areas, hotels, and offices lined up together. It's known as a fierce ramen battle zone, but today I'm here for my favorite, pizza! This is my first visit to Alcamino. First of all, I'm happy to see that they use a wood-fired oven. Just seeing that, I feel like the deliciousness has increased by 20%. The Margherita pizza I ordered was not too crispy, which I like. The charred spots are minimal. The thickness of the dough is somewhere between chewy and crispy. The seasoning is just right. Overall, the taste is definitely a pass. They also serve dessert pizza, which was delicious with melted chocolate. The restaurant has spacious seating with comfortable tables. I wish it was a bit cheaper, then I would definitely come back for more.

I went for lunch. There were lunch sets for 1500 yen, 1800 yen, and another course for an additional 800 yen for a slightly fancier appetizer. I ordered Margherita and lasagna for lunch. The crust was thin and chewy, freshly baked from the oven, but it didn't have that wow factor when I took a bite. The lasagna had a gentle white sauce and the meat sauce wasn't greasy, making it very easy to eat for a lasagna. They weren't outstandingly delicious, but since they were made simply, I might consider using this place if it's near my home.

Pizzeria located in Kyoto City. The pizzas served at the restaurant are authentic ones baked in a wood-fired oven. The store is spacious with high ceilings, creating an open and airy atmosphere. In addition to pizza, they also offer a variety of side dishes and alcoholic beverages. They also offer takeout service. One of their pizzas is Napoletana, topped with mozzarella, anchovies, capers, and oregano. It looks like a Margherita at first glance, but the anchovies, capers, and oregano add a salty, tangy, and bitter flavor that contrasts with the creamy cheese. The crust is crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside, baked in the wood-fired oven. The pizza is about 25 centimeters in diameter and surprisingly easy to finish in one sitting. The Cassis Orange is a drink option, an alcoholic beverage with a sweet mix of orange and cassis flavors that goes down smoothly. It's not too strong, so you won't get too tipsy after just one glass. If available, it's a must-try drink.

That day, there were train delays and it took me 2 hours to get from Takarazuka to Kyoto. I've been to Kyoto quite a bit recently, but whenever there's an issue, it feels like a really far place. I could walk from Shijo-Omiya. It's not that far. But it's a residential area, so I felt a bit unsure if I was going the right way. When I saw the Italian flag nearby, I felt relieved. I had made a lunch reservation right in the middle of a holiday lunchtime, but the restaurant only had one group of two. It's supposed to be a popular place, but it seemed empty. However, I thought maybe it was lucky. I sat down and a male waiter brought me water and the menu. He briefly explained and then went straight to the kitchen...I realized that he was the only staff member. Oh no! Could it be that they were short-staffed on a holiday lunchtime? The restaurant was quite spacious. The lack of staff is really affecting everywhere. I often come across situations like this when dining out lately. Whether they are foreigners or staff who don't quite fit the atmosphere of the restaurant. Large stores may hire a large number of foreigners, but small, individually-run restaurants would prefer to hire staff who fit their image. This may lead to such a style of operation. Throughout my meal, the phone kept ringing, new customers kept coming in, and I felt bad for ordering lunch. I even ordered dessert (ㆀ˘・з・˘) I only went to eat pizza, but I felt like I was being confronted with the problems of restaurants nowadays. Shortly after, a female helper arrived, and my relief can only be imagined! Despite everything, the pizza was very delicious. Thank you for the meal!

A good restaurant is one that offers a variety of grappas. I noticed a bottle of water being placed on the table right after ordering San Pellegrino. I had thought they only provided a chaser glass with the grappa. Oh well, it's fine. By the way, I have seen some restaurants recently removing gas-free water from their menu. Grappa CAPO DI STATO, San Pellegrino 750ml, smoked salmon salad, DOC Bianca (water buffalo) & Pescatora (angel prawn).

Italian pizza lunch near Shijo-Omiya Station. You can enjoy authentic pizza at a reasonable price. I ordered the lunch set with a luxurious appetizer. I chose the classic Margherita pizza. It was large and satisfying, with a chewy and delicious crust. The lasagna also had a rich sauce and cheese that paired perfectly! I definitely want to go back to this restaurant! The appetizer and lasagna were ordinary in taste. The pizza was big and filled me up. It might have been enough to order a small size. It was not as good as I had expected.

The mozzarella and tomato jam Banhacauda is delicious. They offer a half portion which is just the right amount. There is also a counter so it's great for dining alone.

After two years, I visited the restaurant on the weekend when self-restraint was lifted. The pizzaiola (female) was also doing well. Thank you for the delicious meal!
