A restaurant located between Kogane and Yakuin. It was my first time visiting, and it's close to my house. It's a yakitori restaurant with a stylish atmosphere, both inside and out. The service is excellent and the food is delicious. The fried chicken was particularly tasty. However, the standout dish was the sesame tofu served as an appetizer. The yakitori was good, but the portions were a bit small. The dango was also delicious.

I usually go to the Gion branch, but this was my first time visiting the Akasaka branch. The exterior is stylish. It feels like it used to be a different restaurant before. There are 7 course options to choose from. Starting with the tofu that Shiranita-san is famous for. It was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, incredibly delicious. The side dishes were relatively tasty, but the yakitori is definitely better at the Gion branch. I also ordered the chicken mince rice and pudding as extras. It was delicious. Yakitori Course "Ning" 7 types for 2,900 yen. The salt-grilled, green onion-grilled, gizzard, skin, meatball, soft bone, and thigh were all delicious. It was a shame that I couldn't eat the liver. The drinks included white wine, beer, and Kuri Koma Yama sake, which was very easy to drink, almost like wine. For dessert, we had chicken minced meat rice bowl. Personally, I prefer it with more egg for a moist texture, so chicken ochazuke might have been better. Among the ones I've tried in Fukuoka, this was the most delicious.

I had been to the first branch in Gion several times, but this was my first visit to the second branch. The store is located in Yakuin, but I think it's closer to Kyobashi. Anyway, I was looking forward to this place, so we went in. The exterior of the store is very stylish. It doesn't look like a typical yakitori place. Inside, the layout is quite complex. It's not just a simple space with tables, but it has a designer feel to it. The concept of the store is yakitori and wine, and the atmosphere and concept match very well. I feel like there has been an increase in yakitori and wine concept restaurants recently, and this place might be one of the pioneers. Since we made an a la carte reservation, we looked at the menu. We ordered a bottle of wine from the wine list that caught our eye. I generally like white wine, so I usually go for Chablis or Chardonnay for pairing, and I followed that this time as well. We started with chicken breast and enjoyed a variety of skewers. Overall, the taste was very delicious and the quality was on par with the first branch. However, the disappointing point was that there was little differentiation from the first branch, and I felt like it didn't matter where you ate, they were almost the same. It might come down to which one is closer to home or work. If you're just looking to enjoy the food, that's the main consideration. In terms of purpose, I think the Yakuin branch is easier to use for dates. If it's just about the food, I think it's the same whether you go to the Gion branch or the Yakuin branch. However, the food was really delicious and of very high quality! Thank you for the meal. I will visit again!

Since the Gion location was closed, I was recommended the Yakuin location and decided to try the 8000 yen course. I had high expectations after enjoying the yakitori course at the Gion location, but unfortunately, the Yakuin location didn't offer the same experience. The yakitori course was missing dishes like chicken sashimi that I was looking forward to, and instead, we were served regular sashimi and traditional Japanese dishes. It was a bit disappointing compared to the memorable meal I had at the Gion location. Nevertheless, I plan to visit the Gion location again to try the yakitori course for 3300 yen.

They are particular about "natural wines" and their unique concept may be rare in Fukuoka. The stylish adult space both in appearance and inside! The counter seats and semi-private spaces can avoid crowdedness, so it's not too concerning even in the current pandemic situation~ It's also unusual that the toilet is in the basement! It's tidy and clean, making it quite comfortable... We had the classic course "Hana 9 dishes / Hitotoori". First, we started with the same "Grilled Sesame Tofu" as the main store~ The creamy texture and richness are just delicious! I was impressed when I first tried it. The chicken used in the "Hitotoori Yakitori" is a high-quality "whole chicken" that is freshly prepared in the morning and cut into various parts! The perfect grilling to bring out the true umami flavor uses "Tosa Binchotan charcoal" with high heat for a short time~ The exquisite grilling was flawless and delicious! The fusion of French and Japanese in the dish allows you to enjoy the marriage with wine, maintaining the same quality as the main store without any complaints. The finale was the "Risotto"! It was so delicious! I felt like I got a good deal because this is only available at the "Yakuin branch"~ This is a "Yakitori restaurant" that I would like to visit occasionally! I visited this restaurant based on the recommendation of the other party. The beautiful interior has spacious semi-private rooms with a distance between tables, which is greatly appreciated during this time. The menu mainly consists of courses, which are excellently prepared and reasonably priced, making you want to come back again. The dishes are served on carefully selected plates, adding to the enjoyment of the meal. I had a blissful time here.

The atmosphere was nice and the taste was great. The bottled wine was also delicious. The simple course of skewers and salad was well balanced and tasty. Personally, I really enjoyed the tsukune (chicken meatballs). If I had to mention one thing, I would like to have some grated daikon radish as a palate cleanser. I'm not sure about the cost since I was treated to the meal.

It would have been better if they had told us in advance what time they were closing or how many minutes we had left, but they didn't say anything and just told us that the next customers were coming in a scary way. Maybe we were in the wrong. We didn't order much alcohol, so maybe we were unpleasant customers...

There used to be a tempura restaurant called Momomoto, which closed down and was replaced by a new restaurant. It is located in front of a flower shop. The original branch of Mantori is apparently in Gion. It seems like the exterior of the restaurant has not changed much since the tempura restaurant, almost like they took over the previous space. Contrary to the image of cheap yakitori in Fukuoka, this is a high-end yakitori restaurant. While they mainly offer course meals, you can also order individual skewers. The complimentary sesame tofu was delicious, reminiscent of shiratama dango and grilled mackerel. Every skewer was tasty. However, the small glass of draft beer for 800 yen seemed a bit expensive. The quality of the wine was good, and I felt that the cost performance was better for wine compared to beer. Perhaps the name of the restaurant suggests that you should enjoy wine here.
