野良パンダム
First visit. A Western confectionery shop located on the outskirts of the Oyama shopping street. I actually thought Oyama was in Tottori Prefecture (lol). But there's one in Tokyo too, Oyama. And the pronunciation is different. Matériel offers the Ashet Dessert from June to September, and it's highly rated. So I went there aiming for the Ashet Dessert. Actually, my original plan for the day was to go to a certain shop in Ishigami Park for the Ashet Dessert. But when I checked their Twitter on the train, it said "Ashet Dessert available from the afternoon." Seriously... Well, I could go to another pickled shop in Ikebukuro if I take a different train, so I changed my route to Matériel. But seriously, I seem to have no connection with the shop in Ishigami Park (bitter smile). Arrived at Oyama Station. First time getting off at Oyama Station in my life. There's such a nice shopping street here. It's a fun town. There's even a shop specializing in Oyama chicken, it's like a place I want to visit just for fun. Matériel is located near this fun shopping street. The shop is of a standard size for a Western confectionery shop in Tokyo. But even though it's just opened, the shop is already full of customers. It's a very popular shop. There are cute-shaped fresh sweets in the showcase that make you want to try them, but I'll start with the Ashet Dessert. You pay first and then get seated. There are 2-seat tables x 3 inside the shop, and a few outdoor terrace tables as well. They used to have counter seats inside the shop, but they've been removed now. I ordered the September Dessert Glass, Dessert Glass au Muscat (1800 yen). This is the only dessert you can have in the shop. There are no drink menus, and you can't eat the fresh cakes there. After sitting down, the dessert platter I was looking for appeared. Wow (*´∀`*) This has a nice visual appeal. Just looking at it gets me excited. It looks delicious. The plate has a honey and anise seed mousse glacé to create a base, and a round blue apple coulis is drawn on top. Sitting on the base is a cup-shaped lime-flavored meringue with vanilla ice cream inside. Yes, it's a vacherin. On top of the vacherin is a blue apple compote. And lime is sprinkled throughout for fragrance. The ice cream on the side is a cream glacé of fromage blanc. It's quite a detailed composition. It's mainly ice cream, so it's a summer limited menu. The taste is excellent. It's all ice cream, but each ice cream has different flavors and textures, so it doesn't get monotonous. In fact, the level of each ice cream is incredibly high. Especially the anise-scented mousse glacé on the base is a striking flavor. I'm not a big fan of spiced sweets, but even I was surprised by how delicious the mousse glacé was. The meringue that has become a vacherin, and the meringue on the side, have a light texture that hasn't deteriorated at all, and the muscat is a high-quality fruit with a good aroma. And the little trick of mixing in the compote of muscat on the side is also nice. It's quite filling, but the refreshing scent of lime and the acidity of the blue apple are effectively used, making it easy to eat. It's so delicious. If I were to ask for more, I think this dessert would be even happier if eaten with black tea, white wine, or champagne (cries). Well, they probably don't serve drinks to keep the turnover rate up. In fact, by the time I left, both the inside and outside terrace seats were full. I mean, it's still the morning!? Originally, I only planned to have the dessert platter, but the dessert was so delicious ===========
