I visited "Caramel Kitchen" on July 15th. I've been here a few times before, usually to buy souvenirs when the shop is open. It's a shop specializing in fresh caramel provided by Glico. While Flower Field Farm was the pioneer in fresh caramel, I like the packaging size here. The variety of items they offer is quite good, and the fact that they are only sold at the Chitose Airport shop adds to the premium feel. They also have online shopping available. This time, I bought the "Homemade Caramel Milk" for 1,080 yen. It has a shelf life of about a month. They provided a paper bag without asking if I needed one. It's actually a gift for my daughter, but I tried one piece of the caramel, and it was delicious. The packaging size, ease of carrying, and design all add to the premium feel of the product. It's interesting how the sense of rarity can affect the perceived value. Overall, it was a nice experience.

Halfway through the trip to New Chitose Airport in 2023, Souvenir #3: There was a shop specialized in caramel run by Glico, which I think is only available at New Chitose Airport. I am weak to the word "limited edition," so I chose chocolate from the various types available. I remember there being something about orange... I like the combination of orange and chocolate, so I decided on this one. I thought it would be caramel sandwiched between biscuits, but it turned out to be caramel on top of a biscuit. The combination of crispy biscuit and sticky caramel... I'm not sure if it's right. Personally, I found it difficult to eat. I thought the caramel would be crunchier, but it wasn't. It's delicious, but I probably won't buy it again. It's rare and caramel lovers might appreciate it, but I was satisfied after trying it once. It seems like the caramel may melt in the summer. It might be a good souvenir for the winter. Thank you for the meal.

I received a souvenir from Hokkaido, "Caramel Kitchen's Caramel Biscuit Butter". It used to be a limited product at New Chitose Airport, but now it is available for purchase online. The premium feel may have slightly diminished, but I still wanted to try it once. Caramel Biscuit Butter is a confection that combines a richly flavored biscuit with plenty of butter and a special caramel filling. You can enjoy the rich flavors of both the biscuit and caramel at the same time. It is very sweet, but not overly so. It doesn't feel too heavy either. It's a quality Hokkaido souvenir produced by "Ezaki Glico". Thank you for the meal.

I was drawn to this souvenir because it said it was limited to New Chitose Airport. I had tried the raw caramel from Hanabatake Farm before, but this one from Glico was even more delicious. It can be enjoyed on its own or with alcohol, making it a caramel for adults. Thank you for the meal.

I had some free time so I decided to visit New Chitose Airport. Despite the ongoing increase in COVID cases and deaths, the airport was bustling with tourists, business travelers, and school trips. I finally tried the "Caramel Kitchen" that I had been curious about for a while. It is produced by the major confectionery company "Glico" exclusively for New Chitose Airport. The caramel comes in a box of 8 packets, priced between 972 and 1,188 yen, which is quite expensive. Unlike the soft caramel from Hana no Makkou, this one has a harder texture and comes in 5-6 different flavors. I bought the one with nuts. It didn't stick to my teeth like typical caramel and melted smoothly in my mouth. It seemed to contain a lot of dairy, making it creamy and flavorful. Personally, I didn't mind it, but I think I would have enjoyed it more without the nuts. Overall, the high price is expected for souvenir items at such places, but I hope they can make it a bit more affordable. Thank you for the treat!

It is located inside Chitose Airport. I bought it as a souvenir for my trip to Hokkaido. There are so many souvenir shops at Chitose Airport, it's overwhelming. The fresh caramel was a big hit for a while, and it's still popular. I decided to buy the Caramel Butter flavor for 972 yen, which can be taken home without refrigeration. It was delicious, with a buttery aroma that melts in your mouth. The box and packaging are cute and sturdy, making it a recommended souvenir.

I received this as a souvenir ✨ When I looked it up, it seems to be limited to Hokkaido! There is fresh caramel on top of the biscuit, and it matches perfectly. It was my first time trying fresh caramel, and it was delicious. I would love to have it again. 😉

Glico's first caramel confectionery specialty store, Caramel Kitchen. It has been open for about 8 years. I was curious about it before, but I was a bit hesitant because I thought that fresh caramel might take a long time to get home and would require ice packs for storage, which seemed like a hassle. This time, I decided to buy some to enjoy on my business trip! I chose the Milk Caramel flavor to take home. I thought it would be okay at room temperature for a while without needing ice packs. But when I opened it, I realized I didn't need to worry so much. Inside were 8 caramels individually wrapped in paper. The box also had a stylish and luxurious feel to it. When I opened the bag, each piece was divided into 2 blocks. It was easy to break apart. When I took a bite, it melted in my mouth with a subtle milk flavor. There was a generous amount of vanilla beans, so the sweetness was just right. It tasted even better when chilled. I'm glad I bought this. I'm interested in trying other flavors and the biscuits too. I'll write a review next time I buy them.

New Chitose Airport 2nd floor shop. Despite being an area where famous souvenirs are sold, this store is the only one in the country that makes its products on-site, with a live caramel shop from Glico. It was surprisingly not crowded. Thank you. Homemade live caramel, 8 pieces for 972 yen. The price is reasonable. I chose butter out of almond/butter/milk options. It was a rich and flavorful buttery treat. The store has a retro Taisho era atmosphere, which is pretty cool. I think Caramel Kitchen is a great place for affordable and satisfying caramel treats.

This time, I stayed at a hotel for three nights and enjoyed eating out, including snacks (laughs). I wandered around in front of various shops, asked the staff about the characteristics of their products, and finally decided on this one to bring back to my hotel room. I remembered that I love almond caramel, especially the Glico brand. This was exactly that - freshly made or handmade, it was a great experience to be able to enjoy it. It's an irresistible item that you just can't stop eating. Please try it once ^^ 33 left.

I found fresh caramel here! I didn't notice it before even though I've been here many times. I bought a box of fresh caramel <milk> @972. I tried it at home. It seems like they make it in the store, amazing! It's delicious, but honestly, I can't really tell the difference from others. However, the packaging is cute and it would make a great souvenir. Thank you for the meal!

I had been interested in "Caramel Kitchen" for a while, but had never bought anything from there. I purchased some caramel this time. This shop is operated by Glico, and I found something that I think my friend would like - "Caramel Biscuit Chocolate", which seems to be a limited-time item. The caramel is soft, and there isn't much of a chocolate taste. The biscuit is delicious but a bit hard. I think a more crispy shortbread-like texture would go better with the caramel. Since you can only buy this here, it's a good souvenir from Hokkaido. It might be a good purchase now since it's hard to buy caramel souvenirs in the summer with the need for ice packs. "Caramel Kitchen" Chitose City, Bibi, New Chitose Airport Domestic Terminal Building 2F 0123-46-6590 8:00-20:00, open all year.

This is a caramel specialty store run by Ezaki Glico inside New Chitose Airport. I bought the Homemade Caramel Butter 8-pack for ¥972. The caramels are flat in shape with a rich flavor, smooth texture, and delicious taste. However, at around ¥110 per piece, they are not easily affordable for everyone. The caramels come in a beautiful box and are carefully packaged, so the cost is understandable. The customer service was as polite as in a high-end boutique.

I woke up before 7 am on the second day of my trip and the morning began at "Richmond Hotel Sapporo Ekimae". I had a hearty breakfast of Hokkaido Zangi Soup Curry with a drink bar and salad bar at the hotel's restaurant "Hanabi". After checking out at 7:40 am, I headed to Sapporo Station with my luggage, arriving at New Chitose Airport at 9 am. With time to spare before my flight to Hakodate at 10:50 am, I browsed for souvenirs at the airport terminal building. I visited "Caramel Kitchen", a caramel specialty store by Ezaki Glico, and bought Caramel Biscuits in Butter and Chocolate flavors. The butter flavor was a gift for a friend, and the chocolate flavor was a delightful combination of crispy biscuit with rich caramel and cocoa flavors. It was the best snack I've had recently, and I regret not getting the limited edition Haskap flavor as well. Delicious!

A combination of rich, melting caramel and crunchy butter cookies. This is a new product available only at New Chitose Airport by Glico. It's delicious! Adding it to my list of things to buy when I visit Hokkaido!

The packaging is cute! The taste is good too. The amount in one box is just right. So it might be a good souvenir. If I pass by again, I might buy it.
