This time, I stayed at a Marriott Bonvoy hotel using points, so breakfast was not included in the plan. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the hotel recently started offering a buffet breakfast instead of the set menu they used to have. The breakfast buffet costs 1,980 yen. It is a lower-tier Marriott hotel, so the content was pretty much as expected. I went right after opening, so there were no issues with replenishing the food. The menu included typical breakfast buffet items. You can request omelettes and udon, which are brought to your table. The udon didn't have a strong Osaka-style broth taste. The recommended brownie from Fefeel is available for unlimited consumption at breakfast. It's delicious with nuts, but quite sweet, so I couldn't eat too much in the morning.

Breakfast at Fairfield by Marriott Osaka Namba. American breakfast is free for Marriott Platinum members. There are also Resort Breakfast and Burger Breakfast options. Drinks are all-you-can-drink. Bread and fruit are also all-you-can-eat. Breakfast is served at Alice's Table on the first floor. The spacious, bright, and open space with a nice view. Not many people were eating breakfast, which was nice. The taste was pretty good. The regular price is 1,980 yen, so it's a great deal for Platinum Elite members and above. I have some errands to run today, so I checked out at 2 pm. If available, late check-out until 4 pm is possible. With breakfast included and parking fees covered, the total of 10,890 yen is really reasonable.

A newly opened hotel under the Marriott sub-brand in July. It is ranked at a similar level to the Sheraton in Miyazaki within the Marriott group. I haven't stayed at any Marriott hotels other than the one in Nagoya, so that's my basic reference point. I chose this hotel because it's near a curry restaurant I want to visit. The nearest station is Namba, but it's a bit far so the location may not be the best. It is within walking distance though. There are quite a few Western guests staying here. It seems to be a popular brand among foreigners. The breakfast is quite delicious. Due to the impact of COVID, they have stopped the buffet style, but the plated presentation is appetizing and good for the appetite. I was surprised by the well-seasoned sautéed vegetables. It's nice to have food that is already seasoned properly since I often eat lightly seasoned dishes. The crème brûlée is also delicious. Perhaps this hotel caters more towards foreigners, as each dish and dessert is well-seasoned. This might be a hit or miss for some people. I didn't have any issues, but it may not suit older individuals. I stayed in the best Superior King room as a celebration for the opening, but there were some disappointing aspects, so I hope they improve in the future.

There are hair ties, toothbrushes, and cotton swabs available. The trend of reducing plastic and unnecessary items is positive in this day and age. For breakfast, you can choose from 3 main dishes, with bread, soup, drinks, and dessert available buffet-style. I had the poke bowl and an egg with bacon and sausage plate, both of which were delicious and satisfying. The brownie for dessert was rich and tasty, so I bought some as a souvenir at checkout. The breakfast area felt cold due to the air conditioning, so I recommend dressing warmly if you are sensitive to the cold. The hotel staff were very kind and made our stay comfortable.
