The restaurant is located on the second floor of a building in Shinmachi. It's a place my acquaintance frequents, and I was curious so I went alone. They were still preparing when I arrived, but they let me in when I mentioned the referral. Since my acquaintance's Instagram photos are always dimly lit, I chose a seat by the window where it was still bright outside for better pictures. I ordered a variety of dishes: prosciutto salad, garlic toast, and cheese and nagaimo gratin. It was too much for one person to eat (but I finished it). All the dishes were delicious and reasonably priced. There were other dishes that caught my eye, so I want to go back again. Thank you for the meal.

We went to this restaurant that I had been curious about from TV and magazines with a friend. It's located on the second floor of an old building, so it might be hard to find if you're not familiar with it. The inside of the restaurant had a cute atmosphere, completely different from the exterior of the building. It seemed like the restaurant was run by a single man, so we thought it might take a while, but we placed our order right away. We ordered a bottle of red wine, an appetizer platter, roasted duck, and Gorgonzola pasta. The wine selection was extensive, with prices around 3000 yen, but they offered us a 2800 yen bottle based on our preferences. The appetizer platter was surprisingly generous in portion, enough for a second round at another place. The duck we chose for the main course was tender and delicious. However, my favorite dish of the night was the pasta. It was a cheese penne with a flavor that suited my taste perfectly. The saltiness paired well with the wine. By the time we finished our meal, the restaurant was full and the manager seemed very busy, but we didn't feel like we had to wait long for our food, and he was friendly when we spoke to him. I would like to come back with a group of four next time to try other pasta dishes. Also, the bill came out to around 7000 yen, which was surprisingly affordable. I highly recommend this place.

This shop is located on the second floor of a mixed-use building. It has a small, handmade feel to it. I sat at the counter and ordered the omakase course (starting at ¥2,000). The atmosphere is friendly, and you can easily chat with the chef. They also ask about any food preferences or dislikes. It's recommended for those who like to try a variety of dishes little by little. Thirteen different dishes were served, including vegetables, meat, and fish, all well-balanced and delicious. It's amazing that you can enjoy all this starting at just ¥2,000 per person! I was still hungry, so I added some pilaf. The bill ended up a bit higher due to drinks, but if you're just eating, you can enjoy tasty food at a reasonable price. I will definitely go back!

Theme: Recommend delicious restaurants! (70728) Category: Gourmet ■ Osaka ■ "Gouemon Rock" After watching a play, my friend mentioned that there was a nearby Italian restaurant they wanted to try, so they took me there - "maZE". The restaurant is located on the 2nd floor of a small mixed-use building, and you climb up a narrow staircase that makes you wonder where the restaurant is. The restaurant itself has a small counter with 5 seats and two small table seats. There were various items on the a la carte menu written on a blackboard, but you can also choose the omakase (chef's choice) starting from 2,000 yen. This time, we decided to go with the omakase. The course in the photos is for three people. First, we had a fresh fish salad (I think it was called Sanma...). Then, there was an assorted appetizer plate. The corn was white corn and raw. There were tomatoes, sweet foie gras on a baguette (I asked, but forgot the details...), and an assortment of local chicken sashimi-like rare cuts. We also had pasta and baguette. Up to this point was the 2,000 yen omakase. Since we still had room in our stomachs, we added the pilaf. It had a name that was appealing, but I forgot it. The garlic flavor was just right, and it was incredibly delicious. Despite having eaten everything, I felt like I could finish it all by myself. In fact, I almost finished half of it alone. Even though it was an omakase course, the chef and manager, who was also quite handsome, asked about our preferences and gave us choices. In other words, it was a "spoiled okay course." He talked a lot about the food and even about cute children, making the experience enjoyable while having delicious food. They also serve lunch, so I would like to go again. However, I don't think it can beat the nighttime omakase. I often have beer, wine, and appetizers brought to me late at night. The appetizer platter they serve, with each item carefully and skillfully made, is irresistible. The variety of pasta dishes, with a choice of oil, tomato, or cream sauce and a selection of ingredients, is also delicious. No matter what you choose, you can't go wrong. I often end up ordering it even though I know it's late and I shouldn't eat too much. They seem to accommodate customers who want smaller portions. Late at night, you can hear conversations among customers, many of whom seem to be in the food and beverage industry. The fact that industry professionals gather here may be a testament to the owner's personality and the fact that the food is indeed "delicious." The location of the restaurant may be a bit hard to find, but it's definitely worth a visit.

I visited a hidden gem of a restaurant in Shinmachi that a friend took me to in the past. I had trouble remembering the exact location, so I looked it up on my phone and managed to find it. It was a weekend, and we didn't have a reservation, so the place was fully booked. However, we were able to snag seats at the counter as the previous customers were leaving. I was quite hungry, so I ordered a mixed appetizer plate while waiting. We toasted with sparkling wine while waiting for the appetizer to arrive. The plate was filled with fish, meat, and vegetables. We then ordered a bottle of red wine. We added sautéed shirako, Saga beef hiuchi, and oyster and bacon pasta to our order. All the dishes were simple but had a strong taste of the ingredients and were delicious. Especially the shirako with Kujo negi was exceptionally tasty and became my favorite. The place is run by one master alone, and it can take some time for the dishes to come out due to the busy atmosphere. However, it's a great place for casual dining with delicious food and wine. I recommend it to those who want to enjoy tasty food and wine in a casual setting. Since it's a small restaurant, it might be better to secure a seat by calling ahead.

That day, it may have been just by chance, but it took over 30 minutes for each dish to come out. After waiting 2 and a half hours, the pasta I ordered still hadn't arrived so I ended up canceling it. The taste might be good, but not receiving any food made me feel strange and I left the restaurant with an empty stomach. It was very disappointing. Even though it may be run by just one person, I thought the service was too slow. I felt hesitant to even order water or drinks. If the restaurant is struggling to keep up, maybe they should consider hiring some extra help to at least offer complimentary drinks.

I asked for the omakase course for 3000 yen and was surprised at the quality for the price. They also take your preferences into account. The vegetables and fish were simple yet high quality. I had the lamb this time and was very satisfied. The chef handles everything alone so it takes a bit of time, but it's definitely worth it! Reservations are a must since it's a small place. While we were there, they had to turn down about 3 groups. Despite being very busy, the chef remembered us from our visit 3 months ago when we had Iberico, which was very impressive. I wish this place was closer to where I live.
