Kaiseki restaurant located in the Maruyama area of Sapporo. This place was featured on a local TV show (D-Wide) and I decided to visit to try their "luxurious bowl set meal" for 1,000 yen (excluding tax) until the end of this month. The private rooms were a great feature, and there is parking space for 4 cars in front of the restaurant. I visited without a reservation around 12 pm. I parked my car and entered the restaurant. I was guided to a private room at the back. The cozy atmosphere was very nice. They served green tea and a hot towel. The green tea was delicious. I had already decided to try the "luxurious bowl set meal" which is usually priced at 1,650 yen but was discounted to 1,100 yen (including tax) until the end of May. The server asked if I was okay with the wait, as it would take some time. I had no problem waiting as I had work in the evening. They didn't serve coffee and dessert, but offered it for an additional 200 yen. I declined and waited. After about 15 minutes, they brought out the first dish: Tomato and Cheese Chawanmushi (normally priced at 550 yen). I was surprised by the individual serving. It was delicious, with hot cheese and tomatoes, and even had udon inside. It was really tasty. After finishing, I waited for about 10 minutes before the main dish arrived. They explained the soy sauce options: Yolk soy sauce on the left and regular soy sauce on the right. The dish was a "luxurious bowl set meal" with a variety of fresh sashimi such as bigeye tuna, scallops, shrimp, salmon, sea bream, herring roe, squid, and salmon roe. The amount of toppings was generous, and the flavors were amazing. The dish also included cucumber, herring roe, and pickled ginger. The nori seaweed was a nice touch. The potential of this dish was incredible. The meal also included Dashimaki Tamago, seasoned salmon, shrimp fry, red miso soup, pickles, and unique tofu. Overall, I was very satisfied with the experience. The discounted price is only until the end of this month, so I might go back one more time. If it were 1,650 yen, I might have to think twice. As of May 15, 2020. 3.39
