It suddenly got cold in the afternoon and I felt like eating something warm, so I wandered and found a skewer restaurant. Even though I recently went to a skewer restaurant in Osaka, I decided to try this one because it was only 900 yen as advertised on the signboard. I sat at a seat surrounded by spacious two-seater chairs arranged in a circle around the counter. The plate arrived with salad, cold tofu, and pickles, and they asked if I wanted the "skewer cutlet set meal." I assumed the other set meals also come with the same side dishes. So, I ordered the most cost-effective "skewer cutlet set meal" for 900 yen. They mentioned that rice and miso soup were refillable. The skewers kept coming one after another and the plate was soon filled. The skewers included shrimp, chicken & onion, chicken & broccoli, shimeji mushroom & quail egg, green pepper & quail egg, sardine and shiso leaf roll, and as a bonus, a skewer of fish cake. The chef was very friendly, the taste was great, and it turned out to be the best lunch. Both my heart and body felt warm and satisfied!

Today's lunch destination was a curry restaurant in Akasaka. However, it was already closed for the Obon holiday. So, I decided to try a different place, "Kushikatsu Chosuke," which I had checked was open. It is located on Taisho Street, a street where you can find other popular restaurants like "Rikaen" for yakiniku and "Tsukuya" for ramen. The restaurant had a sign outside advertising a great deal - a "Kushikatsu set meal (900 yen, tax included)" which includes 7 types of kushikatsu. Moreover, they offer unlimited rice and miso soup refills. I decided to go in and was greeted warmly by the friendly chef and staff. The seating consisted of three 4-person tables and a large U-shaped counter surrounding the fryer station. The counter seats were bench-style for 2 people, with a comfortable distance between each set of seats. They also had acrylic dividers for added safety measures. I arrived at 11:35 am, and the place was quiet initially, but as it approached 12 pm, it started filling up with office workers and businessmen, indicating its popularity. I ordered the "Kushikatsu set meal" and was served with rice, miso soup, pickles, cold tofu, and salad as side dishes. The kushikatsu was served on a long plate, starting with shrimp and continuing with various items like sausage, bell pepper, and quail egg. The batter was light and crispy, with a hint of sweetness. I couldn't remember all the explanations the chef gave for each item, but they were all delicious. I enjoyed the meal so much that the chef even gave me an extra kushikatsu as a bonus. It was a delightful dining experience.

While exploring Daimyo, I decided to have lunch at "Kushiage Chosuke" that caught my eye. The restaurant had a long history and a lively, warm master welcomed me. I couldn't contain my excitement at this point.
I ordered the Kushiage set meal, which came with 7 types of freshly fried kushiage for 900 yen (I am not sure of the current price). The rice and miso soup were free for refills. The price was incredibly affordable. The kushiage was uniquely different and interesting. It was fried just right, crispy and hot. The speed of service was fast, so I think it's suitable for a quick work lunch. I definitely want to go back again. Thank you for the meal!

Today's lunch was a bit luxurious to celebrate the end of the week. I visited "Kushiage Chosuke" in Akasaka. They mainly have counter seats with some table seats in the back. I decided to go for the Ebi Katsu set with 4 whole shrimp. Although I was tempted by the pork fillet katsu, I couldn't resist the shrimp today. The set came with salad, side dishes, miso soup, and rice, along with 4 shrimp. It was quite luxurious. The shrimp heads were crispy and flavorful, and I enjoyed them with salt to savor the natural taste. It was very satisfying. Next time, I want to try the pork fillet katsu.

I wanted to eat delicious miso soup and had been curious about Chosuke-san's kushikatsu for lunch! I ordered the kushikatsu set meal for 900 yen! First, they served rice, miso soup, and pickles. The pickles were tasty, and the miso soup had a strong dashi flavor and was delicious, so I had seconds of both! The miso soup was so hot that I burned my mouth, but I was happy because it was that hot. The kushikatsu was fried perfectly! I'm not sure if it was only at the counter, but I received one kushikatsu as a complimentary service! The service was also excellent! Thank you for the meal!

Efficient and skillful kushikatsu lunch at Kushikatsu Chosuke in Ooimachi. Located near Akasaka in Ooimachi, Kushikatsu Chosuke offers a lunch set menu with mainly kushikatsu for around 900 yen. As soon as you take a seat at the unique large counter typical of kushikatsu restaurants, the lunch set is promptly served. The first two skewers arrive quickly - quail and sweet potato. Hot and delicious. While you're enjoying these, more skewers are swiftly added - broccoli, shrimp, eggplant, mackerel, onion. Impressive efficiency. It makes you feel like having beer instead of rice. Thank you for the wonderful meal~. Restaurant Information: Kushikatsu Chosuke, 092-712-4507, 2-2-41 Otemon, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City. Opening hours: 11:30-14:00, 18:00-21:30. Closed on Sundays.

On the tray in the photo, there is mini hiyayakko (chilled tofu), pickles, miso soup, rice, and a salad with a slice of pear and potato salad. The skewers include quail eggs, pumpkin, pork with onions, eggplant, shrimp, broccoli, and more, totaling 7 skewers. The freshly fried skewers are hot and delicious, with the pumpkin being particularly tasty. You can get free refills of rice and miso soup. The staff at the restaurant always have a smile on their faces, creating a pleasant dining experience. While the restaurant mainly has counter seating, there are also three four-person tables at the back of the restaurant, allowing groups of 6-8 people to dine together during lunchtime if you arrive early.

The other day, I was looking for a place to have lunch near Daimyo and found this restaurant on Tabelog, so I decided to check it out. The location was near Hiru to Yoru, a place I had visited before. This restaurant is known for its tempura, so I had high expectations. I ordered the shrimp cutlet set meal, which was slightly more expensive than the tempura set meal. I mistakenly thought that besides shrimp, there would be other tempura items, but it turned out to be just shrimp, and the portion was small. The size of the shrimp was also average. When I dipped it in tartar sauce, it tasted like a shrimp fry. The tempura set meal includes vegetables, so I will try that next time. Thank you for the meal!

I found this place by chance and decided to go in. The interior has a nostalgic feel, with both counter and table seating available. When I arrived, there were no other customers, but soon more people started coming in. The elderly gentleman in charge of frying the food seemed a bit intimidating at first, but when I asked if it was okay to take photos, he smiled and said it was fine. I ordered the "Pork Cutlet Set (1200 yen)" and the "Shrimp Cutlet Set (1200 yen)". Both sets came with salad, tofu, pickles, and miso soup. The Pork Cutlet Set had 5 pieces of pork cutlet, which was described as a large portion on the menu, but it was actually a reasonable amount. It was crispy and delicious. I had the Shrimp Cutlet Set, which came with 4 large shrimp cutlets. They were fried well, allowing you to eat them whole with the head on. The breading on the shrimp was a bit coarse, but it was still tasty. The set also came with tartar sauce. The rice was particularly delicious, and the miso soup was generous with daikon radish. Overall, the freshly fried food was delicious. Most customers seemed to be enjoying the regular fried skewers, but the shrimp in the Shrimp Cutlet Set was smaller than expected. Shrimp lovers might prefer the Shrimp Cutlet.

The weather is nice and it's becoming more comfortable. It's lunchtime. Walking from Tenjin to Akasaka with a colleague. There are Elboracho, Rikaen Daimyo Main Store, and Utagawa Meat Shop nearby. They have options like pork cutlet set meal, but we chose the skewered cutlet set meal. It comes with a salad with potato salad, cold tofu, pickles, sliced onions miso soup, and rice. There are 7 skewers with quail eggs, pork and onions, eggplant, shrimp, broccoli, etc. We arrived late so the skewers were cooked all at once. They were hot and delicious with sauce and salt. However, there wasn't much generosity in the ingredients other than shrimp. It would be nice if they could add more tofu or seaweed to the miso soup, tomatoes to the salad, and increase the volume of pickles. They could also add a special skewer to the set. Overall, it was a lovely meal at Kushikatsu Chosuke. Thank you!

I visited during the day and had the pork cutlet set meal for 850 yen. You can have unlimited rice and miso soup. The taste, portion size, and satisfaction level were all great. The ingredients like meat, vegetables, and quail eggs were generous in size, and they serve it piping hot so you can enjoy it while it's still hot. You can choose between sauce and salt, but it might be better to use them based on the ingredients. The atmosphere of the restaurant is moody and very nice. I have been here several times in the past, and I think it's a place that can be enjoyed both during the day and at night.

The restaurant offers a lunch where you can enjoy hot skewers at the counter, even though the prices may be a bit high. The atmosphere is clean and welcoming, making it easy for solo female diners to feel comfortable. The skewer lunch includes a variety of items such as shrimp, eggplant, smelt fish, broccoli, quail eggs, shishito peppers, sausages, fish paste, chicken, and green onions. The skewers are served hot and can sometimes peel the thin skin in your mouth, but they are delicious. The side macaroni salad is average, but the rice is good and satisfying. The miso soup, made with broccoli stems and green onions, is also tasty. Although the lunch is a bit pricey at 850 yen, it is worth the money and often has a line of customers in this area.

This is a tempura skewer restaurant in Akasaka. Their lunch is very popular, and there is usually a line after 12 o'clock. I recommend the skewer cutlet lunch for 850 yen. They bring out vegetable and meat skewers as they are fried, and you can enjoy them simply with sauce or salt. The portion is quite generous, and you will be satisfied with a full stomach.

The omakase course is fun! You never know what will come out (laughs). The seasonal tempura fried right in front of you at the counter is delicious! You can enjoy a luxurious feeling. The fried ice cream has a mysterious texture! When you're full, just say "stop" to finish. The owner is friendly and easy to talk to. For lunch, the "kushikatsu lunch" is recommended! You can get free refills of rice and miso soup! The miso soup was really tasty! There's always a line, but it's worth waiting for!

This is a restaurant where you mainly eat at the counter. The "kushikatsu" here is all delicious, and on this day, I ordered the "omakase course", which consisted of 30 types of "kushikatsu" for 150 yen each (if I remember correctly). Not knowing what would come next added to the excitement. Each "kushikatsu" was light and easy to eat, with a surprising level of attention to detail in each one. It was also interesting to see the different shapes of the skewers. The calm and modest customer service style of the manager was also a high point.
