There were a few customers but the atmosphere was calm. Ordered the signature Napolitan and Meat Bolognese. When you order lunch, drinks are only ¥100, which is a great deal. Salad was served in about 10 minutes. Napolitan - the long wiener is funny and the chewy fresh pasta with rich tomato sauce and soft-boiled egg is delicious. Meat Bolognese - plenty of flavorful spare ribs. Carbonara is creamy and well-balanced. The staff was polite and it was a very good restaurant. Thank you for the meal.

I went to Nakaiya, a popular restaurant in Nishi-Nakajima known for their pasta and spare ribs, for a drinking party with a friend. We had made a reservation in advance, so we were able to get a table, but the restaurant was packed and very popular. Many people tried to walk in but had to give up due to the full house. The popularity of the place was evident. This time, we reserved a course with all-you-can-drink option. The appetizers included crispy cheese, pickled vegetables, camembert cheese, and olives. The selection was perfect for pairing with alcohol. Next came the Caesar salad, grilled edamame, and french fries with anchovy sauce, all creatively prepared. Then, the eagerly awaited spare ribs arrived. The meat was tender and flavorful, truly delicious. This was followed by a Margherita pizza and carbonara with fresh pasta, ending with a dessert of ice cream. The portions were generous, the flavors were delicious, and it was clear why this place is so popular. I recommend making a reservation in advance if you plan to visit!

It seems that many restaurants in this area are still closed for the Obon holiday, even after the holiday period. In the midst of this, I stumbled upon a place that had caught my interest before. I ordered the Meat Carbonara (forgot to take a photo...), but managed to take a photo of the outdoor sign for reference. The creamy Carbonara, not too rich, was topped with plenty of spare ribs. The flavor of the spare ribs was strong, complementing the light Carbonara perfectly. The truffle oil added an extra touch to entice the appetite. I sometimes use this place for lunch. It's a shop that specializes in fresh pasta. I usually choose from the daily lunch menu, but on this day, I took on the huge Wiener Napoletana challenge! It was brought out with a bang, and wow! It was so voluminous! And the noodles were chewy! If it were regular noodles, they would be slippery, but fresh noodles are quite something! The pasta portion was decent for a man with the free extra large serving. However, the pasta was a bit undercooked, like it needed to be drained properly. I wish they had paid more attention to the cooking process. Anyway, thank you for the meal. Maybe I just caught them at a bad time this visit. I went on an expedition to Nishinaka for lunch. The restaurant I wanted to eat at had a long line, so I ended up trying this second choice restaurant. The entrance leads directly to stairs, and the restaurant is on the second floor. It was around 12:15 and the restaurant was about half full. The lunch set includes bread, salad, and free extra noodles for 890 yen including tax. It's a great value for the price. They have three daily specials and a weekly special, and on this day, they had Japanese-style, Bolognese, and tomato cream pasta. I chose the tomato cream pasta because I like creamy sauces.

The sauce was tasty, just as I imagined with a hint of tomato pieces as an accent. The choice of pork lunchon meat was a nice touch. I didn't feel the shiitake mushroom much, but it added a nice texture. The sauce was plentiful, and I should have opted for extra noodles. But since bread was included, I managed to finish it.

It was a rainy day when I decided to explore the area around the south for about 20 minutes before coming here. I noticed there are many clam-based restaurants lately, which is great for me as I love shellfish. Without hesitation, I ordered the pasta with clams and seaweed in cream sauce. While it looked good, the taste was disappointing. It felt like the pasta and clams were swimming in milk, with the flavor being mostly milk. Is this how cream pasta is supposed to taste?
