It took about 1 hour by car from Fukuoka. We arrived in the middle of a heavy downpour. Lately, there has been abnormal weather with a lot of heavy rain. There happened to be a fireworks festival, but it seems like it was canceled. The hot spring water was a bit lukewarm, but it was nice. The place has been renovated and the open-air bath is beautiful. For breakfast, there were a lot of local dishes, and the squid dumplings were delicious and fluffy.

I had been interested in Harizuru Onsen for a while, and the room was spacious and clean, with a lovely outdoor bath. The dinner was something to look forward to. The food was delicious, but the person serving us seemed to be from overseas or perhaps it was just the style here. They brought out dishes one after another without considering the timing. For example, while we were still eating hot pot, they brought rice, miso soup, and pickles because the rice was ready. By the time I wanted to eat the rice, the miso soup had cooled down and they were trying to take away the pot. They also brought dessert and hot tea when I had only eaten about a third of the rice. They didn't really match our pace, even though I don't consider myself a slow eater.

I stayed overnight and had dinner here. The dishes were all very carefully prepared and delicious. Each dish was served individually. The horse sashimi in particular was not smelly, tender, and amazing. The beef was also excellent. The staff were foreigners but very polite. The wine menu only had red and white wine, but the choice of red wine was excellent.

The ryokan where you can spend an elegant time. The food, including fish, vegetables, and the famous horse sashimi, was all fresh and carefully prepared, and very delicious. I was very satisfied with both the dinner course and the morning buffet. There were plenty of dishes, and I thought the homemade side dishes were wonderful. The sashimi at night was delicious, but the grilled fish at breakfast had a beautiful sear and the various marinated fish scraps were delicious. The food was carefully prepared with the ingredients in mind, which was great. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal. The hot spring was also pleasant, and the staff at the ryokan were warm and provided excellent service.

I visited one of the famous hot springs in Fukuoka prefecture, "Harazuru Onsen", for the first time. As soon as I was shown to my room, a boss-like figure started moving around energetically! It was quite exciting. After taking a bath, I looked forward to the dinner. The dining hall was spacious with a long corridor, and the boss's excitement never stopped! The meal was a traditional kaiseki course and it was delicious! For breakfast, there was a buffet! The boss was very satisfied with the rice and tofu! It was a relaxing stay at the hot spring inn, which I enjoyed after a long time.

I stayed at Hotel Palace Onoya in Asakura Onsen for a trip. Established 130 years ago, this hot spring inn stands along the Chikugo River and offers a view of a Japanese garden. It is known for its "double beautiful skin hot spring" with two types of spring water, allowing guests to enjoy the best cuisine and hot springs. They use seasonal vegetables, fresh seafood, tender and juicy black wagyu beef, Kyushu chicken, live abalone from Genkai-nada, fresh vegetables from Asakura, and fruits from Hagi. For dinner, they serve a seasonal special course with dishes like pea tofu, assorted seasonal dishes, sea bream pie, 3 kinds of sashimi, bamboo shoot lantern, grilled silver cod with miso, Asakura steamed zoni, Kyushu black wagyu steak, steamed eel, white rice, beef miso soup, pickles, dessert, abalone steak, and horse sashimi. For breakfast, they offer a buffet with over ten kinds of Kyushu ingredients carefully selected by the head chef after exploring Kyushu for the best ingredients. It is a concept of a "healthy breakfast," and guests can enjoy a variety of dishes that are not easily found elsewhere. Especially the yam is excellent. I highly recommend Onoya for those visiting Asakura Onsen.

I was satisfied with the meals at the inn. I was able to dine in a semi-private seat without worrying about other tables. The next dish was served based on the progress of the meal. Each dish had a small portion but was well-flavored. The grilled trout was warm and had a delicious aroma. Overall, the dishes were of high quality rather than one standout dish. The warm dishes were served warm and freshly made dishes were served promptly. It may be basic, but everything was done properly. I recommend getting the meal plan.

We stayed with our family. The hot springs were amazing. Now, for dinner, we went to the restaurant. It was a separate space so we could eat in peace. The meal was a set menu with 3 additional dishes explained to us. We could choose between all-you-can-drink or individual drinks. At 9000 yen for one night with two meals, it's a great deal. In the room, we could add abalone and wagyu beef for an extra 2000 yen. By the way, breakfast is ranked 9th for Kyushu-style breakfast.

I stayed for one night with two meals included, dinner and breakfast. I had my meals at a restaurant called Kiyaki, where I could enjoy my food in a semi-private setting. The dinner was a typical course meal, but it used local ingredients, and I particularly enjoyed the local dish called Asakura steamed zoni, which is a tea-cup steamed dish with mochi. The menu included various dishes like red bean tofu, seasonal appetizers, steamed seafood, grilled mountain fish, chicken and burdock rice, and more. For breakfast, there was a buffet with creative dishes like tuna carpaccio and local specialties. The room I stayed in was in the older East building, which was a bit outdated compared to the newer main building. The hot springs had both outdoor and indoor baths with tatami-floored washing areas. The water quality was not too hot and left my skin feeling smooth.

"This is not a place where hard-working people are rewarded." This time, our family, along with a few others, gathered for a homecoming visit. Since my parents don't go out much, I decided to take them to Harazuru Onsen and booked a hotel. Harazuru Onsen has hot spring components similar to Matsubara Onsen, making your skin smooth. We will be staying with a total of 7 people in 3 rooms. The hotel's exterior may look old, but the staff, including the parking attendant, and the customer service are very pleasant. The outdoor baths are truly amazing. However, there was one major issue—the rooms were terrible. The room itself was fine, but it reeked of cigarette smoke. We had booked a non-smoking room, but apparently, this hotel does not have separate smoking and non-smoking rooms. They claimed to handle non-smoking guests by deodorizing the room, but it didn't seem to work. Despite the cold weather, we had to open the windows and turn on the air conditioner to try to freshen up the air, but the air conditioner emitted a musty smell. We ended up having to use the shower in the room's bath area to try to deodorize and warm up the room. In the end, we had to have the children sleep in a different room. The dinner was served in a private room that was thankfully not smelly, and the hospitality of the attendant was excellent. The food was decent for a hotel priced at around 15,000 yen per night with dishes like appetizers, sashimi, sukiyaki, shrimp, mountain vegetables, grilled fish, salt-grilled chicken, burdock rice, etc. The burdock rice was especially delicious and reminded us of Fukuoka. The breakfast buffet was also enjoyable in a private area. Despite the great service from most of the staff, the condition of the rooms and cleanliness need improvement. It's a shame that such a fantastic service is overshadowed by the poor room quality. I hope they address this issue. Although it's an old hotel, I would consider staying here again if the rooms were better. That was our experience at this hotel. Thank you for the meal!"

Is this the closest hot spring resort to Hakata? I made a travel reservation with JTB. If I'm just staying somewhere overnight by myself, I'll book it myself on a website, but when I go here and there or rent a car, it's better to use a travel agency, it's helpful and efficient. The hot spring resort seemed quite run-down. There were a few abandoned buildings and empty lots. However, I really liked the quality of the hot springs here. The outdoor baths had a nice atmosphere and I'd like to go back and relax again. There are few places to eat outside here, so I opted for a dinner plan. The meat was very delicious. However, the cost performance of drinks (alcoholic beverages) was not very good. Breakfast had a variety of delicious items that were carefully prepared. The salmon was thick, the best I've had in any hotel so far. There was no curry, but there were hot spring eggs and drip coffee available.

Today, we used Parrens Onoya for celebrating my father-in-law and mother-in-law's 77th and 80th birthdays. The baths here are famous for having tatami mats. The inn was rebuilt during the bubble period, so the front desk is luxurious with marble. The meal was a room service with a table on tatami mats, and it included a whole sea bream sashimi and a commemorative photo. The food was typical of hot spring inns, but it tasted good and we left feeling full. It's very convenient for celebrations or special occasions.

This is a review of the popular inn "Parence Onoya" in Harazuru Onsen, Fukuoka Prefecture. We stayed here for a company gathering with about 50 executives before the busy season. The rooms were standard group rooms with four people each, but the highlight was the spacious communal bath with tatami flooring. The traditional Japanese kaiseki dinner was delicious and satisfying, featuring appetizers, black wagyu and black pork hot pot, fried blowfish, sautéed mountain fish with tomato sauce, and more. The meal ended with crab rice and yuba soup. Overall, it was a relaxing stay at a large inn suitable for both groups and individuals. Highly recommended.

A family of four visited. It's great to be able to have dinner in a private room without worrying about others during the pandemic. The food in general is delicious. It's also nice to be able to drink local sake.
