Met up with friends after a long time and couldn't decide where to go for lunch. Ended up at a restaurant without researching beforehand, but it turned out to be a great choice! We had the onion lunch set for 1600 yen, which included various delicious dishes like crab claw skewers, small shrimp and shiso rolls, seasonal fish with green onions, seasonal vegetable tempura, yomogi fu, white miso taro, garlic butter pork skewers, and more. Everything was so tasty! The skewers were soft on the inside and crispy on the outside, and the side dishes were also delicious. I definitely want to go back again! The female staff were also very friendly and welcoming.

I made a reservation for dinner. You can enjoy a variety of unique deep-fried skewers made with diverse ingredients, as well as gratin, salad, soup, and side dishes. The sweet potato gratin was especially delicious. Although the price may be a bit high for the portion, considering the time and effort put into preparing these dishes, it is worth it. However, be aware that ordering drinks comes with an additional charge, so those who are only planning to enjoy the food should take note. There is a wide selection of drinks, and the green tea plum wine I had was delicious.

This is my second visit to this restaurant♪ I didn't take any photos last time, so I didn't upload them (it's been happening a lot lately). The place is located across from Atago Shrine♪ It's a very cute shop (#^.^#). The basic concept is that the menu for the month is served from the top down. When you're full, you can stop ordering. First, fresh vegetables are served, and you can enjoy them with various condiments on the table (^w^). The condiments include salt, sauce, lemon, soy sauce, and red miso! (I think there was one more...?) Next is the prosciutto salad♪ The dressing here is homemade and really delicious ( ̄∇ ̄*)ゞ You can buy it★ (But I forgot to buy it (T_T)). Skewers, freshly fried one by one, are served next♪ You can be recommended the best condiments for each skewer (^^)v My favorite Heartland beer is available, which really captures my heart (lol). The husband cooks while the wife takes care of the customers. The wife is bright, very smiley, and a great conversationalist♪ It's so enjoyable to talk to her (*^O^*). I'll skip the detailed comments on each skewer, but you can enjoy elegant skewers that make the most of the ingredients (☆∀☆). It feels complete with about 15 skewers★ But you definitely need to be really hungry to eat this amount, so come prepared (lol). Below the menu, there are additional classic skewers you can order, but you need to train your stomach to be bigger to reach that point (lol). This time, I couldn't eat as much as before, so I'll train hard to complete it next time ( ̄∇ ̄*)ゞ It's definitely recommended to make a reservation at this restaurant and sit at the counter♪ I'm looking forward to next month's menu (^w^) I'll visit again♪ Thank you for the meal (*^ー^)ノ♪

I searched for a stylish lunch spot and found a bright and stylish restaurant. They had only one lunch menu item, which was a plate with appetizers, salad, soup, pasta, onigiri, and three types of tempura. The colorful plate was enjoyable to look at, and they also brought out three freshly fried tempura items, followed by coffee and a small dessert to finish the meal. I left feeling satisfied. I look forward to trying other types of tempura from their evening menu next time.

Before 12:30 on a regular day, the seats other than the ones we reserved were already full. I'm glad we made a reservation, it's so popular. The cafe-like, stylish counter also had men sitting there. At first, a plate of fried food was brought out, then three more freshly fried items were added. You can get one more onigiri for free. With that volume, it's no wonder there are male customers here. Even the last iced coffee was delicious. Sometimes at meal-focused restaurants, the food may be thin or taste oxidized, but no need to redo the tea here! The lunch sold out before lunchtime ended, so it might be better to go early or make a reservation. There is a parking lot nearby where you can park for 100 yen for 50 minutes. I would be willing to pay for parking to come here.

At the Atago area, this is the only stylish tempura skewers restaurant. I visited twice at night. The couple who run the place are really working hard. Their hospitality is truly wonderful! The wife used to be a TV announcer, so the atmosphere in the restaurant is great thanks to her hospitality. And then, the tempura skewers arrive! The husband, who is the manager, comes up with a new menu every month, so it's always different. Each skewer is carefully prepared and delicious! The crispy batter and creative ingredients inside are amazing. The homemade tartar sauce, dressing, and miso-based sauce are also delicious. Even as someone who doesn't like mayonnaise, I use plenty of it. They also put a lot of effort into their Facebook page, posting almost every day, which is also enjoyable. The restaurant is clean, the owners are friendly, and the food is fantastic! I think coming here is the ultimate reward. I feel like this is the only place where I can experience such blissful moments.

[Tamaneji Creative Kushiage at Fukuoka Nishi Ward] Located a short subway ride away from Tenjin, this kushiage (deep-fried skewers) restaurant was recommended to me by someone, so I decided to give it a try. Contrary to my expectations of a traditional and rustic kushiage shop, this place had a cute café-like atmosphere - it was actually a Kushiage Cafe! Upon arriving right at opening time, I found out that all the table seats were reserved, but luckily there was space at the counter. The lunch menu offers seasonal kushiage options that change periodically. For dinner, they have recommended courses and omakase (chef's choice) courses. The recommended course includes 10 skewers, while the omakase course keeps coming out until you signal to stop. I tried their homemade ginger ale, which was delicious. The tartar sauce served here is exceptional - so good that it's tempting to eat it with a spoon. So, what happens when you dip the kushiage in the tartar sauce? Initially, three skewers are served, with the remaining three coming out later due to different frying times. The skewers included shrimp wrapped in shiso, flounder with green onions, and garlic butter pork fillet cutlet. There was also a delightful sweet potato gratin in the background. Later, they brought out corn, mugwort-flavored red miso-fried wheat gluten, and crab claw isobe maki. Personally, I loved the corn and the lotus root that came out later. These were the kushiage dishes served for lunch, but there was no way I was stopping there! They also offer dinner kushiage options that are available upon request, so I ended up ordering more skewers. The skewers included green asparagus, sweet potato, taranome white fish roll, bitter chocolate camembert pastry, black pepper flavored pork fillet cutlet, renkon (lotus root) and small dried fish yuba roll, warabi mochi, rapeseed flower and cheese bacon roll, and natural shrimp. The restaurant is a bit difficult to get to, being closer to Meinohama than Tenjin, but the delicious kushiage here is truly exceptional and hard to come by. I'm definitely coming back for dinner next time! I heard that a new tempura skewer restaurant opened in front of Atago Shrine, so I decided to check it out. I used to love fried food when I was younger, but I've been getting tired of it lately. It had been a while since I had tempura skewers. The lunch menu includes the following: horse mackerel, pumpkin salad, boiled vegetables, soup, pasta gratin, and three skewers (flatfish with green onions, garlic butter pork fillet cutlet, small shrimp). The breadcrumbs on the skewers were finely done and delicious. You can also add your favorite skewers for an additional cost. The side dishes like young corn, crab claws, and yomogi-fu were all delicious. I added some extras like asparagus, lily root and small shrimp wrapped in yuba, enoki mushroom and duck roll, and taro with sea urchin sauce. The lunch comes with dessert and coffee, with the coffee being a good size and tasty. In Tokyo, tempura skewers are expensive (over 10,000 yen per person for dinner), so I was pleasantly surprised by the reasonable prices in Fukuoka. The total cost is high considering the quality and additional items you can order. The only downside is the limited parking nearby, with a coin parking lot located about 30 meters away. It may be difficult to find parking if you're driving, so be prepared to search for a spot.

Today I am at the front of Atago Shrine in Nishi-ku, Fukuoka City. This is Kushi Cafe Tamanegi. Last time, I visited here at night. At that time, I heard the passionate thoughts of the manager when he started the shop he used to work at. This time, it's for lunch. The lunch set includes onigiri, three side dishes, salad, pasta and soup, along with 6 pieces of kushikatsu, a drink, and a small dessert, all for 1000 yen. At the kushikatsu restaurant where the owner used to work, the lunch set included 7 kushikatsu, salad, two small side dishes, pickles, unlimited rice refills, and free furikake for only 800 yen. Furthermore, it seems that the current shop is busy even at night due to preparations like skewering the kushikatsu. Now, about the food, the kushikatsu is truly delicious. However, the coffee was a bit weak, so when I asked, I was told that they use the best machine from DeLonghi and recommended coffee beans. It seems that the issue might be with the coffee beans. I would suggest trying beans specifically for espresso. Since there is no parking lot, if you come by car, you will have to walk a bit from a coin parking lot further away. The nearest station is Muromi. If you come by train, bringing your own wine is definitely a good deal. I remember that the corkage fee was either free or very minimal.

Today, I will introduce the lunch menu of the cafe called "Kushikafe Tamanegi," which specializes in creative deep-fried skewers. The interior of the cafe is stylish with a wooden design, featuring a nice natural atmosphere with shades of yellow-green and wood. The small cafe has only three table seats and five counter seats. According to the cafe's website, the owner has worked as a skewer craftsman, so you can expect great quality. The lunch menu consists of the "Tamanegi Lunch" priced at 1000 yen. It includes 6 deep-fried skewers, salad, pasta, 3 small side dishes, 2 types of mini rice balls (1 free refill), soup, mini dessert, and coffee. The skewers for lunch include small shrimp wrapped in shiso leaf (salt), garlic butter pork fillet cutlet, young corn (mayonnaise, salt), turbot with green onions, crab claw wrapped in seaweed (mayonnaise), mugwort gluten red miso dengaku (salt), with sauce, ponzu, and homemade mayonnaise. The homemade mayonnaise is light and not too oily, with a refreshing taste. The appetizer includes three dishes, such as yam and sashimi wrapped in plum sauce, which was delicious. The turbot with green onions and garlic butter pork fillet cutlet were crispy and flavorful. The cafe serves a variety of skewers, including crab claw wrapped in seaweed, young corn, and mugwort gluten red miso dengaku. The coffee is a slightly mild blend that is easy to drink and gentle on the stomach. Since the cafe is small, it tends to be crowded on weekends, so be sure to make a reservation before visiting. There is no parking at the cafe, so the nearest parking lot is around the entrance of Atago Shrine. I went to a new cafe that the manager of my favorite kushikatsu restaurant, Kushikatsu Watanabe-dori branch, opened after becoming independent. The cafe has a casual Western atmosphere, unlike the upscale and sophisticated image of Kushikatsu Watanabe. The interior is warm and clean, with beige and soft green as the base colors. The manager, who used to wear a white coat and tie at Kushikatsu Watanabe, was now in jeans. He and his wife decided to open the cafe within their capabilities without pushing themselves too hard. The quality of the food is just as high as at Kushikatsu Watanabe, with no shortcuts taken. They offer a set menu of 10 skewers for 2500 yen, which includes Thai carpaccio, summer vegetable salad, and a coffee petit dessert as appetizers. My husband, who has been indulging in champagne, wine, sake, and beer every day, had a mandatory alcohol-free day that day. Ironically, the cafe has very reasonable drink prices, with no corkage fee for wine, just glass and ice water charges. It's the ideal setting my husband has been looking for. Next time, we plan to bring our own champagne. The kushikatsu was prepared just like at Kushikatsu Watanabe, so it was absolutely delicious. It's a cozy and delicious kushikatsu restaurant where you can relax without feeling too formal. I have a feeling this place will become very popular. At least, we will definitely be coming back.

We went with friends on the last Friday night of June♪ Unfortunately, we couldn't see the iconic dog as it was sleeping upstairs. Every month, the menu seems to change. At night, there are two options: "Recommended" and "Chef's Choice". ● "Recommended" serves dishes in order from 1 to 10. Costs 2500 yen. ● "Chef's Choice" serves all 14 dishes in order, and you can stop when you can't eat anymore! 1000 yen (vegetables, appetizers) + 150 yen per skewer. And the best part is that the vegetable sticks are all-you-can-eat!!!!! We had 3 refills♥ As for the taste, everything was really delicious!!!!!!!!! I usually take big bites, but the dishes were so good that I savored each small bite. haha The menu suggests whether to enjoy with red miso, salt, or sauce, so there's no way to go wrong♪ It might be fun to try different combinations as well♪ When we finished eating, my friend said, "If you eat this, you'll be able to do your best from tomorrow." That's how delicious it was. haha Finally, it comes with a mini dessert and coffee. If you don't drink coffee, you can exchange it for a soft drink. The ambiance of the restaurant is lovely, and it's a place you'll want to visit again♥ Hopefully, we'll get to meet the dog next time (*´∇`*) Tamanegi: http://kushicafe-tamanegi.com/

I visited for lunch. I had 6 pieces of deep-fried skewers, 3 appetizers, 2 small rice balls, soup, a bite-sized salad, and a little cold pasta. This came with a petit dessert and coffee for 1200 yen (tax included). The cost performance is not bad, but everything is in petit size. It's a small world. There were mostly female customers in the restaurant. It's okay to bring children. It may not be suitable for those looking for a quiet meal, depending on the timing. As for the food, even though the restaurant specializes in deep-fried skewers, the first 3 skewers that came out were all cold... Perhaps they were pre-made for efficiency during lunchtime, but the smell of oil was also a bit bothersome. The staff seemed preoccupied with chatting loudly with regular customers, which was disappointing. I had high expectations after reading other reviews, but I left feeling disappointed. The restaurant is located along Route 202, making it easy to find, but there is no parking lot. There are few coin parking lots nearby, so I'm not sure if I would go out of my way to park far and come here again. There are many delicious deep-fried skewer restaurants in Fukuoka city to choose from. There was no feeling of "I have to come back here!"...

I went for lunch with a friend. The restaurant is located between Niehama Station and Muro Station. The place is small, but the interior and staff were warm and welcoming! I had the onion lunch set, and the skewers were freshly fried, coming out hot one by one for us to enjoy! The size of the skewers was just right and easy to eat. It might be a bit lacking for men, so you could consider ordering extra skewers. Dessert and drinks are included, making it a great choice for a lunch outing with female friends.

This is a shop in Atago, Nishi-ku, Fukuoka City. It's a hidden gem as there aren't many shops around. I've been to various kushikatsu shops before, but this one offers a slightly different experience. They seem to be particular about their ingredients, as they offer different menus every month. They also offer a unique BYOB system, so I recommend bringing your favorite drink when you visit. The small shop allows for attentive service as well.

I saw it while driving and decided to stop by. The exterior is based on white and wood, and the interior is bright and clean, like a cafe. The customer service was friendly and the atmosphere felt more like being invited to a stylish home party than a restaurant. I ordered the recommended course of 10 skewers. First, a seafood appetizer was served, followed by an explanation of the "tsukedare" sauce. The tsukedare included five types of sauces for dipping, such as tartar, red miso, salt, and ponzu, along with a variety of vegetable sticks for refills. The skewers were small and elegant, making it easy even for light eaters to enjoy all 10. Between the skewers, palate-cleansing mozuku and other items were served, allowing us to enjoy the meal without feeling greasy. They also have a good selection of wines, but you can bring your own drinks for a small corkage fee. Overall, I think it's a convenient place for women.
