I visited this place for a family trip after a long time. The staff, who seemed to be in their 20s, were very kind from the check-in, so I was looking forward to dinner from that moment. I soaked in the hot spring and had dinner from 7:30 pm. I ordered sweet potato shochu as my drink. The appetizer was colorful and visually appealing. The sashimi was fresh and paired well with the sweet potato shochu. The chawanmushi had corn in it, giving it a somewhat Western touch with a sweet aroma similar to potage. The highlight was the deep-fried red salmon wrapped in cheese. The salmon was wrapped in cheese and fried with a thin coating. It was topped with a sweet and thick sauce that enhanced the crispy coating and the acidity of the cheese. The fluffy texture of the salmon also matched well. I thoroughly enjoyed the colorful and flavorful dessert as well.

This is an old-fashioned hot spring inn. For meals, we were guided to a private room set up for dining, separate from our accommodation room. There was a good variety of dishes so we could eat without worrying about time, even with children. The portions were quite generous, and we couldn't finish everything. The chawanmushi (savory egg custard) had mochi (rice cake) in it. Is that unique to Asakura? It was delicious.

The course meal served after staying overnight was a bit small in portion, but it was satisfying enough. Each dish was delicious. Although the building itself is old, the interior has been beautifully renovated, making it a pleasant place to stay. The hot springs were also fantastic.

The annual hot spring trip at the request of my senior mentor in life. Of course, I brought a shogi set. The meals were delicious for both dinner and breakfast. Most importantly, my mentor was pleased, which made me extremely happy. The hospitality of the inn staff, the hot springs, and the comfort of the room were all excellent. It was a truly wonderful ryokan. I might just resign!

In December 2019, I visited Haritsuru Onsen for the first time. The hot spring had a nice thick texture and was very relaxing. The place was filled with business associates, and we had a great time at the banquet. Somehow, breakfast at ryokans always tastes delicious to me. The breakfast on this day was also very tasty. I think I'll take another dip in the hot spring before checking out.

This is a ryokan located by the Chikugo River. The inn is clean and the service is polite. On the upper floors, there are special rooms with attached open-air baths. I would like to stay in one of those rooms next time and enjoy a higher level of cuisine.

Ryokan Rokuhokan, I used it again (*'▽'*). This time I reserved the room "Takitari" with a half open-air bath and natural hot spring. The food is delicious, and above all, the customer service is great! Known as a ryokan with many repeat customers. Perhaps because there are many group guests, this time it was possible to have a room meal. Assorted appetizers. Temari sushi, firefly squid, all with gentle and delicious seasoning. Sashimi. Amberjack, sea bream, tuna belly, horse mackerel, angel shrimp, all fresh! Both amberjack and sea bream have a nice texture. The tuna belly has just the right amount of fat. Steamed abalone in sake. With scallion miso and liver! A sophisticated way to eat (^_^) The meat is soft with a good bounce. Akao dashi hot pot with Asakura pork jaw. This dish really makes you feel like you've come to a ryokan! The jaw dashi never disappoints, and the pork has no unpleasant smell. Steamed zoni. Steamed egg custard with sweet bean paste on top. The dashi is well utilized! Grilled sea bream with salt koji and cherry shrimp. This was the most delicious dish this time. The cherry shrimp mixed with salt koji is on top. The lightly grilled, delicate sea bream matched perfectly with the gentle saltiness of the salt koji and the deliciousness of the cherry shrimp! Black Wagyu steak. It's from Kagoshima prefecture. This time the steak was a bit small, but the cooking was exquisite. The mustard sauce didn't overpower the taste of the meat, it was just right. White rice, red miso soup, pickles. The rice was cooked perfectly, and the homemade pickles were especially good! I also took pictures of the breakfast the next day. The breakfast has a good selection of basic items, as well as a variety of dishes at the buffet! And among them, there are homemade pickles (*´∀`)♪ This time, the ryokan staff were very kind. They were very attentive to guests with children, and the quality of service at this ryokan is very high (^O^☆♪

This is my second visit (^ω^) Everything from the food, service, and hot springs was great, so I came back again. Although it's a ryokan, I really like the food. The seasoning and presentation are excellent, showing the chef's creativity and attention to detail. Some of the dishes that I particularly enjoyed include the sashimi, especially the fresh abalone liver, the conger eel nuta with delicate seasoning that enhances the natural flavors, the steamed eel with rice cake which is a local specialty with a flavorful broth, the sea bass with tomato cheese miso grilled dish which had a unique umami taste, and the Kagoshima beef steak cooked perfectly with wasabi and soy sauce. The homemade pickles were also delicious, with just the right amount of salt and a crisp texture. The staff at this ryokan seem to have received excellent hospitality training, as their subtle attentiveness during meals made me feel very comfortable. However, the elderly female staff member at the front desk during check-out seemed a bit cold and robotic, which was disappointing compared to the other staff members who had great customer service skills. Overall, I had a great experience and would love to visit again in the future (^ω^)

I stayed at Hodoai no Yado in Fukuoka Prefecture. It cost around 14,000 yen per person for one night with two meals included. When I arrived, they welcomed me with matcha tea and traditional Japanese sweets. The matcha tea was not too bitter and easy to drink, and the sweets were delicious. For dinner, I chose the Fukuoka's delicious food course. It included sashimi, simmered vegetables, motsunabe (offal hot pot), black wagyu steak, kashiwa rice, dessert, and more. The motsunabe was so filling that I couldn't finish it, and the black wagyu steak was incredibly tender and tasty! The staff kindly offered to make onigiri with the leftover kashiwa rice. The dining area was like a private room, which made the meal very peaceful. For breakfast, I also had a private room. Although I couldn't see the view from the window, the breakfast was half buffet style with rice, miso soup, and several side dishes prepared. The buffet had both Japanese and Western options, including tamagoyaki, natto, mentaiko, pickles, salad, yogurt, pancakes, cakes, and fruits. The cakes were especially delicious, particularly the matcha cake and strawberry pound cake! I asked if they sold them, but unfortunately they did not. I was so happy to find such tasty desserts for breakfast. The price was reasonable, and it was a great inn. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

I stayed at a ryokan. Dinner was very good, as well as the hot springs and meals. I arrived a little early, but they welcomed me with tea and Japanese sweets. When I went outside from the lobby, there was a foot bath where I could relax. The hospitality was wonderful. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, and I ended up eating too much. I would like to visit again. Thank you for taking care of me.

We went to Harizuru Onsen this time, with a plan that included three meals. Upon arriving at the inn, we were welcomed with a welcome drink. We also enjoyed some homemade tea sweets. This is the kind of hospitality that makes staying at a ryokan special. For dinner, we had a variety of dishes including appetizers, sashimi, hot pot, grilled dishes, fried dishes, soup, rice, pickles, and dessert. The tomato chawanmushi was particularly good with its refreshing acidity, perfect for summer. For breakfast, we had a half buffet with coffee, cake, and mentaiko. Check-out was at 12 PM, and for lunch, we had options like zaru udon, tempura udon, and donburi. Despite being full, I managed to finish the tempura bowl. When you have no specific plans, it's nice to relax in the hot springs until noon.
