I was thinking about having Italian food in Umeda, and I found a restaurant where I could make a reservation online, and there was plenty of availability for the same day, so I decided to visit. It was a weekend, but I was glad I could make a reservation. When I arrived, about 80% of the customers were already there, so it seemed like a popular place. I ordered appetizers, pasta, main course, and dessert. The dishes were served promptly, and the staff was very polite. I had clam pasta for the pasta dish, and it was filled with plenty of clams, which was very satisfying. The pasta was well-seasoned with the saltiness of the sea and was delicious. The white wine paired well with it. For the main course, I had deer meat, and it was fantastic. The berry sauce added a fresh touch, and the accompanying vegetables were also delicious. This dish went perfectly with red wine. For dessert, I had a chocolate brulee, which was also very tasty. The restaurant is located in a slightly dark building called the Fourth Building, which may not look fancy, but it is convenient as it is close to the Higashi Umeda station. Overall, it was a great dining experience.

I made a net reservation at 18:15 on a regular day. It is a highly rated restaurant selected as one of the "Italian WEST Top 100 Restaurants 2021" located in the Osaka Station Front Building 4 basement, about a 5-minute walk from the subway "Higashi-Umeda Station". At the time of posting, they have 2 stores in Japan (Osaka, Kobe). The Osaka store, opened in 1998, is a small restaurant with a total of 46 seats. The kitchen is run by 3 staff members, and there is 1 staff member in the hall. I visited a renowned restaurant located on the basement floor of Osaka Station Building No. 4 for the first time. I tried the most popular wagyu meat sauce. Hmm... it's sweet... My friend's tomato sauce is also... hmm... sweet... Osaka seems to be generally sweet, but it's a bit too sweet for my taste... Unfortunately, it wasn't to my liking. My friend, on the other hand, was very satisfied.

The balance is just right with the capers adding a nice touch, not too overpowering. The slightly thin wheat spaghetti has a nice aroma and is cooked perfectly al dente. It's a delicious pasta that feels like a simple and homely dish. For the main course, you can choose from three options of meat or fish. I decided to go with the pork and it was cooked tenderly with a sweet and melt-in-your-mouth fatty texture. Although I was a bit concerned about the pinkness of the pork, I was reassured that it was slow-cooked at a low temperature. It turned out to be delicious and tender pork. Even after 5 hours, I still felt satisfied and wanted to eat more. The meal also comes with a salad and coffee/tea, but no dessert. This restaurant is casual, reasonably priced, and great for everyday dining.

The meal included Italian panzanella salad (salami, olives, cheese), pasta of the day (I chose cold capellini), choice of fish or meat dish (I chose fish), and coffee. The salad was generous and delicious, the pasta was tomato-heavy with a nice zucchini accent, and the sautéed sea bass with clam white wine sauce was light and flavorful. There were several pasta options to choose from, and my friend chose olive tomato sauce and mozzarella and basil tomato sauce penne, while I went for seafood oil-based fettuccine. The pasta was delicious with chewy thick noodles. For the main dish, you can choose between fish or meat, and I chose pork with herb sauce. My favorite shop in Osaka Station Building, I have visited many times. It is always full during lunchtime. It is relaxing and comfortable, making conversations flow easily. The pasta is authentic and delicious. The desserts are also well-prepared and I think it offers good value for the price!

I was looking for a place to have a daytime drinking girls' gathering in Umeda, and I discovered that Osteria Gaudante, where I had visited for lunch a few times, offers daytime drinking. It was my first time using a course menu, so I didn't know how much food would be served, but from appetizers to risotto & pasta, main course, and dessert, everyone was satisfied with the taste and portion. What's more, if there are four or more girls in the gathering, you can stay for up to three hours, which was really great for a daytime drinking girls' gathering. It can be tiring to move to another place with multiple people after drinking (laughs).

I was really impressed by this warm and thoughtful response, as it was the first time I had experienced such kind service. The food was delicious, with careful presentation and seasoning. The focaccia was particularly good, with just the right amount of sweetness - I wanted to have seconds! The cake we ordered separately was also delicious, with the perfect level of sweetness. Osteria Gaudante in front of Osaka Station Building No. 4 is a shop that I had been interested in for a while. It's a popular place with long lines, but I lined up a little early so I was able to enter as soon as it opened. First, the minestrone soup was delicious. The appetizers were also luxurious. The asparagus quiche on French bread topped with ham mousse, bonito sashimi, and black olive pasta all had rich flavors. The seafood oil-based tagliatelle was also very delicious. After filling up, I headed to the Takatsuki Jazz Street.

I remembered enjoying a delicious lunch there before, so I decided to enter. We reserved the "Girls' Night Out Course" for 6 people, including both men and women. I also called to confirm because I was worried (I am the most junior and not good at organizing). During the call, they read out my note to confirm. I felt a bit embarrassed, but I confirmed that it was okay. However, on the day of the lunch, chicken was served despite my note. It might have been difficult to change the menu since it was already listed. Also, the all-you-can-drink option included non-alcoholic cocktails, but it felt more like sparkling wine and juice. It was a bit disappointing, but the food was delicious, and the staff kindly served us without any issues. The waitstaff also paid attention to the progress of our meal, which was greatly appreciated. Although I forgot to take photos of the main meat dish and dessert, everyone finished their meals. The time flew by, and later I realized that this course was a carb festival! However, one of my admired senior colleagues said, "The food was delicious," so I was personally satisfied with this gathering. Next time, I would like to try a different type of dining experience instead of a course meal.

I visited the restaurant for lunch on a Sunday and although there was a line, it only took about 10 minutes to get inside as the place was spacious. I ordered the Dessert Set Lunch B for 1,550 yen. I chose the seafood tagliatelle pasta as it looked very delicious. The noodles were chewy with a good texture, and I was already satisfied with just that. The seafood sauce complemented the pasta perfectly and was very tasty. This was my second visit, and once again, I was highly satisfied. I definitely want to visit this restaurant regularly.
