It had been a while since I met up with my junior colleague, so we decided to find a place where we could have a leisurely chat. We came across a lunch set that included sweets, so we decided to go for it and make it a little luxurious. We reserved a lunch course at Hilton Plaza, which was my first time dining there. The restaurant seemed to have more female customers, mostly mature ladies. Since it was just the two of us, we chose to sit at the counter seat, which had individual spaces for our belongings and even a cover for our bags (put on by the staff). The attention to detail was impressive. The lunch course included 10 varieties of side dishes, multigrain rice, miso soup, a choice of 10 vegetable main salad, a plate of 3 seasonal desserts, and a post-meal drink. We were seated, served cold tea, and then asked to confirm our course and choose our main and post-meal drink from the menu. For the main salad, we could choose between roast beef and 10 vegetable salad or seasonal fish and 10 vegetable salad. I chose the roast beef. It would have been nice if they had asked about the post-meal drink preference right before bringing the dessert, as I like to decide based on how I feel after eating. The small dishes were plentiful, and although the server explained each one when they brought it, I forgot some of them. There were various dishes like eel, chicken nanban, and rolled omelette, all of which were delicious. My junior colleague said she was full after the sweets, but as someone with a good appetite, I felt like there was still room for more, so for men, it might be a bit on the lighter side. The ambiance was just right, not too lively but not too formal either, making it a great recommendation for a date. ♥️
