Today's lunch was at Kushisho Hakata Ekichikushi-guchi store in Hakata Station, Fukuoka City. I would like to introduce a regular commenter. Originally, I was planning to skip Fukuoka entirely, but due to various circumstances, I ended up in Hakata during lunchtime, so I decided to visit. I had the following dish: Kushikatsu Teishoku (1,000 yen). This lunch set is ordered by 90% of the customers. It includes 7 pieces of kushikatsu, 2 small side dishes, salad, rice, miso soup, pickles, and furikake (rice seasoning). This set is only 1,000 yen, which is cheap considering its location near Hakata Station. The restaurant has table and counter seats. I, as a solo diner, was seated at a relatively spacious seat at the curved part of the U-shaped counter. Other than the main dish, the small side dishes, rice, miso soup, and pickles are the same for every set. The furikake here is impressive, with three varieties: nori, yukari, and shiokonbu. I tried all of them, and they were delicious. The salad was well-dressed and had a nice crunch from garlic chips. The two small side dishes, pickles, and miso soup were also enjoyable. The kushikatsu was served one or two pieces at a time. The shrimp and quail egg kushikatsu were tasty. There was also a unique kushikatsu that tasted like a mini hamburger. The stuffed bell pepper and eggplant kushikatsu were delicious. The pork negima and fish tartare kushikatsu were also tasty. Overall, the kushikatsu was flavorful and well-prepared. The location of the restaurant is convenient, right next to the Chikushi exit of JR Hakata Station.
